Such a humble man. The way he started to get emotional when the great Sean Lock was mentioned made him look like such a simple man. Love him. One of the best in the world.
@@alicebrown2809 You're probably not going to like this...but now I'm wondering what he would look like without the beard and shorter hair. I think I've seen him without a beard before but I'm not sure. It's almost like that hair goes with the brown suit and not with what he's wearing here.
I cannot say how much I love Joe Wilkinson, no matter what he's doing. Be it the character he puts on for 8/10cats or himself, he's an absolute treasure.
@@kaysee2428 i know, ive been obsessing over cats does countdown for a few weeks and didn’t realise sean passed away until this clip and its so sad to know he is gone
The way they both got emotional talking about the great Sean lock had me in tears too 😔 a national treasure. Joe is such a humble man and there are so many great comedians I can think of who are just as great, nothing beats British comedy. ♥️
Joe Wilkinson is one persona who makes me tune in every time. His and Sean's parts on '8 Out Of 10 Cats does Countdown' made the show for me. I feel like Joe is my spirit animal and Sean was my soulmate. Anyways, shout-out to Joe's and David's new podcast 'Chatabix' - unscripted daily morning check-in calls between two friends.
Joe should be the perfect permanent captain on cats does countdown in replacement of Sean. No one can replace Sean but Joe would fit right in, in that awkwardness Sean has lol
So happy and glad they mentioned Sean but also painful to listen. You could tell it has and still does affect Joe, but who can blame him. Three of my favourite comedians, Russell, Joe and Sean. You'll be forever missed, Sean! 😞🕊️
Having watched back at episodes where he is making Sean laugh you can tell he meant what he said. When he is doing a bit he regularly looked to Sean’s direction to see if he is still laughing.
I fully expected Joe to come out and say "I'll be honest with you Russell, there was a bit of a cockup. I was supposed to be on Newsnight" or something similar.. I really, really love Joe.. :)
I love Joe. He brings endless laughter. One of my favorite moments with him is def his poem on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. Kills me everytime - if you havnt seen it, DO IT! xD
I always thought that brown suit was stitched to Joe's skin.... I love Joe soooooo much... Also, lest we forget the great lock! Oh and of course, I'm he funniest thing I have ever seen on TV, was Joe's poem. Genuinely the funniest thing ever
I watched the videos about Sean for weeks and weeks, and to see you two talk about him has but it all into a nice perspective. I haven't seen Joe's reaction to Sean until now.
Have seen and said hello to him around town a few times. Never forget the time in the public toilets at the station when he was naming adjacents' members.
I will always feel bad for Joe for the potato throw! He wasn't on the red green, and a lot of the previous and future people had worse cases but got off. He was robbed! Love the man though he's fucking hilarious!
...but because of that, it became THE iconic Taskmaster moment.... it was the best thing that could have happened in that scenario for both Joe and the show.
Except he was on the red green. It was only just but he was touching it, it's clear in the close-up. However, I do think Greg should have let him have it, just for making the excellent throw that others failed to do. Then again, as stated by T BZ, Joe not getting it after his emotional begging, is part of what makes it so iconic.
@@boskee He was wearing white trainers (not shoes) which were almost flat and it wasn't the 'curly' part that touched, it was slightly to the right of that. However, I fully respect your right to be wrong and blind. The close-up footage clearly shows it touching.
From a faithful, full pledged chatabiscuit, listen to Joe’s and David Earl’s daily pod Chatabix. It’s unbelievably funny and will undoubtedly brighten up your day
I think one of the greatest things you can say about Joe is, if every comedian could only make one person laugh and it was Sean Lock, Joe ALWAYS laughed when Joe was on. He put him in absolute hysterics at times
Seeing Joe out of a suit is weirding me out. He looks to normal. My brain can't handle it. I love Joe. He is so humble. He is so quick witted and funny.
I've seen Joe Wilkinson legitimately so many times that I am deeply confused at the premise of him on this show as... I've never seen Joe make an appearance that had 10 seconds of serious... so it's a tad jaring...
So, clearly not funny and gregarious in real life lol but still love him when he's in character and put him down as one of the funniest comedians of all time. He makes me laugh tears and snot 😂
*SO* strange to see Joe without his 'trademark' brown suit. I've only seen him wear something else on the series "Travel Man". Does he actually wear glasses? Does anyone know? He usually doesn't, so maybe contact lenses most of the time?

For some reason, in this one Joe looks not so much like a tramp, but like a really sophisticated and accomplished writer. The line is very thin, I know, but still
When he's not playing a character on Cats does Countdown he's so chill and thoughtful!
It’s called being yourself, a character is just that a character
I just love both of these guys. Who needs a real life, this is great!!
