Chastain is an aggressive driver that no one cuts any slack. Denny has said this many times. Isnt aggression part of being a Race car driver? Last laps on most races no matter what motor sport are usually very aggressive and the most exciting laps to watch. Chastain seems to be in last lap mode from lap 1 and I frankly admire him for it. In any other sport the athlete who gives 110% from start to finish regardless of what everyone else is doing should be respected and admired IMO.

I don't think I've ever seen it so bad that every race there's a driver that can't go by at least 2 ppl with out getting retaliated against for something they've done in the past or earlier that race and Ross has jumped past Kyle Busch for the most confronted driver on the track with ease

@@cbrunnem6102 Reaching my ass. When you put a driver in a position where they either have to lift or wreck themself ... that isn't really a decision. Hopefully, the other drivers put Melonhead in his place. Good to see Denny actually come out and say that Melonhead is really doing nothing other than hurting himself. He should definitely have more than 2 wins based on where he is running every week.
At the same time -- Melonhead, and every Stroker Ace want-to-be out there needs to freaking race -- and quit putting drivers in a position where they either lift or wreck. Melonhead is lucky as hell that NASCAR is filled with Generation Z drivers who would rather be friends than win. If this were in the 90's ... Melonhead vs Ironhead would have been decided early last season ... and Ross would be on his way to double digit wins. Now -- he is going to get treated the exact same way he has treated the rest of these guys. Door slammed every week ... (we already know Melonhead is too big of a Melonball to lift).
I will leave with this -- the whole deal from last week "thats between Noah and I" -- whatever, Melonhead. Every one in America watched you wait until your guy was around so he could stop Noah from beating your Melonshaped dome.... Everyone in America knows you have ZERO respect for any other drivers out there. Own it Melonhead ... just own it.
Then -- to hear that Chevy is trying to influence this behind the scenes where people get off Melonheads back? Complete trash. Just as Rick Hendrick said .... our drivers are not required to worry about what Chevy thinks about Melonhead getting wrecked ... he keeps wrecking us -- our guys will do what they need to do to take care of business (paraphrased of course).
I would actually have more respect for the situation if these guys were trying to draw excitement for the sport. But -- that is definitely not what is happening here. Melonhead thinks this is going to help his future ... the funny thing is, and it is not even hard to say, Melonhead can drive. But just as Denny said ... Melonhead is so far stuck up in his own press clippings -- that he seems to have forgotten that he still has the same 2 wins he ended last season with.
Maybe it is time for Melonhead to re-evaluate. Learning from ones mistakes is what made drivers like Bobby Allison, Tim Richmond, Davey Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, etc great. Melonhead could be one of those dudes --- but I am not holding my breath .... yet.

It has nothing to do with winning races. Its all in the attitude of the person that people follow. Perfect example is Kyle busch when he was winning everything and couldn't understand why nobody liked him. Its all because of the attitude the person has. whether you don't like it or not Ross chastain has that persona that Dale sr had, Its all in the interviews after the race how a driver expresses himself, . Ross is not going anywhere and with nascar and the commentators and every youtube video out there blaming every incident on Chastain is literally making him an intimidator. Bring it on Nascar is a failing industry anyway. Stir the pot!

Rick Hendrick’s interview where he talked about Dale Sr talking about one of his drivers (I’m assuming Geoff Bodine) having all the talent, but he needs to learn to race, was spot on. Ross has the talent, and he’s got a good team, but he’s gotta learn to race. Yeah Dale Sr roughed people up, but he had respect in the garage too, and that’s the difference between a Dale Sr caliber driver and a guy like Ross. I don’t know how someone teaches him, maybe it’s getting dumped in a corner, or maybe he needs a mentor, a Kevin Harvick or Brad K to teach him, but he’s gotta learn to race and when to push the envelope and when not to.
