This is probably one of the hardest descents as well as being one of the hardest climbs. I guess there’s a reason someone I rode with said ‘no that’s crazy road not for cyclists’
My mum's old car was a vauxhall meriva 1.7 cdti and it went up with no issues also my dad's old car had an audi a6 avant c6 with the 2.7 tdi and it went up like nothing was there
60-62 mph Hwy #10 NW of Toronto, Ontario south from Hwy #9 past Devil's Pulpit golf course (Niagara Escarpment). 6-lane arrow straight highway so quite safe but it all seems weird & abby-normal after 53mph & you stop reading the speedo (hence the 60-62 mph) and death-grip the bars against any bumps or stones and go very focused.
slick tyres, pump hard (but make sure they can't roll off, shit I had a new rear tyre roll off rounding a curve down hill at 43 mph, I barely held it upright on the rim). Push your bum back as far as you comfortably can. Lower your centre of gravity. Make sure your FRONT brake can stop you on a dime, and off you go.

I think your commentary at the top expresses my thoughts perfectly.

Are you using GPS for speed measurement or a wheel magnet.
So...anyone else try to close the map overlay thinking it was an ad?
How can i reach that speed on a MTB?
Rode up it and got to the bend at the top and just stopped!! Just couldn't pedal no more! Lucky the cars were going slow.
It is considered one of the hardest climbs in Surrey I believe. And most dangerous
Ye, me too. But I cheated behind a truck downhill.

Overuse of the front break can send you over the bars.
i go 47 mph on a mtb
