- Here's the WHOLE album 'Kill 'Em All' by Metallica as if ZZ Top wrote it. Even though a few days passed by, this video counts as a KEA 40th Anniversary!
I'm so happy that so many of you liked my ZZ Top 'Seek&Destroy' and way happier that I could record and deliver this rendition to you, enjoy!

This is an amazing example of just how much DNA the blues, rock, and metal share. I was expecting Seek and Destroy to be especially good in ZZ's style, and you did not dissapoint. Great job guys. 👍👍

I'm a lifelong ZZ Top fan and a drummer for more than 30 years... I think Frank Beard is underrated!! Who played the drums for this?? They did a great job of capturing Frank's style!! 👏👏👏

The biggest takeaway from projects like this should be that a good song is a good song regardless of how it's presented.
*Proof that arrangement and producer / production is everything.* You can make most any song metal, punk, or ZZ Top blues rock.

Phenomenal and I’ll be honest with you the engineering and mix sounds great. Cliff Burton would be absolutely pleased with the amount of bass that’s being put into each one of these songs volumize beautiful.

Fun Fact: ZZ Top's "Eliminator" was released March 23, 1983. Metallica's "Kill 'Em All" was released July 25, 1983, almost exactly 4 month later.

ZZ Top is my favorite style of yours, because it was always a dream of mine to hear rock versions of metal songs. I was worried that you wouldn't do it again - so hearing the entire "Kill 'Em All" album rock'd-up is a great surprise!!

Words cannot truly express my enjoyment of this video. As a lifelong fan of ZZ Top . . and I confess not that much of a Metallica fan, but there are a few songs of theirs that I do love heaps . . I always unconsciously put my own stamp on everything I perform live at my gigs as a covers act playing Blues-Rock classics with backing tracks providing bass and drums etc while I play live lead and rhythm guitar and sing in my gravelly voice. I've been told that I sound like a one-man ZZ Top. I've had the whole Marshall JMP-1 thing happening for the past 25 years, and was really happy to read somewhere that Billy Gibbons had taken to using it in his live and studio rigs as well.
And of course I gotta compliment you on your vocals. You have both Billy and Dusty's vocals down pat. No mean feat!!
You really do have that authentic ZZ Top sound, right to the last squealer. I just liked and subscribed so I can find your material again. Thank you so much for providing this for free on UA-cam. There have been other tribute albums dedicated to both Metallica and ZZ Top over the years, like Sharp Dressed Men for example, but nothing that made my hair stand up straight like this album does.
Only on The Four Horsemen now and its awesome! I can't help but think The Mechanix would have been even more appropriate for a ZZ Top cover, considering the lyrics! Keep up the kickass work, brother!
