#flies Thanks for great content and technique, I am new at tying and the under wrap of the material is great for keeping the material in place. Thanks for teaching us to tie a super fun fly!
craft fur would be another good one, or any synthetic fur alternative like EP fibers. You'll just need something with longer fibers. Could get away with some dubbing as well. So long as it will match the length you are looking for. Last suggestion is, do you have a long haired pet?🤣
Yup It should stack from left to right when adding deer hair, the hook will help add weight to have the pattern float properly. I did it like this the first time but I didn’t like how it was demonstrated on video couldn’t see it as well. Hopefully this didn’t just make it more confusing

Can we get in water displays? Pretty please!
Please!
Awesome smelt pattern. I always look forward to these videos during break time! Tight lines! Remember to give it a nice buggy look! 😎🎣
Minnows are cool thanks Jesse #flies😊
Always like your work. There’s nothing about this that doesn’t make sense. Wish I had concocted this. Steelhead around the corner in Superior country.
#flies. Like it
#flies always love your patterns.

#flies Another great video
Great video # flies
I would really like to tie these for my summer time stripers they mostly eat small bait fish so I’m sure this would work perfectly #flies
Definitely look up this pattern "Surfboard baitfish" for a slat water version. This is just made for trout modeled after the salt water pattern
What colors would you recommend the surfboard baitfish in ?
Chartreuse and white is a good one, all white, pink, and blacks are all go tos for me.
#flies really enjoy these
If one doesn't have deer hair what would you recommend instead? #flies

Ok thank you for the info on that!

You mentioned that the point of the hook is pointed down for this #flies . So this tie should be vertical?

Can you post what the fly looks like when done correctly. Not sure I’m following the vertical tie direction
@@chadparsons1476 same as this but the hook points down (same direction as the eye) I found it still floats correctly like this though.
#flies. Looks fishy!
