I was hesitant to purchase an open box carseat but it came in excellent condition and saved $35. Box was damaged as stated before I purchased it, but the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxIxQe7nPH74g_xtI5NgiE9-zpGNkfgovw car seat looks brand new and I don't think it was ever used. I will update of course if I have any issues with this carseat but I don't think I will. Also it is surprisingly lightweight, the handle feels secure unlike my previous EvenFlo that was gifted to us. Love it !

Nuna is phasing out the Lite, Lite R, and Lite LX in favor of the RX and Lite RX. I don’t really understand this decision to phase out all three. The Lite RX is 6.9 lbs and $550. The other three are still in the 5 lb range and around $300. I don’t see how the extra cost and weight now differ that much from other infant car seats when they were known for being super lightweight? The Graco Snugride 35 Lite is only .3 lbs heavier than the Lite RX and is around $120. It seems like you’re paying $400 for the car seat to not have a base. I’m glad I got one of the few remaining Nuna Pipa Lite R. I know you have nothing to do with this decision. I’m just frustrated and disappointed this happened.
Are there sizing differences between Lite RX and RX? I just purchased a Lite RX and it feels so much longer than the RX I saw in store, but I don't know if I'm just misremembering. The received one also weighs almost 9lbs. Is the 6.9lb rating without things like infant insert and canopy?
why do some carseats say infant and others don't? Is there a real difference or is it just store description?

I was just informed by someone via Nuna Chat support that the Pipa Lite Rx with the Relx base has been discontinued 😢 I’m bummed about it tbh. I asked why and her was response was “We have been working to refine the PIPA line and transition some of our infant car seat platforms to meet the upcoming proposed standards. NHTSA has not released its final ruling with the particulars for this change yet. However, we anticipate the new standard will pass soon, so we are proactively making the design changes needed” ….so yea 💔
Hi, i heard the pipa lite has been discontinued because of some change in regulations…is that true? Is it still safe if i get it and use?
It’s definitely still safe. The NHTSA standard is changing, but there isn’t any recall or anything like that. It’s perfectly safe to use.
