I accidentally cycled up it at the weakened (my sat nav routed me that way, only my route back home!). Didn’t realise its reputation until I got home and looked it up, so I feel less bad about stopping for a rest after the hardest part. I felt I needed another gear beyond my 34/28 ratio 😅

Oh no! There are few things worse than an accidental climb on your way home!
It's an absolute monster so no harm in taking a break on the way up
@@AdamRussellCycling fair play for doing it in 1. Knowing the hill now, I can see why you wanted to nail it in one go.
Regularly do the 'Behemoth' on my Kent loops. Usually with 39x25 or 26, once on my crit Bora's with 39x23, .. Now that hurt!!! 😂
Oof! That must have been tough!
amazing
Thank you!

I'm glad to have you along for the ride 😃
decent climb that, a favourite of mine. when its warmer i'll be going back.
Yeah there's so much choice of routes over the North Downs, but this is definitely one of the most challenging
Way to go you absolute loon. Looks like a bonkers ride but helluva good job making it to the top
Thanks! The feeling when you make it to the top makes the suffering worth it!
Well done, great effort on the climb!
Thanks! It's an absolute monster but keen to give it another go to beat my time when it's dry and warm 😆
@@AdamRussellCycling Give us a shout if you do, might join you on that ride and help you with the filming aspect... should I be able to keep up!
