Really well presented. Learned so much from you in a concise form minus the drama

Thank you for this excellent in-depth report on your haskap project. I am a transplanted Saskatchewanian, trying my hand at raising a few haskaps in Montréal. I purchased bare root plants from a reliable Quebec supplier. They have survived their first winter in zone 5b and have formed neat bushes. No fruit yet, although they did bloom. I have many bird friends and did not net my patch so someone may have pinched the first berries. That’s ok! I am looking forward to some production in year 3. My plants are Boreal Beauties. And the next time I am in PA I look forward to touring your facility

Most Haskap varieties need cross pollination from a different variety of Haskap to produce fruit

Thanks for sharing! I visited the website but I can't find the Haskap 2021 and 2022 reports. Is there any way to see the latest reports? Thanks!

We have not experienced higher attrition with Honey Bee than any other variety either in our own fields in northern Minnesota or with our customers in our mail order nursery. Strange you lost so many.

Thank You! Evie is a Polish Variety "Jolanta". Blue Diamond, Happy Giant, Jewel Blue , Blue Moose are very old TM USA varieties from BerriesUnlimited, AR, USA. They have Russian origin ( L. caerulea venulosa ) but they were released in the US in 2013. Strawberry Sensation, Blue Treasure, Giant's Heart- TM USA BerriesUnlimited varieties. They have Japanese Origin. Wild ancestor is L. caerulea emphyllocalyx. Blue Banana is old variety , it has brix 22-24 it is also a release of BerriesUnlimited. TradeMarked. Release of 2014. It has Russian origin. HoneyBee is a very good variety. Especially it is perfect for Jam/jelly. It is is also very very good for fresh eating for those ones who loves native honeyberry taste.. It is strong enough to grow in zone 7 in Mid west , the US. Honeyberries start developing their fruits in the buds during previous summer. It it is too hot and no water then next crop is miserable naturally. They are all from Misty/ Foggie areas and they need humidity to produce more.Irrigation and shade cloth is very important to increase the crips dramatically and solve the problem. If they are going to give twice more berries then all expenses will be covered.
