I'm a lifelong ZZ Top fan and a drummer for more than 30 years... I think Frank Beard is underrated!! Who played the drums for this?? They did a great job of capturing Frank's style!! 👏👏👏
ZZ Top are massively underrated, every album is full of great songs, and their "hits" are completely unrepresentative of their range. And you don't get any of that without a rock solid drummer.

This has such an underrated toughness to it. Letting the beats slowed down, gives more oomph to those riffs. This is such a great idea. What if ZZ Top covered these epic metal albums? This is some real wild west shit. Great job.

Words cannot truly express my enjoyment of this video. As a lifelong fan of ZZ Top . . and I confess not that much of a Metallica fan, but there are a few songs of theirs that I do love heaps . . I always unconsciously put my own stamp on everything I perform live at my gigs as a covers act playing Blues-Rock classics with backing tracks providing bass and drums etc while I play live lead and rhythm guitar and sing in my gravelly voice. I've been told that I sound like a one-man ZZ Top. I've had the whole Marshall JMP-1 thing happening for the past 25 years, and was really happy to read somewhere that Billy Gibbons had taken to using it in his live and studio rigs as well. And of course I gotta compliment you on your vocals. You have both Billy and Dusty's vocals down pat. No mean feat!! You really do have that authentic ZZ Top sound, right to the last squealer. I just liked and subscribed so I can find your material again. Thank you so much for providing this for free on UA-cam. There have been other tribute albums dedicated to both Metallica and ZZ Top over the years, like Sharp Dressed Men for example, but nothing that made my hair stand up straight like this album does.
I just wanted to say, this is amazing. It runs the gauntlet between utterly ridiculous, to just madcap genius and you've done both bands proud. This is so good. I love it.
