    Nothing better than finesse fishing, up here in Central QLD some of us fish 4lb line and leader for mangrove jacks and other species. It's a real challenge.

    Awesome Vid Alan. Its cool to see how the new rods include tech to make them lighter and still strong. Some of my dads older rods might as well be sticks, compared to these new ones.

    Hi, I have a BS 772M which is given for PE 0.6-1 and 6-26gr.
    I wonder what's the point of using Fuji micro rings on the tip because they force you to leave the final braid knot outside the tip or stay under a 15lbs. Really a big limitation for a rod of this level.

  • @jordythebassist
    @jordythebassist 2 роки тому +2

    How does it balance Alan? I would imagine you'd want a very lightweight 1000 reel of it may end up wanting to keep raising the rod tip in your hand.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  2 роки тому +1

      1000% it was a tad unbalanced with the Siruis 2500 I was using, I have since tested it with a Vanford 2500 and Luvias 2000S and it balances really nicely. So nice tangling with fish of that size with a rod that light.

    Where you are fishing the bottom is thick weed, do you still bounce the jig off the bottom or do you try and keep it out of the weed?

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  2 роки тому

      The jig heads are very light and HWS so they dont snag up in the weeds to often, i try and work it at a pace that gets it just down to the weed level.
