    I don't think you need the extra 12V positive feed that you fitted here, it is already linked on the power
    connecter block. ISO standard input.

    I had to struggle with mine, whatever I did, the radio didn't want to come out. I ended up slightly harming the edge of the dash with my prying tools.. No idea why this was such an issue with my Panda. (yes I've changed dozens of car radio's before..)

    Great video and very helpful. I am trying to fit a Pioneer stereo in to my Fiat 500 and the issue I am having is that when I turn on the ignition it does not turn on at all. I think the bit I might be missing is running power from the fuse. It's a 2009 Fiat 500, do you know if this is similar to the Panda?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  6 років тому +2

      The smaller plugs are for things like steering wheels controls,display and aux inputs to the original radio,they are not needed on an aftermarket radio.

    • @ecoonce23
      @ecoonce23 6 років тому

      Super, Thanks :-) I don't have steering control but I do have the factory base and extra tweeters, would one of them possibly be for that ? Thanks a bunch.

      None of the coloured ones work the speakers. You have the two large connectors that cover both sound and power.

    • @PJsprojects

      It’s a mini blade fuse spur and can be purchased from most cars shops,EBay,Amazon or even Halfords.

    Hi there, thanks for making this video, I have a few questions because I plan on installing an iPad mini into that gap. I'm planning on installing a single din media player (aux, and usb, and Bluetooth) in to the gap and then putting the iPad over it sealing the gap. I'm a bit worried about what inputs I need on the head unit and what adaptors to buy for it to work, do you have any suggestions?

    • @LeoSpacey
      @LeoSpacey 6 років тому

      The iPad mini completely covers the hole without a fascia plate so the single din player would be floating around behind it, I'll probably use foam or something to keep it in place.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  6 років тому

      Well if the head unit your installing has a usb 2.0 or 3.0 input your Ipad charging cable is all you will need for directly sending music from the Ipad to the headunit,or you could use Bluetooth from Ipad to headunit but this can disconnect from time to time so it's best to use the cable.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  6 років тому +2

      Not included with any radio but can be bought from most car shops or places like Ebay/Amazon - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pack-Of-2-Add-A-Circuit-Mini-Blade-Spade-Fuse-Holders-15-Amp-Rating-Easy-Spur/111149841394?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3De9c37840c75e4b57b9f2c8d79a0b7f55%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D142796087576%26itm%3D111149841394&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ad7cf34b7-5cef-11e8-b0e1-74dbd1809bb9%7Cparentrq%3A829af03b1630aad34af7e26efff8d326%7Ciid%3A1

    Hi
    Why is the fuse adapter needed? Is this to retain stored channels etc., or will the radio not work without the fuse adapter?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  6 років тому

      The fuse spur is used to save splicing in to the original wires and so no need for soldering.
