- Here's 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' by Kiss, but as if Metallica wrote the song. I was aiming for 90s era, with late 80s, but many other album influences can be heard.

WOW!!! To take one of the most pop KISS songs of all time and to reimagine it channeling Metallica is pretty damn awesome!
I would not have thought of this and am impressed! Maybe the next course of action would be to cover Nothing Else Matters in the style of KISS.

Second this. I love NEM, but I'd be really impressed if you could find a way to do it in the style of KISS without it sounding repetitive. There's a good reason that they don't let their songs go on very long.
@PatrickCordaneReeves The only decent KISS comparison to 'Nothing Else Matters' I can think of - might be 'I Still Love You' from their 1982 album 'Creatures of the Night'. 6 minutes long and brooding. Very underrated song that has good guitar solo work by Vinnie Vincent, even though Vincent was not yet an official band member.
I think James would substitute "baby" for "YEAH!"
Seriously? He took a disco rock song and turned it into a Metallica ballad. I think he did a phenomenal job. Unless you could do better. I would say apologize to this guy.

Love how perfectly you translated the original's chorus into the sound of the guitar harmonies, sounds beautiful and it's like it always was a Metallica song. Also the ending switching to something more out of the Load-era was great! 🤘

I dunno man, the style is spot on but reducing the vocal line to just 2 notes was a mistake I think. Metallica may not have the _most_ melodious sound out there, but they are not _that_ monotonous.
The today Metallica it's the most monotonus and boring than a rivet, if you think that this kind of a cover / interpretation got it's flaws, then think about it again because this song version it's more badass than everything ever done by Metallica about 20 years ever since in the past or even more.
Change "monotonous" to "monotonic" and I agree 100%.
But playing it safe vocally is never the worst option, when it comes to metal. Vocals were there, didn't detract from the guitar perfection.

For the most part I agree! Like this cover is definitely good! But I agree that Metallica is groovier than that. The main line I felt was too flat. It just needed a lil' more spunk.

You totally nailed this one. Awesome rendition. Sounds exactly like an 80s (mid or late) version of Metallica, as if they really wrote this song originally.
You nailed James Hetfield's voice and unique singing style, Hammet's guitar, Ulrich's drumming.
I like your improviso Metallica version of KISS's song...more than KISS's corny "quasi-disco" sounding version, from the 70s, of their own song.
There’s only 3 yeahs and no drum fails so it’s not really a Metallica-like cover.
The compulsory "kicks-drums and two cymbals" Lars ending wouldn't have done any harm either.

Man, I love this! The only thing I would like to have seen added is the guitar solo. The exact guitar solo from the original, but overusing the wah-wah and maybe with some other Kirk embellishments would have fit right in to the bridge.

I wanted to make sure I didn't actually watch the video, so I made a point of just using my headphones while listening to this. I am laughing so hard as this is so wrong on so many levels as I grew up on Kiss in grade school and Jr. High, and Metallica in high school and college and memories that mixed. Oh, the trauma.

To be fair, if Ghost played it, it wouldn't sound that different from this, just more polished. (Although "Dance Macabre" suggests that Tobias and co. would keep at least some of the original's disco feel.)
