first off good effort so far buildnig this from scratch, my only input after builing a few space from front clips. tie the front suspesion bar into the a pillar section of the cage, dropping it down to the chassis removes lateral strength even if you brace between them. im assuming the cage will be welded to the body so in effect that puts all the front suspesion pressure up through the whole car rather than just into the front frame rail. good luck and looking forward to this being done.

    "Coyote swapped 1966 Mustang"
That's not doing justice to the amazing work you're doing here!!!
More like: "Fully custom built 1966 Mustang".

I personally wouldn't butt weld those upper strut support bars to the frame. I would of 1/2 the tube so it sits on the inside of the frame and partly on top of that description makes sense. Remember that bar will have the weight of the car on it. The force vector is up and slightly in so the way you did it the weld is in a pulling stress.
Also be mindful of straight bars pointing at the driver
Personally I would of made the frame the width of the car so I could get the seats low, but I am also quite tall.

I would have put a hole in the frame and put the tube through it , then welded. Much stronger.
    lovely work though buddy

Sat S totally agree, was waiting to see if anyone else recommended making holes in the rectangular frame for the shock tower verticals. Butt welding them, even with gussets, likely wouldn’t be as strong.
