I lost my son in August of this year, and this song just seems to walk me through the short beautiful time my wife and I spent with him. She carried him in the beginning of his life as I carried him to rest in his passing. We need artists like these select few that can truly stir the depths of are imaginations.
Happy birthday, my forever baby. I'll check in next year as always to listen to your song. Sleep now my love. Papa and Mama love you to the moon and back.
Hello again, my darling. Today marks another year of your passing. I can only bare to your song once a year. Your mother and I carry your memory everywhere with us always..close like a whisper in a wind storm. Mama and papa love you to the moon and back baby. Sleep well.....until we meet again.
A reviewer said this was sung by Amber Coffman, but I thought the liner notes said Angel Deradoorian sings it. Both are wonderful and lovely singers, but this performance is exceptionally good, and the singer deserves credit.
When I first met my current boyfriend of two years, he made me a CD with this song on it. I played it over and over again and every time it ended I was sure I was deeper in love with him. I move away on tuesday and we're breaking up because of the distance. I'm pretty much torturing myself by revisiting this memory.
Hi Bex, I run a music blog that is based on connecting people through songs! I want to post this song on my Instagram page and I'd love to quote you! I'd love to share the experience you have with this song and I know people will relate. If this is something that interests you just let me know your Instagram handle so I can give you credit! Cheers :)
LYRICS: Geranium kisser Skin like silk and face like glass Don't confront me with my failures Kiss me with your mouth open For your love, better than wine For your cologne is really fragrant Call on me, call on me, call on me Your hair is like an eagle Your two eyes are like two doves But our bed is like a failure All day up in the valley At the waning of the light To the chamber that conceived me Call on me, call on me, call on me Geranium killer Throat of soil of and mind like stone Please don't defend a silver lining Around the halo of what is already shining When all the planets are aligning For an afternoon that's never ending Call on me, call on me, call on me
Song of the day 07.12.2017/ this is the beginning then, of that never-ending afternoon. Here’s to taking it easy. The silver lines are mixed in with the booming tufts of clouds that care nothing for rain. I guess that’s what true victory must be: you’re too tired to celebrate. There’s no one here to hold me at the finish line...
I heard this in the series Single Father starring David Tennant and Suranne Jones.....another series starring Suranne Jones was Vigil and in that was Anchor by Novo Amor .....who gets to pick these great pieces of music?
would any "real musician"/composer be so kind as to elucidate what is going on with those moments that feel like time signature changes -- or nearly-changes? it screws up my ability to tap along with the beat, but it is also awesome, but I would like to understand it better so that I can actually tap along with the beat... :) (ex: 0:17, 0:41, etc.)
I know what you're talking about but I can't figure out how it's done. They do something similar in the beginning of "Up in Hudson" and I found that I couldn't exactly replicate it when I tried to arrange it.
one of the best melodies and arrangements, and the worst lyrics

How can you listen to this song and still think this band is good? This is straight up EMBARRASSING to listen to. If anyone caught me listening to this I would kill myself.

This is such a genius song, the stringed instrument chords provide amazing tension and release

It’s angel I think, she sang it live

Reminds me a bit of Nico's "These Days". Beautiful.
kenrben i was with "these days" on my head after listening it too.
totally! the expressive string section such an intimate acoustic track
This song is actually dedicated to Nico
@@MB-xh4gf The third line is lifted straight from These Days
This is beautiful!
These Days- Nico
This song makes me cry
LYRICS:
Geranium kisser
Skin like silk and face like glass
Don't confront me with my failures
Kiss me with your mouth open
For your love, better than wine
For your cologne is really fragrant
Call on me, call on me, call on me
Your hair is like an eagle
Your two eyes are like two doves
But our bed is like a failure
All day up in the valley
At the waning of the light
To the chamber that conceived me
Call on me, call on me, call on me
Geranium killer
Throat of soil of and mind like stone
Please don't defend a silver lining
Around the halo of what is already shining
When all the planets are aligning
For an afternoon that's never ending
Call on me, call on me, call on me
Una canción triste, pero con una atmosfera y letras de amor/romance.
I'm crying right now.
it kills me to listen to this now

First three lines are paraphrasing of bob dylan lyrics from Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
Great music
Please don't defend the silver lining around the halo of what is already shining
Beautiful
I heard this song on Songza this morning, beautiful song :)

it sounds quite influenced by "these days" (jackson browne)
+Alianger Wow, very true.

+Alianger They directly reference "These Days" with the line "don't confront me with my failures."

probably 5/4 to 4/4, it's more clear if you follow the bass note
It may have been done by editing in ProTools (it sounds that way to me)
They are adding extra beats. Yes it makes it extremely hard to track the meter. David Longstreth strikes again.
@@jmarty1000 no, it wasn't

How much of a loser do you have to be to allow a few random comments affect your perception of men as a whole?
slightly less of one than to be angered by the idea
