HoneyBerries, also known as Haskaps or Blue Honeysuckles are the hottest ticket on the Permaculture Health Tour these days!
Rob Avis interviewed Sam Kreuger at her, and her partner Grant's, Blas Berry Orchard Haskap farm in Alberta near Edmonton.
Sam shared a number of fresh insights and even a few secrets to help other permaculturists grow these delightful and healthy berries. Haskaps are finding a NEW and growing market in North America, and also already selling at outrageous premium prices in Japan!
Haskaps have 3X the flavonoids of blueberries, and that's just to start!

I've had 3 plants for a couple years and haven't had much luck with them in Central Illinois but I'm not giving up! Ty for the video not much info on those on YT.
Are they the same strain? Thats the problem if so
@@Deeceesadventures they are not they just had a hard time getting established I think..I checked the other day actually and they look better than ever so I think they finally are rooted in good now.
@@CornPop309 if you live south of zone 6 usda then they may grow but never make fruit. They need high chill hours. By spring of year three the plant should be a least 4x3x4 and make good berries.
@@Deeceesadventures I'm zone 5b I think I just planted them in a poor spot but my raspberries were doing great over there could be the high ph of my soil..was planting n working so much then didn't use peat moss or anything too lower it when I planted not that it matters a ton with those but still.
