I started about a month ago, hubby thinks it's another gimmick.. but I will show him.. I started feeling good a week into to. Thank you for doing this for all of us.
I’m having trouble with my daughter who’s a vegan. She gets downright angry and keeps on about not being there for me when I have my next heart attack ! When I had my first one I’d been juicing and after it eating mostly vegetable and fruit yet still had the attack. Yes it does get a little monotonous but it also saves so much time shopping and cooking and cleaning I’ve taken up painting and help at the local animal shelter and mow my own and my daughters lawns and clean her house . I feel good! I’m 80 this year. Thanks Kelly I love you for showing us it’s possible .
I've watched this interview 3 times back to back!! So much fun to listen to Kelly, she brings me hope, like Dr. Avaidia says. I started at 205lbs, on 1/10/24 and am giving this time. I'm now just eating beef patties and eggs. I want to see weight loss so bad cause I want to feel good too! Time will tell. I won't weigh cause I feel the ups and downs and don't want to be discouraged by a number. Oh and I'm 52 and going through menopause, so there are so many factors in balancing out my body. I take iodine drops in water 6/day and salt my food, desk job and caretake for my 89 year old Daddy. He's got prostate cancer and dementia so I have a big reason to stay on this path to wellness.
I agree, her video with Dr Berry, was the deciding factor for me going full Carnivore, this is my new favorite video that I wish I could get my 3 younger sisters and others I care about to watch!!!
65 years old , started eliminated sugars and highly processed carbs, grains in Nov, 2022, Carnivore Feb, 2023 down 98 lbs as of today, A1C 5.7 in March, 2019 to 5.1 March, 2023, have lost 40 more lbs since last blood work
With low carb , your right on the verge of ketosis .This is better than eating high carb , but in ketosis the omission of those last few carbs is worth it 10 times over.
I felt desperate, not bc of my health but bc my athletic, fit husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease nearly 5 years ago. Also that I’m the only healthy person in my family (eldest brother died of ALS; sister with MS and 3 other autoimmune diseases; other brother with advanced Crohn’s; father with mental health disorder died of massive heart attack at age 55). I want to stay healthy. This way of eating gives me hope for the first time in years. Today I turn 70… Carnivore x 7 1/2 weeks. Not really overweight, but have lost 5 lbs. and won’t mind losing maybe another 5 or 10. Thank you for the inspiration.

Great interview. My daughter never had sugar until she went to school. Then just occasionally without my approval :) We weren't carnivore at all but she didn't have any junk food-all whole foods and organic. I saw her go to birthday parties as child, take a couple of bites of a piece of cake and that was enough. Now I'm another story-huge sugar addiction that took years to figure out and deal with. You are giving such a gift to your children by raising them this way.

I needed this. I mostly fell off of Keto last year. I am miserable. Tired all of the time but I have a hard time sleeping. My shoulders hurt ALL of the time. I am not overweight anymore only because I don't eat much. But I do eat the sweets. I know what to do to feel better but I just can't seem to get started. Playing with the devil. I am 66 years old. So this video will help me! Thank you both!
I hear you! For me, sweets are unbelievably addictive...and that means carbs in general. On Atkins, I could manage the induction level of 20g off the allowed carb list, but when advancing to higher carb levels I would quickly go from 1/2 orange to the bottom of a bag of cookies!! Lots of "lessons" later, I accepted that carbs are poison for me and abstinence is the key to serenity. Knowing now, after many years, that I CAN eat a scoop of ice cream IF I am willing to face down the cravings and thoughts for the next 24-48 hours, mostly I choose to abstain again by saying "no momentary taste or texture is worth 2 days of vigilence". Maybe write out a complete list of all the symptoms and sufferings you now endure and ask is this one bite worth all that? Make a plan with an abundance of your fav low carb foods, set an abstinence goal of 1 day (at a time) and find a support buddy. You can do this! God bless ❤️🙏❤️
I feel for you. I'm the same in my 60's had lost weight years ago on keto but quit smoking 2 yrs ago and turned into an absolute sugar pig. I just can't seem to stop gorging.
@@cincin4515 I understand. Sugar/carbs are highly addictive to some people (like me). You haven't conquered it YET, but you WILL!! Thanks for having Kelly on! She such a leader and queen of the Carnivore community! I'm proud to be a member of her tribe. Her coaching groups are outstanding!
Kelly is such a great story teller; probably because she's a teacher 🥰. I just found her a few weeks ago and she has convinced me that it's worth giving this carnivore lifestyle a try. I'm on day 1🙏. Will continue to binge watch all her interviews just for entertainment 😂.
Have seen Kelly’s vids when I started this journey, but this interview? how darling is SHE? What a powerhouse! Sure reminds me of the 2 years I lived in Nashville many moons ago. Blessings y’all!
This was great thank you!!! I didn’t cut out all sweets from my kids’ lives when they were little, but I can attest to not giving them any soda being super helpful. My kids tried soda for the first time when they were about 9 yrs old and they just didn’t like it so they just never asked for it. To this day, as 15 & 17 year olds, they don’t drink it, guess they never got a taste for it (bonus: they’ve never had a cavity!).
Terrific interview! I'm part of Kelly's MZCL tribe and love hearing her story because it's so close to many of our stories. Hope and healing - a powerful combination!
Several years ago I had a person tell me they had quit sugar….it was worse than stopping drugs….for 2-3 weeks…I did not realize what he was doing…no sugar, no processed foods…
I didnt realize since Kelly talked about it, I had those boils too since I was 5 or 6. Back then my doctor called them staph infections. Up until a couple years ago, since I've been Keto and dropped 35 pounds, I have not had a reoccurace. Never thought about it until this talk.
Love Kelly’s discussion on boredom. One year after starting ketovore, I failed at retirement and went back at work and started my own marine surveying company. What a game changer. I haven’t been this happy and content since my 20s.
This channel has amazing interviews and very informative information.. Kelly is the best ❤ .. it was her interviewing Amber O'Hern that convinced me to transition from keto/banting to CARNIVORE FOR LIFE 🎉 thank you.. Kelly is certainly one of God's vicegerents ❤stay blessed.. from South Africa 🇿🇦
Kelly’s videos have helped me so much 💚 What a special person! I’ve had a funny thing happen. I have to eat liver on my Paleomedicina protocol. I shove it down, hide it in soup and swallow without chewing… basically suffer through it. I tried Carnivore Quest’s method of cooking it. I have actually craved it this past week😹 I know now that I was overcooking it before!! My blood labs show that I can use the nutrition in liver so I’m relieved it’s finally not a fight to eat it. I do think you’re right about listening to your body to know if you need organ meats and other things. I know my signals are a bit warped now! I hope they get refined with time🙏🏽
I had that roller coaster experience and I must agree the laughing and comments I heard walking away was the worst. On my third week of Carnivor and down 16lbs so far thanks for what you do.💪🏾
Love Kelly but loved hearing the story again....now following Dr. Ovadia. What's his take on AFIBers doing Carnivore, is there any hope of reversing AFIB? We are Carnivore right now.
Ive read about couple of people reversing AFIB.It was in the comments of a carnivore you tube.Im sorry I dont remember which one.Ive watched too many. But,there is HOPE !
Extraordinary interview! Thank you for all the good news you’re putting out there about the carnivore plan! I’m only a week in, and it’s already making a difference. Big love and thanks to Kelly Hogan.❤
Yes!! I love that UA-cam on Kelly’s channel with Dr. A as well!! It’s one of the most comprehensive and descriptive I’ve seen. Thank you for that. Also, I couldn’t smell cooking beef with my first pregnancy…50 years ago😜
I’ve been carnivore for 4 months on the 7th and I am not losing weight my doctor told me that the only way I can lose weight is surgery or a shot. He also wants to send me to a cardiologist because my LDL went up over 100 points since January but my HDL went up and triglycerides went down. It’s really frustrating.
I hear that some people initially gain as their bodies heal, but hang in there and the weight loss will come. Maybe try different macros a month ay a time, more/less fat.
Intermittent fasting, limit dairy, & stick to BBB&E ( beef, bacon, butter, & eggs) as closely as possible. The fasting should come naturally. Only eat if hungry, not because it's time to eat. Weight will come off. Your body goes through a healing stage.
I listened to this today and loved it! ❤ Having found Dr Ken Berry, I started ketovore, then carnivore, and after one year have lost 85 pounds of awful fat! I feel so good, more energy, better than at any time in my life, and I’m 67 years young! Thanks to taking the bull by the horns and applying everything I was learning! Did some intermittent fasting along with it. I still need to lose 25-30 more pounds. Started out at 250 pounds, and now weigh 163. I’m fighting high blood pressure and hoping more weight loss will help with this. Is there anything else I can do along these lines to help with the high blood pressure? Just ordered your book, can’t wait to read it! Take Care. You are doing people so much good! Thank you!
I believe food addictions are started from childhood when parents or teachers give food or candy for rewards. I really like how the Montessori school my children attend let the child’s accomplishments be their reward.
"At least I don't have [this symptom]" is what keeps me committed. In fact, losing sight of that fact, forgetting that I used to have pain from constant inflammation and suffered from infections that fed on the overabundance of glucose I used to maintain in my body - forgetting all of that is the only thing that caused me to lapse and fall back into old ways. It only had to happen ONCE to firmly remind me that I never want to feel as bad as I used to, ever again!
Love all of this, so encouraging! I grew up allergic to wheat and was told that my children would inherit that allergy if I gave them wheat. As a result, we ate mostly lots of veggies, meat and gluten-free grains. At a young age they liked salads. I have have had a number of health problems so we tried numerous ways of eating. Now I believe that Carnivore is what I need. They are fairly adaptable and mostly enjoying meat. What I have noticed is that although kids/people try different things in their life, they usually go back to the food they grow up with. So good news for carnivore kids!! My kids will probably decide they feel better on mostly meat, with some veggies for fun. I hope that I don't continue to struggle with meat, but I am as determined as Kelly to get healthy and stay healthy! If God made my digestion to eat meat...I will eat meat!!! (Fruit and veggies will be treats later)
I love ketogenic woman's chaffle recipe ( eggs, crushed pork rinds, butter and a dash of salt... Sometimes I add other seasonings also for different flavors)... I'm currently eating a bacon and egg sand with chaffle bun .. SO GOOD!! 😋 🧇 🥓🥓🥓 🥚
I remember as a kid, hating vegetables but loving burgers. I also loved sweets, thus developed a sugar addiction. Now, thanks to Kelly (and Dr Atkins), I just love my meat, especially burger patties.
Kelly is one of my favorite carnivores! She's so funny and positive! I look forward to her posts on UA-cam! That's interesting that liver gave her a histamine reaction. I'm currently taking beef kidney supplements for DAO. Usually fermented things like pickles give histamine. I'm ketovore but eat more meat than vegetables. I just eat them occasionally but I'm realizing that certain things will trigger histamine. Tomatoes are one of them for me.
I have lost 80 lbs but I do eat some veggies and love Atkins chocolate bars sometimes, and I drink some Diet Coke. I did too have boles and didn't realize it was carb related but now they are gone. I take lots of vitamins. September 2022 I started my journey of no sugar low carbs. But I do eat veggies some. My blood work and off blood pressure meds.
LOL, Kelly…. My husband is wonderful Tennessee farmers’ son, from a long line of farmers, and who’s brother still farms, etc. He loves to garden on a large scale himself, and he and I just had a theological discussion a couple Sundays ago on whether or not the plants also suffered changes due to the Fall. 😂 I’m convinced they fell too, that’s why man had to eat his food by the sweat of his brow rather than just pick it freely. 😅 (That’s my theology take on the issue anyway.) He is so supportive of my diet change but is still struggling with the idea that plants can possibly be bad for me. My digestive system says they are awful for me, so, I’m sorry Jesus, but for me, it’s no veggies in any quantity and absolutely NO leafy greens, ever!
@@IFixHearts I don’t know if this is Dr Ovadia or one of his folks…. But I just wanted to say again to the UA-cam community… I am so grateful to Dr Ovadia and others for speaking up about the science real nutritional needs. You are making it happen for people! Put simply, you ARE saving lives! Thank you!
When my husband was in the military, we were stationed at a small base where people were having a lot of GI issues and the Dr. regularly prescribed going gluten-free. The problem was that it was all they said, never saying how. I was having those GI issues too, but already was gluten-free, making all the homemade cookies, breads, granola, pasta and all gluten-free. If someone had said that Carnivore was gluten-free, I would have looked into it (not a fan of meat,) but love how easy carnivore is and saved myself all the work! It is super easy to be well fed and gluten-free on carnivore and even keto. I don't understand not prescribing Keto/carnivore for military, most military get great meat, love meat!
I started looking in to this when I heard a talk by Dr Elizabeth bright, she talked about fat healing the gut. When I turned 48 something changed and I got allergy tested and found out I have an actual allergy to salmon, lamb, and turkey. I had been avoiding those things already and I wasn’t digesting chicken, pork or beef well. So I found myself going down the vegetarian path and not feeling great. My thought was this sucks. When I heard dr Elizabeth talk about healing with fat …. I thought omg!! So I have been eating fish, butter, fats, broth, seasonings. I found I can eat the fat of ruminant animals but so far the solid meats are a little much, so I make fatty broth and I feel great!! The first thing I noticed was my cravings have stopped. My experiments continue, thanks for the info and who knew this was even a thing?!❤

I just love Kelly so much! She’s like Wonder Woman to me with this woe. I’m more ketovore but I KNOW this is all true because I’ve lost so much weight and feel great! I just wish my family would jump on board with me! 😢
My doctor thinks I am on a path straight to heart attack, stroke, death…. My blood pressure is incredibly low, when I meditate I am able to get my heart rate to 43 bpm, I have lost 12 pounds, and yes, my total cholesterol has gone up. I feel amazing, awaiting the results of my CAC scan score. Will continue this way of life regardless of what the world tells me.
I am new to this lifestyle. I have been about 85% carnivore. Doing this for two weeks, already down 15lbs. Weight loss has never been this easy for me EVER! I am diabetic, have heart disease with stents, (told I am not a surgery candidate), high BP, thyroid disease. I want to do the best i can for my health. I had a child late in life and i need to stick around. I am 52 years old. I am counting on the evidence presented in all of the videos, books, and studies. I feel better, except i am having some bathroom issues. I love Dr Ovadia. I watch all his videos or videos he is in everyday. I had a Afib thing happen after the second dose of Covid19 vaccine. I have never had another Afib episode and August will be 3 years, but I'm told I have to be on a bloodthinner the rest of my life. I refuse to believe that garbage. You give me hope Dr Ovadia. I hope you don't mind a personal question asking what you meant by bathroom issues. Do you mean having difficulty going, or going too much? There are reasons why either one of those GI issues could be an issue, bed bugs can be fixable. With difficulty going, that is increase in your fat and water & magnesium can make a difference. If you are going too much, and you were taking magnesium you can decrease it; and or perhaps considered decreasing the amount of fat if you were eating too much. Your body can only process so much fat at one time. But most people tend to do the other extreme of eating two little fat and that's one of the main reasons it can be extremely difficult to go. Trying to be delicate here but also honest as well. Hope it helps! RN Jet

I love Kelly. She’s the reason I went clean carnivore.
Excellent video! People are tired of being lied to about many things on this planet. Research and you will find the truth! 🙏❤️
Terrific interview! I'm part of Kelly's MZCL tribe and love hearing her story because it's so close to many of our stories. Hope and healing - a powerful combination!
Spot on Dr. - Always enjoy No Carb Kelly! Stepping up my efforts to spread the words - as per Dr. Berry and Dr. Baker.
Great interview! I love Kelly Hogan had watch any video she is in. Dr. Ovadia, I always share your videos.
Great video, Dr Ovadia! Kelly is a wonderful part of an amazing carnivore online community. Her health journey is a powerful testimony to the masses!
I love this podcast. Really good interview and great energy from the guest!
My doctor finally diagnosed my boils as hidradenitis supporitiva.
OMG! I've seen Kelly before on vids, but she just shines here. Such a sweetheart! Pretty, smart, articulate and so motivated.
Excellant video! Food is seen as entertainment and contributes to our addiction! 🤨
Great interview! Ms. Hogan is an inspiration and has a great story!
Love Kelly’s discussion on boredom. One year after starting ketovore, I failed at retirement and went back at work and started my own marine surveying company. What a game changer. I haven’t been this happy and content since my 20s.
Absolutely brilliant video. Very informative and inspiring, this has definitely helped me make a big decision.
Yes Dr. Ovadia I would love to have the paper Kelly's doctor gave her also! Great video!
or get the original Atkins book - very clear list of yes/no foods and he said no means "not one bite".
I hope they get refined with time🙏🏽
Great interview with Kelly and you two do a great job on I fix hearts!
I had that roller coaster experience and I must agree the laughing and comments I heard walking away was the worst. On my third week of Carnivor and down 16lbs so far thanks for what you do.💪🏾
I could listen to Kelly all day! She is intelligent and humorous, always great to hear her.
Thank you ❤❤
You're welcome 😊
Yes!! I love that UA-cam on Kelly’s channel with Dr. A as well!! It’s one of the most comprehensive and descriptive I’ve seen. Thank you for that.
Also, I couldn’t smell cooking beef with my first pregnancy…50 years ago😜
I relate w/Kelly about the ice cream…I go outside or down stairs away from the “husband”…I sure make “my time”( time to get away)😆
Are you eating enough fat?
I think this was one of the best interviews...really like all three of you
Great interview! :)
Joan Ifland does a great way of describing how theses additives, sugar, etc. affect the brain centers. Explains addictions so well!!!
Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words! Congratulations on your current results, keep on going!!
Her doctor is an angel she was so lucky to have him. So many of us have had to fight the medical system to heal ourselves.
It's so true unfortunately 😔
Kelly is such a likable soul ❤
So many great carnivore videos but this one is so entertaining and encompassing I have to pass this on.
Omg. The three best people in this field. All brilliant..where's the Nobel prize for them! Saving lives. Fighting for us. Thank you so much!!
Thank you all so much! 💜💜💜💜💜
I love any interview with Kelly!! She is so positive, joyful and just a breath of fresh air!! 💖
One of the most motivating stories I have ever heard! Thank you.
Kelly was the very first person who I listened to about carnivore. She changed my life!!
What a great interview. I love Kelly.
I appreciate doctors like Dr. Ovadia so much. A gem.
Thank you!
SO GOOD!! 😋 🧇 🥓🥓🥓 🥚
Love Kelly. You guys are asking great questions for us all. Thanks.
Our pleasure!
Awesome interview! 💞I love Kelly Hogan so much! If I get a coach ,it would be her! She makes you just set up and listen!
Kelly, I appreciate that you're sharing your journey with such love, honesty & humbleness. Thank you for being an inspiration to me. Love & Peace
I never had cravings. But for some reason after a year i really wanted some sour dough bread...
I just love Kelly. She is such a motivator!!!!!! How can you get on her support group?????
I just absolutely adore kelly. All 3 of you were amazing with this interview. Thank you so much.
I remember as a kid, hating vegetables but loving burgers. I also loved sweets, thus developed a sugar addiction.
Now, thanks to Kelly (and Dr Atkins), I just love my meat, especially burger patties.
Thanks for sharing!
You guys are the best! Love ❤️ 💕 you all!

I really enjoyed learning about Kelly’s story. I had not heard it before.
Thank you Kelly! I love your story. You have helped us so much!
Kelly is fabulous!! I became a Carnivore watching Kelly on UA-cam! ❤
😅 (That’s my theology take on the issue anyway.)
He is so supportive of my diet change but is still struggling with the idea that plants can possibly be bad for me. My digestive system says they are awful for me, so, I’m sorry Jesus, but for me, it’s no veggies in any quantity and absolutely NO leafy greens, ever!
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate you being here Grannievore!
Amber this is amazing, congrats! Thanks for sharing, appreciate you being here and supporting our channel ~ Eliza, on behalf of the Dr. Ovadia's I Fix Hearts team
I’m 81, cardiac calcium score of 2,088 in 2014. HDL 79 Triglycerides 67. Am I a candidate for the carnivore diet? Non smoker.
Sharleenreader7922 Theres a woman who is 87 who is on carnivore. She looks fantastic ! SHE started at 77 I believe.
She is so beautiful!
her warmth and energy radiates
This was a wonderful conversation. Thank you all for the work you do!
Kelly is incredible, she is the real deal. Love her testimony ❤
I just love Kelly so much! She’s like Wonder Woman to me with this woe. I’m more ketovore but I KNOW this is all true because I’ve lost so much weight and feel great! I just wish my family would jump on board with me! 😢
Loved this show
Thank you!
Kelly is a legend!
Kelly you are a hoot and a holler. I am from Alabama so i totally understand you. Thank ya'll!
Thank you for sharing! If you would like to work with Dr. Ovadia and his team, please feel free to book a call with out metabolic health consultant to discuss more ~ Jake, On behalf of Dr. Ovadia's I Fix Hearts Team. ifixhearts.com/jake/
RN Jet
The pickle left the plate😂😂😂she cracks me up!
This opens up my dietary knowledge to take it and look at it and ponder this new information. 🤔 Thank u. This is quite interesting.
Glad it was helpful!
