I love your tutorials. I noticed that you don't have much viewership, but please don't stop making these videos, I find them to be the most helpful drawing tutorials on UA-cam.
I'm sure it's pretty much the same concept. You start off kind of light and then when you go back in to add the darker values you press down harder and I guess you can use the eraser to go in to add some more light values
@@alexiarhydian3811 water is tricky. You pretty much have to go in and be loose with your pencil. The lines don't have to be exact to whatever reference you're using. You have a lot of leeway when doing water
Do you have any tips on how to draw/color water with colored pencils? Everything on the internet is either graphite pencil instructions or watercolored pencils, which is the fault of the search engines. Google seems to think that "how to color water with colored pencils" means "how to draw with watercolored pencils."
Nice one. This was the first video I checked and after checking 2 more. You are the wave master and I shall be practicing your philosophy of the watery illusion from now. 😁👍
I find that 5-6B pencils are the best for wide area shading, with 2-4B working better with linear art and cross hatching but I guess it's all dependent on style.
Haven’t tried this yet but i think it’s going to help me out a lot with my art project due tomorrow, I’m drawing a person being dragged underneath the water, all I have to do is draw the tentacle pulling her underneath the water and shade the water, thanks!
how long did it take to do this. Can someone do a video on how to do running water? Im in a drawing contest and im looking at all of these videos but cant find them.(part of my painting is a fountain with running water)
He uses small paper. Faster to draw for demonstration and more detailed. Dont compare the hand, which has a variable size. Use the pen to determin the size of the paper, pens are generally the same size.
then adjust it if the angle/shape looks different . Just keep turning your screen and paper . Also forgot to mention DONT press too hard with the pencil. Hold the pencil the way you feel comfiest , there is no right or wrong way. If you find that abit hard to follow just draw a grid over a pic in a magazine then lightly draw a grid with the same amount of squares and simply draw what ever is in each grid... simple. And heres the good news i DONT want any money :)))
I like your tutorials but this one is a bit misleading as there's no mention of the sort of shapes you're creating...Most of those for instance aren't wave shapes at all. Especially when you go in with the highlights...More mention of that would have been more helpful.
