Hey y’all just wanted to make you aware of a rules flub we had. During the transportation phase in turn order we are each supposed to do our free deliveries first and only those. Once everyone has done that, again in turn order we can make our purchased deliveries. Here we were doing any and all deliveries at one time. Sorry bout that!
Hard to determine what end impact that had on scoring/gameplay...so you were supposed to do it in sequential order based on turn, did that mean the turn order provided some unwarranted bonuses each time?
La Granja is a fabulous game; so glad to see it back in a brand new form! The dice drafting is so good and the inspiration for Fleet: The Dice Game!

Great playthrough! You changed my mind on backing!! Getting mega bits! Someday will have a big table to play it in hehe. I was debating it since beginning, then removed pledge and then watched video! Where is the Dinosaur World playthrough, as I see it on the shelf 😊?

I recently bought a new copy of the original version of La Granja, about a week before I found out about the Deluxe Master Set. I like the upgraded pieces, the artwork (although the player boards and main board seem a little busy compared to the og version), and of course the extra modules add some interesting gameplay. I'd like to support the new Kickstarter, but, having just bought the og version and having other rad games still in their shrinkwrap 😬, and a very empty wallet, I just can't justify the expense of the fancy new version 😞

Due to the isolation from covid I just wanted to be at that table with you guys, playing this amazing game, having a laugh, quoting funny references etc. Maybe one day! 😄 In the meantime, did you say you guys sometimes stream play throughs on twitch?

Good run-through for the most part. Curious if you HAVE to do the area control element of the market? I really don't like the area control "kicking someone out" aspect here, especially in a 2 player game...will it wreck the game balance and mechanics not to punt opponents based on area control?
You could give it a go? We feel you for the most part on the area control stuff but it didn't bother us here. If you don't punt anyone out the market could in theory fill up meaning no one could fulfill market barrows which would seem to be problematic but give it a go some time and let us know if it works!
Love this game, usually get around 80 in 2 player. Also Nick missed 3-4 points that he was owed throughout the game so it was possibly a tie.

Just curious how many cameras do you utilize during your playthroughs? Do you have external support or is it a click record and go for it type deal?
We use 5 cameras for our play throughs: 1 on Mike, 1 on Nick, 1 on both of us, 1 down camera, and 1 hand camera. What Do you mean exactly by external support?

Gotcha, no we don't have any one checking up on the cameras. We don't have the money to hire someone to run things like that, though we wish we did. We have had several times where we forgot to hit record on one of the cameras, or on the sound etc, and we had to toss the whole play through. We have to do everything ourselves which definitely makes it much more difficult. Also, 3 of our cameras can only record for 30 minutes at a time, so we have to cut constantly, which is a pain. We try and be really really diligent about checking everything but stuff happens.

In the original game at least during the first round, roof tiles are drafted in reverse turn order. Not sure if it’s changed in this new version though.

With our relationship with Board and Dice and along with the agreement we made to do coverage on the game we’ll be receiving a copy of the finished product but we’re gonna stick to the regular size. Saw that you’re gonna go full La Granda big game and think that’s awesome!! Hope you enjoy!

Never played this game before but is there a reason why there is Victory Point chits instead of a VP track?
Now we’re no publisher so we have no idea but one guess I might have is that Victory Points are a resource that can be spent on occasion so maybe it’s easier to have a physical chit you can turn in for these purposes? Like I said just a guess
The Donkey Song module goes next to the siesta track, so design wise, a VP track would not work very well. Also, it allows you to hide your VP from other players, if you were so inclined.
Why did you spend money on upgrade last round when you had a roof tile? 🤦♀️

We sent 'em a prototype :) A very nicely made prototype, but still a prototype.
Indeed as Rainer said they sent us a prototype so we could show off the game for you. The prototype is really nice so it’s pretty dang close to what you’re gonna see if you purchase the game for yourself. It’s beautiful!
Is this the "extra big set" or the normal set? Im looking at the KS now and there is the large size set and normal set.
