My husband has finally let up on me a bit…I have been carnivore (ish @ times) with my husband constantly offering carbs, sweets etc and when he would walk in with carnivore you tube vids and would shake his head and say idiots…. Now though he buys me the best tomahawk steaks….my doc saw my labs and saw that I had successfully eliminated blood pressure meds as well as stopped CRESTOR. Liver and kidneys are well. Arthritis greatly diminished! Beginning home exercises. So thankful!!!

I’m having trouble with my daughter who’s a vegan. She gets downright angry and keeps on about not being there for me when I have my next heart attack ! When I had my first one I’d been juicing and after it eating mostly vegetable and fruit yet still had the attack. Yes it does get a little monotonous but it also saves so much time shopping and cooking and cleaning I’ve taken up painting and help at the local animal shelter and mow my own and my daughters lawns and clean her house . I feel good! I’m 80 this year. Thanks Kelly I love you for showing us it’s possible .

I've watched this interview 3 times back to back!! So much fun to listen to Kelly, she brings me hope, like Dr. Avaidia says. I started at 205lbs, on 1/10/24 and am giving this time. I'm now just eating beef patties and eggs. I want to see weight loss so bad cause I want to feel good too! Time will tell. I won't weigh cause I feel the ups and downs and don't want to be discouraged by a number. Oh and I'm 52 and going through menopause, so there are so many factors in balancing out my body. I take iodine drops in water 6/day and salt my food, desk job and caretake for my 89 year old Daddy. He's got prostate cancer and dementia so I have a big reason to stay on this path to wellness.

I felt desperate, not bc of my health but bc my athletic, fit husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease nearly 5 years ago. Also that I’m the only healthy person in my family (eldest brother died of ALS; sister with MS and 3 other autoimmune diseases; other brother with advanced Crohn’s; father with mental health disorder died of massive heart attack at age 55). I want to stay healthy. This way of eating gives me hope for the first time in years. Today I turn 70… Carnivore x 7 1/2 weeks. Not really overweight, but have lost 5 lbs. and won’t mind losing maybe another 5 or 10. Thank you for the inspiration.

Great interview. My daughter never had sugar until she went to school. Then just occasionally without my approval :) We weren't carnivore at all but she didn't have any junk food-all whole foods and organic. I saw her go to birthday parties as child, take a couple of bites of a piece of cake and that was enough. Now I'm another story-huge sugar addiction that took years to figure out and deal with. You are giving such a gift to your children by raising them this way.

I needed this. I mostly fell off of Keto last year. I am miserable. Tired all of the time but I have a hard time sleeping. My shoulders hurt ALL of the time. I am not overweight anymore only because I don't eat much. But I do eat the sweets. I know what to do to feel better but I just can't seem to get started. Playing with the devil. I am 66 years old. So this video will help me! Thank you both!

I hear you! For me, sweets are unbelievably addictive...and that means carbs in general. On Atkins, I could manage the induction level of 20g off the allowed carb list, but when advancing to higher carb levels I would quickly go from 1/2 orange to the bottom of a bag of cookies!! Lots of "lessons" later, I accepted that carbs are poison for me and abstinence is the key to serenity. Knowing now, after many years, that I CAN eat a scoop of ice cream IF I am willing to face down the cravings and thoughts for the next 24-48 hours, mostly I choose to abstain again by saying "no momentary taste or texture is worth 2 days of vigilence". Maybe write out a complete list of all the symptoms and sufferings you now endure and ask is this one bite worth all that? Make a plan with an abundance of your fav low carb foods, set an abstinence goal of 1 day (at a time) and find a support buddy. You can do this! God bless ❤️🙏❤️

@@cincin4515 I understand. Sugar/carbs are highly addictive to some people (like me). You haven't conquered it YET, but you WILL!! Abstinence is the key, so you must clean up your environment and surround yourself with lots of zero and very low carb foods. But also deal with your emotions, especially anxiety. You might look into prayer/meditation, affirmations, Wim Hoff deep breathing, etc. And certainly get some social support. God bless ❤️🙏❤️

My kids tried soda for the first time when they were about 9 yrs old and they just didn’t like it so they just never asked for it. Kelly’s videos have helped me so much 💚 What a special person! I’ve had a funny thing happen. I have to eat liver on my Paleomedicina protocol. I shove it down, hide it in soup and swallow without chewing… basically suffer through it. I tried Carnivore Quest’s method of cooking it. I have actually craved it this past week😹 I know now that I was overcooking it before!! My blood labs show that I can use the nutrition in liver so I’m relieved it’s finally not a fight to eat it. I do think you’re right about listening to your body to know if you need organ meats and other things. I know my signals are a bit warped now! I hope they get refined with time🙏🏽

In fact, losing sight of that fact, forgetting that I used to have pain from constant inflammation and suffered from infections that fed on the overabundance of glucose I used to maintain in my body - forgetting all of that is the only thing that caused me to lapse and fall back into old ways. It only had to happen ONCE to firmly remind me that I never want to feel as bad as I used to, ever again!

Love all of this, so encouraging! I grew up allergic to wheat and was told that my children would inherit that allergy if I gave them wheat. As a result, we ate mostly lots of veggies, meat and gluten-free grains. At a young age they liked salads. I have have had a number of health problems so we tried numerous ways of eating. Now I believe that Carnivore is what I need. They are fairly adaptable and mostly enjoying meat. What I have noticed is that although kids/people try different things in their life, they usually go back to the food they grow up with. So good news for carnivore kids!! My kids will probably decide they feel better on mostly meat, with some veggies for fun. I hope that I don't continue to struggle with meat, but I am as determined as Kelly to get healthy and stay healthy! If God made my digestion to eat meat...I will eat meat!!! (Fruit and veggies will be treats later)

I love ketogenic woman's chaffle recipe ( eggs, crushed pork rinds, butter and a dash of salt... Sometimes I add other seasonings also for different flavors)... I'm currently eating a bacon and egg sand with chaffle bun .. SO GOOD!! 😋 🧇 🥓🥓🥓 🥚

I remember as a kid, hating vegetables but loving burgers. I also loved sweets, thus developed a sugar addiction.
Now, thanks to Kelly (and Dr Atkins), I just love my meat, especially burger patties.

Kelly is one of my favorite carnivores! She's so funny and positive! I look forward to her posts on UA-cam! That's interesting that liver gave her a histamine reaction. I'm currently taking beef kidney supplements for DAO. Usually fermented things like pickles give histamine. I'm ketovore but eat more meat than vegetables. I just eat them occasionally but I'm realizing that certain things will trigger histamine. Tomatoes are one of them for me.

I have lost 80 lbs but I do eat some veggies and love Atkins chocolate bars sometimes, and I drink some Diet Coke. I did too have boles and didn't realize it was carb related but now they are gone. I take lots of vitamins. September 2022 I started my journey of no sugar low carbs. But I do eat veggies some. My blood work and off blood pressure meds.

LOL, Kelly…. My husband is wonderful Tennessee farmers’ son, from a long line of farmers, and who’s brother still farms, etc. He loves to garden on a large scale himself, and he and I just had a theological discussion a couple Sundays ago on whether or not the plants also suffered changes due to the Fall. 😂 I’m convinced they fell too, that’s why man had to eat his food by the sweat of his brow rather than just pick it freely. 😅 (That’s my theology take on the issue anyway.)
He is so supportive of my diet change but is still struggling with the idea that plants can possibly be bad for me. My digestive system says they are awful for me, so, I’m sorry Jesus, but for me, it’s no veggies in any quantity and absolutely NO leafy greens, ever!

When my husband was in the military, we were stationed at a small base where people were having a lot of GI issues and the Dr. regularly prescribed going gluten-free. The problem was that it was all they said, never saying how. I was having those GI issues too, but already was gluten-free, making all the homemade cookies, breads, granola, pasta and all gluten-free. If someone had said that Carnivore was gluten-free, I would have looked into it (not a fan of meat,) but love how easy carnivore is and saved myself all the work! It is super easy to be well fed and gluten-free on carnivore and even keto. I don't understand not prescribing Keto/carnivore for military, most military get great meat, love meat!

I started looking in to this when I heard a talk by Dr Elizabeth bright, she talked about fat healing the gut. When I turned 48 something changed and I got allergy tested and found out I have an actual allergy to salmon, lamb, and turkey. I had been avoiding those things already and I wasn’t digesting chicken, pork or beef well. So I found myself going down the vegetarian path and not feeling great. My thought was this sucks. When I heard dr Elizabeth talk about healing with fat …. I thought omg!! So I have been eating fish, butter, fats, broth, seasonings. I found I can eat the fat of ruminant animals but so far the solid meats are a little much, so I make fatty broth and I feel great!! The first thing I noticed was my cravings have stopped. My experiments continue, thanks for the info and who knew this was even a thing?!❤

My blood pressure is incredibly low, when I meditate I am able to get my heart rate to 43 bpm, I have lost 12 pounds, and yes, my total cholesterol has gone up. I feel amazing, awaiting the results of my CAC scan score. Will continue this way of life regardless of what the world tells me.

I am new to this lifestyle. I have been about 85% carnivore. Doing this for two weeks, already down 15lbs. Weight loss has never been this easy for me EVER! I am diabetic, have heart disease with stents, (told I am not a surgery candidate), high BP, thyroid disease. I want to do the best i can for my health. I had a child late in life and i need to stick around. I am 52 years old. I am counting on the evidence presented in all of the videos, books, and studies. I feel better, except i am having some bathroom issues. I love Dr Ovadia. I watch all his videos or videos he is in everyday. I had a Afib thing happen after the second dose of Covid19 vaccine. I have never had another Afib episode and August will be 3 years, but I'm told I have to be on a bloodthinner the rest of my life. I refuse to believe that garbage. You give me hope Dr Ovadia. Kelly you are a hoot and a holler. I am from Alabama so i totally understand you. Thank ya'll!

I hope you don't mind a personal question asking what you meant by bathroom issues. Do you mean having difficulty going, or going too much? There are reasons why either one of those GI issues could be an issue, bed bugs can be fixable. With difficulty going, that is increase in your fat and water & magnesium can make a difference. If you are going too much, and you were taking magnesium you can decrease it; and or perhaps considered decreasing the amount of fat if you were eating too much. Your body can only process so much fat at one time. But most people tend to do the other extreme of eating two little fat and that's one of the main reasons it can be extremely difficult to go. Trying to be delicate here but also honest as well. Hope it helps! RN Jet
