I highly recommend playing this video at 1.25× speed. Despite the $hitty slight pitch shift and tape drag sound (because UA-cam video and audio software is complete $h!t), the tempo increase REALLY pulls the Metallica feel and sound into the foreground....VERY VERY MUCH! Shotgun...And Justice For All
It's pretty bad when somebody else can replicate Metallica better than Metallica, and, maybe they should've picked these covers to add to the garage days album they re-released.
As a mediocre musician of 40-ish years, I have to agree. 😂 I've seen a lot of attempts at covers that fail miserably in one direction or another. To be able to faithfully nail every single genre and band and mix them is absolutely amazing.
make no mistake...redoing all their 90s records in the tone of 86 metallica would be absolute ear candy. it was by far the heaviest, cleanest and most eq balanced sound the band has ever produced & flemming rasmussen hit gold on that one. the sludgy shit kicker tone of load, reload, & s/m + whatever the hell they were thinking on st anger was weak sauce in comparison.
Sweet recreation of James’ gravely baritone voice. Even more impressive is getting the backing vocal parts to replicate the awesomeness of Jason Newsted….. In reversing this, it would be amazing to hear Leper Messiah in the style of Type O Negative.
Metal bands need to pay you to write intros and riffs for them .... Denis you are EPIC ... how much for a project for vocals ??? same name and pic onFB
I love what you did with this song/style, I clicked on it imagining some faster Metallica with the already punky speed of the original, but I was surprised to hear it in a completely different way! Really unique take that has a Black Album deep cut sound and the main riff reminds me a lot of the viking punk band Ultima Thule (highly recommend listening to the A Collection of Raven Tales compilation if you've never heard them, underrated band!)
Yeah, I think the relation and jokes with Kirk and wah pedal are way too overrated. He did plenty of solos without using wah. I mean, he "can't live" without it nowadays lol, but that doesn't mean it's mandatory to use wah when making Metallica related content 😁
Wow this is absolutely amazing! You really did your homework on this one! The guitar solo put this one over the top for me. You perfectly captured the spirit of the Black Album in that solo!
I remember hearing Metallica for the first time: Monsters of Rock, Nuremberg DE, 1986, just 8yrs old. "Hit The Lights," hit me, like a whore being paid with pennies! That year, I was introduced to the magnificence of Metal Royalty: Motörhead, The Misfits, Metallica, Anthrax, Ratt, Slayer, Ozzy, Venom, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Warlock...so much metal to absorb...now I'm fully admantium. Lol
I know you do a lot of Type O Negative stuff, they were working on a cover of Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald at the time of Peter Steele's death. Your interpretation of that would be the closest we'll ever get, and I would love to hear it.
Okay, I don't know if I have commented on this amazing cover before as I know I have heard it, but it slided into my recommended just now, so I had to listen again! And now to the point - I've just noticed that little detail - you even down-stroke most of the time like James does! Also the face expressions... =D Great, just great!
This was really creative how you captured metallicas style doing white wedding a classic Billy idol tune. The lead sounded like Kirk Hammett. It would have been even cooler if you combined the key parts of Steve Steven’s signature guitar lead with Kirk’s style. Over-all you’re amazing at what you do man. Thanks for creating these videos.
That sounds SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! - Very "Black Album" style! I've been a Metallica fan since Black - then all the previous - I was sold on Hetfield. You guys rock! Absolutely amazing!
It is amazing how a change in tempo and style can totally change a song. Makes me wonder how many songs that didn't make the grade could have if they were just tweaked a bit.
Hell yeah! That kicked some ass! And thanks for not adding wah on that lead! I think Hetfield has seen this and wondering why he never thought to cover it for Garage Inc. lol Nice!
When I speed this up to 1.30 speed (with the Chrome extension "Video Speed Controler"), it sounds and feels much more like Metallica. Regardless of the speed, this is a great piece.
Strong hints of 'Seek And Destroy' and 'Escape' but the vocal style is more Puppets/Justice era IMO, can't quite put my finger on a particular song... Another great job from DP but that hardly needs saying does it..?
great cover but i feel like this would fit better with mustane vocals, like the growly vocals in symphony of destruction or sweating bullets especially the way the vocals go up and down so much
Denis, you are a savant! This gave me the chills that I get from Star Spangled Banner by Hendrix!! If you are up for a challenge how about HEY BABY by DJ OTZI. I've always thought it would sound so much better by METALLICA!!!

If Metallica wrote Godzilla (BOC)
One that writes itself? Sour Times by Portishead, if done by Type O. Could really be epic.
One that would write itself, Sour Times by Portishead, if done by Type O....
@@metalcrow1879 Oooh, yes to that!
Jethro Tulls "Locomotive Breath" in the style of Metallica...after all they did win best hard rock/metal album in 89😂🤣😂
I think Rebel Yell on Kill 'Em All style would sound amazing
Oh yeah
Great suggestion.. ...
In Motorhead style.. deffo.
Rebel Yell 'em All?
I highly recommend playing this video at 1.25× speed. Despite the $hitty slight pitch shift and tape drag sound (because UA-cam video and audio software is complete $h!t), the tempo increase REALLY pulls the Metallica feel and sound into the foreground....VERY VERY MUCH!
Shotgun...And Justice For All
DEFINITELY much better at 1.25x. Thanks for the heads-up!
Yes! That's it. Sounds souch better. Thanks my guy!
You nailed it. This is the way.
😅 I did that.... fucking brilliant 🤘
1.5x speed is even better. I dare you to tell me i am wrong.
I like that it's still 1:45 before the vocals come in.
More Metallica than the last 5 albums combined.
Agreed. They ain’t sounded like Metallica since And Justice fo All🤷🏽♂️
Indeed!👍🏻
@@franciscodiaz6026Agreed.
Isn't it up to the band what Metallics sounds like?
It's pretty bad when somebody else can replicate Metallica better than Metallica, and, maybe they should've picked these covers to add to the garage days album they re-released.
That solo sound is spot on Black Album!
Good god. There are no words for this level of talent.

White Weddinggggggarghh ! 😬
best wishes 😘
I was waiting for the Hetfield "ahh" at the end of every line in the chorus.... perfect!
Classic Metallica long intro!
It’s great as its own song. Great vocals too and solo; you’re a master at this.
May I suggest 1986’s Metallica does 1997’s Load album.
Solo reminded me of To live is to die solo, for a couple of notes.
Seriously on the Load remix.
what would happen if 1986 Metallica did St Anger? 🤔
Load is great on its own, but seriously, Bleeding Me, played in vein of Orion... Thought itself gives me chills!
make no mistake...redoing all their 90s records in the tone of 86 metallica would be absolute ear candy. it was by far the heaviest, cleanest and most eq balanced sound the band has ever produced & flemming rasmussen hit gold on that one. the sludgy shit kicker tone of load, reload, & s/m + whatever the hell they were thinking on st anger was weak sauce in comparison.
You know I grew up loving both of these artists and for you to put them together like this is genius. And it works so fucking well!
*immediately adds to car's thumbdrive and PC playlist*
Sweet! You knocked it out of the park!
Sweet recreation of James’ gravely baritone voice. Even more impressive is getting the backing vocal parts to replicate the awesomeness of Jason Newsted…..

Great job, but needs more “YEAH!”
Yeah.
YEEEE EEE YEAHAA HAAAA!!!!
Yeah-eh-yeahah

That is perfect! You NAILED it! Sounds amazing!
So many ways to play this song. From Type O negative, Pantera, WhiteZombie, Slayer and in the same style of killem all.
Absolutely, you'll probably hear different styles of this song in the future
You've done an excellent job capturing this 're-imagining' of the tune. Kudos!
Awesome as usual
Thank you for not using a wah on the solo!!!
Yeah, I think the relation and jokes with Kirk and wah pedal are way too overrated. He did plenty of solos without using wah. I mean, he "can't live" without it nowadays lol, but that doesn't mean it's mandatory to use wah when making Metallica related content 😁
I love wah pedal@@DenisPauna

Daaaayuum you are monumentally talented!
If Metallica wrote Achilles Last Stand.
I know you do a lot of Type O Negative stuff, they were working on a cover of Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald at the time of Peter Steele's death.

As a big Metallica fan, this is amazing! Well done and thank you. 🙂👍🤟
This is amazing, and my favorite cover that you've done so far!
Awesome cover, denis 😎🤘🏻🎸 this cover sounds impressive. Totally spot on to their style.
You NAILED it, as always !
Dude you are crazy freaking talented and you nailed ut. This works freaking really well I love this. Great Black Album vibes and tone
Oh MAN! You NAILED this one! Perfect-O!!!!!
Sounds great!
Okay wow, this is just sick. It really screams Metallica right in your face. Feels Load/Unload-ish to me. Great work!
A whole new way to enjoy 80's hits!
Death Magnetic/Hardwire style!
Amazing!
My respect!
Nearly 2 min intro, spot on 👌

Genius! Imagine cómo sonaria al estilo de Therion con orquesta y voces soprano femeninas!!
thats pretty good, very And Justice For All feel
This is my new favorite version of this song! OUTSTANDING!! 🤟🏼
Hellyeah always liked this song and this kicks ass. I'll pass it along.
Awesome!!! Kick it up to 1.25 speed and it sounds even more perfect for Metallica
That was sens-dam-sational! The solo had Black Album written all over it, loved it start to finish!
Have you done Type O white wedding? Black wedding?
Or Green Wedding
The Cars "Let's Go" writen by Motorhead
Where's the wah?
That’s crazy, man! Nice work! 🤟🏼
Sounds killer on both fronts! Although I fear the authenticity is a bit off considering we can hear the bass hahaha. Wicked job my man!
I really love this! Thank you!
This one works really great.
You forgot to put in the YAYEEAAHH!!!
Hell yeah! That kicked some ass! And thanks for not adding wah on that lead! I think Hetfield has seen this and wondering why he never thought to cover it for Garage Inc. lol Nice!
nice. i was thinking if you could do one more melodic with this song.
It's a big day in my house when Denis releases a new video. Yeah, I don't get out much but still, it's awesome either way. 🤘🏼
Love the intro riff. Metal rules!
I love how there’s the almost two minute guitar jam lol great rendition though really
You are freaking talented my friend!
I could stand to listen to it!
Just discovered your channel and im glad i did . 🤟

Pure Death Magnetic stile. I like it, well done.
Your "Doors -> Enter Sandman" is Brilliant!
This is awesome!
Sounds like an "And Justice For All" White Wedding 😃
This is good. It makes me wonder what Billy's vocals would sound like over this music.
WTF, how does this have less than 900 likes? This was amazing.
Strong hints of 'Seek And Destroy' and 'Escape' but the vocal style is more Puppets/Justice era IMO, can't quite put my finger on a particular song...
Another great job from DP but that hardly needs saying does it..?
Amazing, Denis!!
Cool idea. But guys, you should also check out how Sentenced (from Finland) took this song.
Excellent!! So authentic. 😁👍❤️ Just subscribed.
Awesome, as always…
Iron Maiden - Stray Cat Strut…
Avenged Sevenfold - Roxanne….
Maneskin - Bat Out Of Hell….
Please 😏
Do you have a mega death version. Or a type o neg
great cover but i feel like this would fit better with mustane vocals, like the growly vocals in symphony of destruction or sweating bullets
especially the way the vocals go up and down so much
wonderful take!
Goes to my car's thumbdrive with other Metallica stuff... Amazing!
This is very good!!! I could listen to this all the time. 👍👍
Yes yes yes.....would have loved to hear that band do this fuk'n kick ass man 😂 ....love this version ❤ great job
Dam Denis , that takes talent. Love it
OH MAN!!! this has got to be an original!
Sweet sixteen in unforgiven style👌🏼👌🏼awesome Videos 🤘🏼

Hey what if Rammstein wrote Blue Monday by New Order?
For 17.of may 20 24?? 🇧🇻 .NO.
Freakin Sweet dude!! Well done. Best version ever!
You make me laugh, bro. This is too cool.
Cool. Finnish band, Sentenced, did also a metal version of this song. You might enjoy it also...
Way better than the AI versions of "if.....wrote....". Awesome man!!!
Really cool! That means, that pedal and distortion makes the metal!
Great work on this one :)
Definitely got the …and Justice vibe nailed here.
Denis, you are a savant! This gave me the chills that I get from Star Spangled Banner by Hendrix!! If you are up for a challenge how about HEY BABY by DJ OTZI. I've always thought it would sound so much better by METALLICA!!!
