And that's the thing. As a content creator, always covering new stuff, it is hard to go back to a game that we covered when the campaign was live. And to be fair, most people don't, because there simply isn't time. But if feels really good to do it, especially when I really like the game.

Perfect timing, Paul! 👏I want to get my copy out soon. Really like the deluxe version of this one. The deluxification of board games is a great thing. CoB and Ra are my absolute best examples of how to do these right.
I think the acrilic pieces in CoB are pretty good and if the deluxification stopped there, it would be great for me. But I don’t 100% like the new boards and the miniatures are simply nonsense: they get in the way, it it fiddly to replace the token with the miniature and the monasteries don’t have unique sculpts IIRC.
Respectfully disagree. I think the buildings are great. Not needed at all, but just flavour. The new boards? What don´t you like about them? @@Feldingor
I think they take up too much space. I like the slickness and simplicity of the boards in the original edition. The building miniatures are hard to tell apart from across the table, especially the city buildings. The acrilic pieces are much more readable IMHO
This game is so gorgeous with the new components and player boards. And many of the included modules are pretty interesting. The Donkey Song one is quite weird, but I find it a fun addition to include from time to time. Nice playthrough Paul (& friends 😉)
Fantastic play through. This is one of my favourite games. Have played it at 2, 3 and 4 and always such a good experience even with base game. Just started exploring all the other content. Such an attractive game. Goes well with a glass of Rioja 😊

Cannot believe you forgot the points for completing the craft buildings. You get 1 to 6 point based on the round you are. Such a big failure again that they missed printing it on the board.
Did we really forget that all the way through? I know that rule but during a live stream some rules get missed when I’m just playing for fun. But I do know the rule, so my bad if I missed it
I just checked a bit of the video, and at 1:10:46, Rob completes a craft building in round 3 and he gets 3 points. So we did remember the rule. Maybe it got missed at some point.
@@GamingRulesVideos yes at about 56:00-ish round 2 they did get 2 points for the tile, one point for unlocking the next craft building, but they didn't get 2 points for completing the craft building in round 2 :-).

I believe the game is EXACTLY the same as the old version except for the production quality / artwork, etc.
