hey guys, I think you should go to Şile that is in Black sea side of Asia part. ıt s really beatiful, it s place that is natural, because it s a small village. it takes almost 1 hour to go by car, there is bus which goes there, but it takes much more time, but I think it s worth it

Istanbul which has forests,black sea and the beachs has techno clups. cool venues.
I have been to many countries... sot a many as you guys... but still. And of all those countries, no question... Turnkey is my absolute favorite. I've probably spent 6 months in total in Istanbul and also have been to many other places in Turkey. I felt my "old soul" come out in Turkey. A fascinating place so full of culture, history, and amazing charm. If I made a list of my favorite place, the list would be as long as my arm. If I were to mention a couple of places not on the "tourist -must-see" list... one is St. George, the "Vatican" of the Greek Orthodox church and The Chora Museum (Church). Food? Kumpir along the Bosporus in Ortaköy... And Asitane Restaurant because of it's superb Ottoman Cuisine. Love Turkey, love the people!!

Istanbul looks to be more sophisticated and developed than I had imagined.
It is indeed... For the public transportation I can guarantee you, better than Paris, New York, and many other cities in western.. you can also enjoy the shapes of old europe buildings with modern skyscrapper and traditional asian part houses of Turkey.
Istanbul is an ultra ancient and ultra modern city at the same time. It’s such a cool city to visit.

I was in Turkey a month ago and to be honest you guys made me excited to go there such a beautiful country and I highly recommend you to go to the north side of Turkey a city called Trabzon if you never been there it's very beautiful. Have fun in your travels!

This is the first time I saw foreigners liked Ayran! Ayran is my favorite drink in the world but whenever I made my foreign friends try, they hate it hahah
The reason why tourists dont like is I believe its a salty drink and there are few salty drinks in foreign cultures if any.
Well, I like ayran too :) i have been to Turkey for my Erasmus and I drank a lot of ayran. It was funny, when i was in restaurant with my turkish friends and i was only one, who drank ayran :D (and actually it happened regulary). Btw I am from middle of Europe (Czech Republic)

Turkish food is SO delicious because of the OLD-SCHOOL preparation methods including the cooking with charcoal, which would be almost impossible to find in Canada or USA...
the chicken is amazing even in the malls they use wood!

It has been almost 10 years since I left Istanbul. I've traveled 35 states in the USA and Istanbul is hands down the best city in the world BY FAR!

The way you described Kadıköy is wonderful!! I live near Kadıköy and it's like the only place I hang out every day or two w/ my friends without getting bored. It has some kind of a special friendly atmosphere. If you ask them, any locals will tell you this ^^
Any day you take a ferry ride from Kadikoy to Istanbul is a perfect day.
OMG Karikoy! I love that little street and the coffee looked so good! The little shops with places to sit outside and the trees over the top. The delicious coffee...that baklava! OH. MY..ahhhhh

"Karıköy" is meaningful nickname for "Karaköy" actually because of some reason :D

You're are like real locals. I'm living Istanbul since I was born and things you do are exactly the same when we meet our friends. We usually drink coffee in Karakoy and drink beer in kadikoy 😍 if you come later you should visit prince island that you can take ferry to go there. It takes about one hour but it's definitely worth it🙃

* 4:20 the name of the neighborhood is Karaköy
* 8:04 ayran is not sour milk, it is a mix of water, salt and yoghurt.

i'd love to show you around the next time you're in kadikoy! or make sure you guys visit "moda" the next time you're there, it's only a short walk from kadikoy with amazing coffee shops and pubs (and the sea is only a few steps away!) it's my absolute favorite place in istanbul, makes me proud to be a local
Welcome home, my friends! :) By the way if you didint see them before, you should, no actually you must see Istanbul Archaeological Museum and Turkish And Islamic Arts Museum for sure. I think you'll love whats inside. Little tip: Turkish And Islamic Arts Museum's building is actually Ibrahim Pasha's palace. He was grand vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent. So its literally history, arts and history of arts within history whic i think you love.

I was in kadikoy last spring, the ferry is purely amazing. Nice and chill place, you should try cay tarlasi in moda, kadikoy. Amazing breakfast great hospitality

You guys could've done a bosphorus tour with a rented boat and eat fresh fish then go to anadolu kavağı ( under the 3th bridge) and swim its all empty and beautiful and there s even a historic castle and a perfect picnic/waffle place.

You should visit all the way the coast of boshporus. From “besiktas” to “tarabya”. Name of the places are: “Ortakoy”, “Arnavutkoy, “Bebek”, “Rumeli Hisari”, “Yenikoy” and “Tarabya”
You must go south of Turkey. Amazin places like Kas, Kalkan, Kaputas beach, Fethiye oludeniz, Marmaris, Bodrum etc.
I missed Istanbul so bad, did not see many years after i studied university.
Dont go anywhere stay in İstanbul we love you guys
