Why is this only avaliere as a subscription? Also why is this getting delivered in Plastic and why are so few vegan meals? Even if I wanted this I can't because I am in the EU, but these are things why I wouldn't buy it. Here we also have a better solution for this called Löwenanteil. There you can just buy a meal without any subscription, everything is delivered in glass jars and most of it is vegan.
A irrelevant little fact about the game Doors is that the main idea (opening doors and entering random rooms each time, while surviving from hostile entities) is heavily inspired by Rooms. It looks like a game that came from 2014, which I believe is scarier and harder than Doors, due to the eerie atmosphere, lack of sound, doors going up to 1000 and fast entities. It can get extremely boring though.
I'd also bet on it being inspired by Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion as well, which isn't a bad thing, being inspired and borrowing concepts isn't an issue.
The creators of DOORS had another game before it, "Find the Trollfaces". People spent LOTS of money (and I mean lots) on Find The Troll Faces and then when the developers didn't want to make it anymore, they shut down Find The Trollfaces and everyone lost their money and made DOORS instead. It is for this reason that I boycott DOORS.
One thing not mentioned here that I find interesting. There have been cases, past and present, where a creator on Roblox gets fed up with Roblox and goes on to remake their idea on a different platform. The Dead Zone is I think the most famous case of this, where their game was copied and reproduced several times and Roblox did nothing about it. The creator of The Dead Zone went on to make Unturned, which is a moderately successful game on Steam.
As someone who somehow completely dodged this fad growing up, Roblox legitimately scares me at this point. Just...as a gamer looking at it from the outside, it seems like it has the potential to illustrate some sort of social apocalypse in youth. Like a Black Mirror episode or something...
The only solution I think it could be is donate every Roblox kid a Switch or a Steam Deck, with AAA games ready to play and someone else to join and interact, and hundred of hours of spare. Because right now, both mobile games and Roblox are “gaming for dummies” and it worked.
as someone who played it in the early days with its blocky simple obstacle courses and a free in-game currency you could earn just by playing (which no longer exists) i feel the exact same way about its modern incarnation.
@@nyo24 This era of Roblox that you played before is what Fortnite is right now. The Creative mode doesn’t have in-experience microtransactions and you earn XP for the battle pass.
@@lumirairazbyte9697 I mean, I'm less concerned with the elitist ideal of kids playing games for 'dummies' or whatever, I am more concerned with the attention degrading gameplay loops and addictive designs in addition to predatory mechanics tied to microtransactions to exploit children and get to their parents' wallets.
@@Spooky_Magooky but that’s exactly why kids and adults that doesn’t know about gaming are still playing those games, despite being predatory. For them, this is gaming: They may doesn’t know that there’s good games outside of their comfort zone. Why 80’s people still went to arcades, spending each dime and not just buy a home console or computer?
Twice, actually. Roblox disabled most audios because of players adding copyrighted audios. That happened... uh... 2 years ago? Maybe 3 years ago but I don't quite remember.
The worst part is as an ex-Brick Bronze frequent, that game was very not predatory. I think the only time you ever had to pay ANYTHING on that game was during it’s beta stage to gain access to the game, and all of those players got rewarded for spending the money after the fact. It seems companies only target the morally acceptable copyright infringement somehow and it’s infuriating
its not very visible, but there were SO many nintendo copyrighted games they had to goddamn switch to their own ideas (i.e loomian legacy, doodle world, monsters of etheria, KIRBO DEFENSE WHY GOD WHYYYY, list goes on), its literally impossible to make any decently sucessful nintendo inspired game. PS: sorry for the necropost
Roblox suffers from the cronic issue of "I could make a good game with passion, or I can get rich", and 99% of developers choose door #2. It's a shame not all of these actually good passion projects become popular like Doors did... in fact hardly any of them do, because they end up overshadowed by generic mind-numbing simulator #91855 (Now with pets!).
There's a game me and my friend regularly play on called RO-BOTS and the solo dev chose door number 1. There are a few purchases but they're so cheap, i think i saw one for like 25 robux. Genuinely nice guy, also adds updates and generally has actual passion in his game. (I believe there was an update yesterday or a day ago). It's worth checking out, basically like RO-BIO but remastered. It's worth checking out even if it's not your preference.
NO ONE gets rich off Roblox except Roblox, that's a fact. However, I imagine you can make a bit of a living off of it if you are on the front page. Sadly, a lot of teen developers are taken advantage of by these "development teams" (see: scummy 20-something year olds getting kids to do their bidding) and are underpaid, _not_ paid (paid with "exposure"), overworked, or publicly blamed.
Incredible video. you gave Roblox credit where it’s due, but also touched on a lot of the problems that really bog down the site. UA-camrs like me and a lot of my friends try to be very critical of roblox in our vids to motivate them to change stuff. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Pet Sim X is one that many of us have made videos on, and discussed the horrible manipulative practices of. You didn’t even touch on the worst parts: how they hide loot box chances to trick kids, and even released NFTs and $300 plushies to give out exclusive super powerful items in game. There’s truly nothing like roblox out there. The level of freedom it gives people is insane, and there have been some genuinely impressive and well made games that have come from the site. I hope that one day we have nothing negative to say about it, but right now there’s still a lot that Roblox needs to change and fix. If you ever wanna talk to someone with a lot of experience in the community about its lesser known issues more in depth, feel free to reach out 😏👍
I think the biggest thing is that back when tix was a thing, transactions felt less forced because there was only the dream of money being viable. You'd have a VIP shirt here or there, but no money really left the platform, it was just used for other people to buy VIP or convert to Robux (which did cost money but didn't pay it out yet) which was used for the roblox cosmetics. It was an independent market, much like TF2's economy but even more removed from the dollar. We did see baited games back then but they were much more innocent and less professional, because it was not corporate.
OML ipad kids will NOT remember bout tix being a thing, I was around when they were still a thing and i took a hiatus just a bit too long to later find out that i missed the period of time when roblox announced to people about removing tix and found out only after it happened. i still wish to this day i could have used my 200 tix i thought i was saving up for whatever reason to buy classic items and avatar parts which are now offsale (idk when taken offsale so) Even with UGC items even the roblox marketplace isnt going to be safe, the fact that it went PUBLIC phase literally brought in a whole bunch more issues
As a developer on Roblox, being reminded every time that anything creative I could make will only sink to the bottom and be beaten by giant games with the most mind-numbing gameplay is just painful. I actively oppose most of the games on the front page, because its all microtransactions, copyright, and just horrid game design. There are some games that I actively wished were never made, and seeing their primary design first hand has influenced me personally for all of my personal ideas and projects, mostly to stray away from P2W mechanics and moving all sorts of microtransactions to cheap cosmetics and relying on premium payouts to generate revenue. This video is honestly really accurate, and it just hurts to watch one video after another that expose the whole truth about the platform, especially after the videos PMG made.
so what? just because it might not reach the front page doesnt mean you should stop trying (also, you have to think realistically, the front page games are made by literal companies of trained devs
22:06 I once walked in on my brother with a notebook, Roblox trading site on one of his screens, and market history on the other, some people really do treat it like the stock market Btw he was 18
This video is extremely accurate to the current state of roblox, especially the point on how the actually good games have very small player bases. The best roblox games I ever played were robot 64( which you mentioned) Forward adventure 2( A game that shutdown a while back, but has a few retrains), arcane odyssey which very recently released and has a very small player base of about 1000-1500 players, and outlaster which is a Survivor like game that really captures the feeling of old roblox with friends. Roblox has become so saturated with shitty content that me and my friends would intentionally look for crappy games when we were bored ( Except 5 nights at los pollos hermanos for that is mankind's greatest creation).
I could not agree with you more on those fronts of Robot 64 and AF2, true classics that never got the attention they truly deserved. Nowadays I've personally found my place amidst the playerbase of JToH, an obby game that isn't for the feint of heart, but through practice and discipline teaches you the ways of an obby master and becomes fun to grind or even replay. Granted, It does have somewhat of a "pay-to-win" system, but the game (and most of it's players) actually discourage the use of it.
Let me answer your question from 17:45. Because library computers don’t let you install steam, but DO let you install Roblox. Roblox’s client doesn’t require a traditional “install” that normal programs do, meaning it works around most blocks that schools, libraries, and parents use. Not to mention mobile crossplay.
It's all about that mobile crossplay, and the fact you don't have to actually install the games on roblox to play them, along with the fact that a large amount of the available games are free to play (with loads of microtransactions of course)
When you mentioned having fun with your friends in Raise a peter, i can't stress enough how much fun will you have at item asylum (a very meme charged "shooter" game) if you can get 6 or more people in a server, it's completely chaotic and a blast every time
I played robot 64 a long time ago and I still think it's a great example of what roblox can be used for (keyword 'can'). It's a shame that the games that take actual effort are usually drowned out by the most mind-numbing asset flips you could possibly make. I'm also genuinely convinced that roblox creators are constantly on the verge of inventing a new genre
11:03 This is so true. I’ve been on the platform since 2012, and all I would use my robux for back in the day was avatar items. I think that’s what the roblox economy mainly was for in old roblox: customizing your avatar. I would VERY rarely spend my robux on a gamepass. Seems like the system flipped on itself. If I do spend money on robux today, it’s still just for avatar items.
The friend aspect is definitely what makes roblox so unique, it makes me wish there were more games with extensive multiplayer support that you can just hop in and play with people
I got a girls phone number off roblox and she was a real girl 😎. (No I didn’t read anything you wrote I’m just replying cause I felt like it but I’ll like the comment to show I mean no harm 😘)
Hi small horror game developer from Roblox here and to make this quick an easy, everything you have said is factual. In recent years I have slowly begun to notice Roblox has been going down this pipeline and it’s quite sad to see the platform like this since smaller devs are being overshadowed by as you stated “The Giants” of the platform. Growing up I always said “I wish there were more horror games on the Platform” and I seem to have gotten my wish, but in the somewhat worst way possible. The only reason some of us ever survive out here is because of UA-camrs like yourself finding our work and giving it some attention before we fall back into obscurity. I feel you should do another dive at some point but look at some of the devs and how they treat their fan bases, because let me tell you some of it is absolutely unbelievable. And a prime example would be the creator of Pet Sim X. Good video hope to see more soon!
I play this game called Tradelands and it’s a fun game but it’s slowly becoming more P2W because that’s simply what roblox wants, I remember when I first joined the mystery crates were a 1 time a year thing but now the game’s economy is littered with crate weapons. It’s an amazing designed game based in the 1700-1880s. But it’s a shame that a person who has skill can be beaten by one who has money.
@@Rogue_Waves I’m really sorry to hear this man. So many games suffer this fate and it really does blow when the game you enjoy playing gets consumed by the pipeline. Trust me I know that feeling since I still force myself to play TDS even though the game has fallen from its once high held standards.
@@Tbot_2 Problem is that would take a lottttt of adapting, considering how many years I have dumped into this engine now (Though I will say that I do feel I should start testing those waters at some point or another)
@@StarvinMarvin828 mind if I ask, whats the name of your games if you have any public? I need to take every chance of finding something that can qualify as game here lol
So well spoken. I used to play this as a kid too, and recently tried it again too. It just did not feel like the same game I grew up playing and I just couldn’t put it into words. Incredible video, you’ve said what all of us were thinking
I just kind of feel sad for all the developers who put so much passion but are completely ignored because they don’t stoop to having poor micro transactions and they don’t stick to the stupid meme pop culture algorithms
Good video! When you were talking about how easy it is for these games to just be gone, I remembered what happened to Roblox Pokémon games. Pokémon brick bronze and other Roblox Pokémon games were one of my favorite games on Roblox, and the community was shattered when it and other Pokémon suddenly got deleted. If/when these anime style games get taken down, it will be infinitely worse than the Pokémon situation, since this is on a much grander scale.
i'm always suprised this isn't banned where i live, i live in belgium and our online gambling laws here are incredibly strict, they banned things like genshin impact (the whole game) and fifa 20-24's microtransactions and more because there is no way to safely verify a kid wouldn't gamble money, yet roblox is just fine 😭😭
@@ArshadZahid_nohandleideas allot of apps, but only the ones that are made by big companies ofc, those trashy mobile games that took 0 effort to develop are still "allowed".
Didn't a lot of Roblox games get banned in Belgium? I don't live there but I heard a lot of people talking about it. I think some games could just remove the lootboxes if they weren't vital to the game play like Pet Simulator
you're the first person in UA-cam i've seen actually talk about the good side of roblox (while still acknowledging the bad side and all the bullshit) and not just the crappy frontpage games and now i forever love you. (to everyone who thought "i forever love you" was serious it was a joke chill 😭)
honestly this game was basically my childhood... probably playing it on average 3-4 hours a day from age 9-15 and it was its own sort of journey. All the good and bad you mentioned here I experienced... Seeing this as an adult kinda hurts since you know it's all true yet you hold so many fond memories on the platform. From the days of swordfight on the heights to jailbreak/meep city ruling roblox to weight lifting simulator popularizing simulators to anime hell (which thankfully I was not playing during) this game has gone very far and I think it shows greatly in your video "essay." There were a bunch of awesome things I doubt I would like now without roblox. For example I love the TV show big brother and roblox had a "big brother" game (now remade into "eviction notice") where you would play a simulation of big brother and try to outwit your competition to win. Of course 90% of the time the winners would just be based on who was friends with who rather than strategy but that got me into all of those types of games such as mafia, werewolf, blood on the clocktower, and town of salem and greatly enjoy going to conventions to play face-to-face with others. Even now I work as a backend developer, which is something I probably wouldn't be doing if it wan't for roblox as I had learned LUA before any other language which later got me into SQL and Bash which later got me into linux systems and I would fuck around with them on VMs and before I knew it I was in university majoring in web development. in conclusion even if it was undoubtedly a predatory service made to funnel away your parents' credit cards there were still great memories to be made. Of course if I ever have kids ill never let them use roblox for the reasons stated here, but I'm sure I'm not the only one now who looks back on this predatory service with nostalgia and happiness more than anything
@@Violight9 ahaha I never expected anyone to read my comment fully. I guess it comes down to a multitude of factors, but I wouldn't want to be a control freak of a parent, policing my kids every online move and would rather let them play other games if that's what they wished with their own freedoms. I get what you mean though. Being overbearing is not something a kid would want from a parent unless they were raised in an environment (i.e are foster kids) where those restrictions may be appreciated. If it were to end up socially isolating them then I'd be more open to it but I do think I would put the effort of blocking Roblox's IP from my network. Thank you for replying and I appreciate the feedback!
I actually used to be horrifically addicted to one of the games you mentioned, Anime Adventures. I played when it came out and it started out fun while I was playing with my friends. However as I kept playing I realized how pay to win(or lose cause it is a shitty gacha game) the game was. I felt robbed because I DID like the game, I had enjoyed the gameplay loop with its challenging levels and fairly short story mode (it is neither short nor enjoyable now) and thought the characters were cool. (Yes I know the lack of care in the game itself is heavily indicated by the daily system and pop up UIs and stuff but I didn’t really notice because that garbage has been mostly normalized on this god awful platform). At some point Anime Adventures didn’t feel like a game anymore, it felt like a wire poked into my brain BEGGING me for my money. Eventually I caved in and bought the premium pass or whatever. I had NEVER felt worse. I had spent 8 of my real life dollars for a CHANCE of getting something good. It was only when I bought the game ULTRAKILL did I remember what made games fun and special. After comparing the two, I had decided to quit Anime Adventures and Roblox games in general indefinitely. If anyone bothered to read this, there are games on Roblox that are worth supporting, but there is also a massive amount of games that can be summed up as psychological scams. Roblox is not the same as it used to be and in my opinion, is NOT worth playing.
If devs are passionate about a game they’re going to turn to something like unreal or game maker not roblox. If they want to squeeze money out of children then they turn to roblox.
The issue with Roblox pretty much started once the platform started to get a bigger following, probably around the 2018-ish era. The platform became very big and so it costed a lot money from roblox to keep their servers running. The platform slowly started to become more user-generated content focused. So since Roblox’s profits rely off their users, it makes sense why they encourage cramming monetization down people’s throats. Because it benefits both roblox themselves and the people doing the monetizing. It’s sad, because I remember playing around 2013 when the biggest game hosted 5k players and all that game was just an obby, or a pvp game. The only payed thing was maybe just extra cosmetic items or a donate button. Roblox treats developers nowadays as their own business owners. It’s not fun anymore, just business.
Yeah, I used to play roblox a ton back then, I started playing in 2009. It's been painful watching it turn into this. Roblox used to be about fun, not milking children dry for money.
Roblox makes it so difficult to even find games that aren't in the top 100 experiences, the discover page will only show you so much. In the past you could scroll for hours looking for a new experience, but now you just have to somehow happen upon them through pure chance or somebody's word.
I think one of the main reasons behind roblox's popularity is that it runs on almost any low end machine. I think most kids playing roblox dont even have a pc that can be used for gaming purposes so they just end up playing roblox instead
Honestly, i'm really glad you made this video. I aspire to be the kind of adult that doesn't just shit on whatever the latest generation is doing, and rather try to engage with them. But I have seen stuff that straight worries me, like tiktok for instance. I've heard of roblox, but I don't know anything about it, I just know that i've seen kids playing some pretty neat stuff on there, like the free fps cod game you showed and some free rhythmn games along with race karts and stuff. Seemed pretty innocent and nice. There's too much stuff to keep track of in life, and i'm really glad to see a shortform video showing what's going down in brown town on Roblox. I have to admit, this is incredibly disappointing and slightly disheartening to hear (because at this point, i'm just kind of expecting this crap everywhere.). I'm getting incredibly nervous about these increasingly exploitative practices being used on everyone, and especially our children. Like there was stuff like this when I was a kid, but these days, it's so out of base with my childhood, I can't even relate to being a child experiencing this shit everywhere being completely normalized. Every single ducking app, game, media really. Just exploiting the everlasting duck out of the human brain. And you're incredibly right about the issue here. When all your friends, youtubers, and twitch streamers and more are playing this trash. What else as a kid are you going to do? You're not going to just outright step outside that herd. It takes real balls to do that as a kid, and kids just want to fit in, feel approval, and smile with their friends. -sigh- I wish there was more direction to figure out how to stop this stuff. Technology is just too integral to modern lives that you can't just shut this off and it's all fine like when I was a kid. Even with just cutting something off like roblox, just like that, you run the risk of easily destroying a kids social life. It's shameful that this is where we're at right now. We're fighting all these stupid fights online, and I just want there to start being real laws and crack down on this frankly terrifying trend of normalization of highly addictive and explorative practices of human psychology.
wow this text could go in some national report or something, sums up so many crucial problems. especially "You're not going to just outright step outside that herd. It takes real balls to do that as a kid, and kids just want to fit in, feel approval, and smile with their friends" feels way too real, rn many people are going to roll with so much not okay stuff and let what they think depend on others opinions just so they can keep the approval of probably the wrong people.
As a roblox player. I approve of this video. I mainly play Royale High and Flicker. Which have some micro transitions. And some give you advantages but the gameplay is still at the forefront and socialization is part of the experience!
hi, roblox "veteran" and avid yakkocmn watcher here. ngl i think this is one of the most comprehensive videos covering this platform that i've seen. while i still find adult men playing shitty frontpage games funny, i appreciate that you took the time to look deeper into the games the platform offers. in response to some of the things bought up: - yeah, its a shame all the good games are buried by dopamine-destroying simulators. a lot of the appeal for older players are these more high quality games, yet the sheer quantity of children to other ages severely boosts the popularity of the more "addictive" games. however there are some good games that recieve the attention they deserve, most notably deepwoken which averages 10k players on a good day and is imo the best game on the website - the reason there are so many games with copyright-infringing material is because of the reach of the platform; if something blows up and you have the skill making a quick, low-effort game will almost always attract young players who may be less aware of any microtransactions. its not ethical but given how horribly they pay developers its a necessary evil - the reason there are so many games with long grinds is because of a feature where, if people with roblox premium (a subscription service that provides multiple benefits both outside and in games) play your game for a long amount of time you gain extra profits. therefore games will add extra benefits for premium users to entice them, and make the grind for content long and arduous to drive up these numbers i wish you would've covered how out of touch the company is with its community as its been an issue for years and genuinely affects people's enjoyment of the game, but i get this isnt meant to be a comprehensive review. cool video anyway, and i definitely wasnt expecting you to cover the platform nevermind in this much detail
Was wondering when someone would bring up Deepwoken. It's wild the kinds of things skilled devs can do with the roblox engine, even if Monad Studios is piss poor at balancing and keeping unfair tech out of the game.
@@innerapathymost of that "content" is just walking lmao, the game is pretty poorly balanced too tbh this grabage of a game doesn't deserve 5$ to paid to be played.
I personally play SCP site roleplay, the rp one. I guess it is sort of a money maker, but you do get certain powers which could be abused so I see why. I've never heard anybody complin, those that did tho, came back
This just brings me to a wish i've had for so long. I wish we could have parental control in Roblox. A feature where we could put games behind passwords. So my kid couldn't play Adopt Me, and respect their elders playing Raise a Peter. I like how you mixed memes and stupid jokes with the actual serious theme of this video. First video centered around the issues of Roblox that doesn't use a creepypasta music in the background. Keep the good work up.
Oh there are plenty of good games on there, but like many things that encourage creativity, theres tons of bad ones made by uncreative and bad people who make the experience worse for everyone else
20:15 In the netherlands, they actually started banning games with the gambling stuff in them, or force games to make a special version of the game that doesn't involve the gambling. Sonic Speed Simulator for example, was banned for a couple months due to this, but then got unbanned in the netherlands because they made a special version of the game that removes all the gambling with real money.
I played Roblox a ton back in like 2011-2012. The game is so different than it used to be. Who'd've thunk that 10 years of people learning the platform and how to take advantage of it would make for a more mature suite of experiences.
Sadly no, I am easily one of the only people with more than a single digit IQ on roblox. You have to DIG HARD to find even a nearly acceptable game. Really just never spend jack on robux, never spend anything on a game. Most games are still a stupid memey mess. Great fun to make fun of the trashy games with friends.
@@BlutoToMars I see the problem. You’ve gotta start looking for the good games. Saitama battlegrounds was a pretty good one. Minimal micro transactions and just pure combat.
My favorite game on Roblox is Creatures of Sonaria. It was actually shown at 19:18. Overall, I would say that the microtransactions do not get in the way of playing, and I have been able to consistently get new creatures without having to spend robux. I really hope this doesn't change in the remake though...
its nice to see someone actually look on both sides of the argument, listing some actually good games made on the platform. not throwing it all as kid game "get your moms credit card" simulators. but also addressing that yeah, alot of games are meant for gullible children. this is the first time ive seen your channel and I'm genuinely impressed with your editing and unbias opinions, subbed liked and shared. keep it up! :D
i work for a game called Make a Cake. It’s one of those games that “A kid made in his free time in 2010”, except after year of networking, that kid grew up to get a team of devs together and they turned it into a fully-polished game! It isn’t extremely “fun” for adults, but it is extremely detailed, with a built-in playlist system for its huge soundtrack (a feature not many games have.) You can also fumble around with your friends with *several* tools that throw people around, as well as cars and ramps. Yeah, a game about making CAKES has cars and trucks… we kinda took it too far, and it’s honestly a lot of fun to mess around in every now and then. It’s not that popular anymore, but we take pride in the fact that it is still a fun game! But yeah, Roblox is… one hell of a crazy platform… there is a lot of manipulation and scams in the market. I wish there was an easy solution, but no…
aah wait that’s so cool!!! make a cake was one of my favorite games when i was younger ^^ and i still like to play it when i can because the updates have been phenomenal
Finally, somone who ACTUALLY FOCUSED ON THE GAMES, and has a comedic tone to boot. Honestly, I was glad I played roblox as a kid. It made me hyper aware and more resistant to things such as micro transactions and scams. I hold the memories of old roblox in decent regards, in fact I still play a handful of games on rare occasions that I managed to dumpsterdive for back in the day. Its been intresting, fun and horrifying at the same time to see how they all have evolved in different ways over the years.
I played roblox since 2015 and the site has changed alot, back then people were genuinely making games for fun and not for profit i mean yes there were gamepasses and simulators but most were not obvious cash grabs. I'm happy that Roblox now gets acknowledged for being something else than a Lego kids game but the Multiple cash grabs and lifeless corporations taking over and buying games keep infesting the site.
I’ll admit, I fiended the Tycoons when I was a wee lad. The hours I spent just staring at numbers go up to step on a red button to make the number go up a little faster while a minor change to my area happened were numerous beyond words
Ngl 5:32 the lil guide to for where to go in the chase sequence is such a neat little but of UI design so you don't get screwed by any confusing level design, more games should do that tbh
As an avid Roblox player, its always insane going from playing the microtransactions filled sludge like Pet Simulator X and Adopt Me to actually great games like PHIGHTING! and Deepwoken.
After seeing all the simulators past a certain point, you sort of sub-consciously block them out to the point where when there is a micro transaction, you see it, but you DON'T see it. It isn't TOO hard to find well made games with little to no irl money involved. Playing obscure games (Revival is one) is, in my opinion, just as fun as playing a game like Robot 64.
i know some good games in roblox. 1. Decaying WInter: no gamepasses, wave survival game based on scattering items around the map while trying not to die from waves that come in between scavange stages. 2. Randomly Generated Droids: a multiplayer roguelike game (up to 4 players in normal mode) where you need to complete all 10 worlds and kill one of the 4 final bosses to finish it. each 10 rooms (final room of the wolrd) a special room will appear, it will be iether a shop, lab, library, forge. there you can buy items and diffrent swords. after finishing the game once or normal or higher difficulty you will unlock crown challanges and increase your ascention levels. crown challanges have 3 diffrent changes that will help you or make your life harder. after you beat the game at the highest ascention level you have, your ascention level will increase (up to ascention level of 15). each ascention level will add a modifier to make the game harder. like ascention 10 will make you have 50 max health at the start of the game isntead of 100, also having all preverious modifiers. you will also gain points after completing a run (up to 500), for points you can buy diffrent classes like engineer, cultist, raider and more. all classes have diffrent abilities (except classless) which will help you if you use them at the right time. 3 gamepasses (classes that require skill to play as), you cal also buy points but you really dont have to. 3: Noobs In Combat: a Co-op turn based strategy game, where you need to contol your units you setup at the start and spawn via headquaters or outpost to complete the mission (dont die in X turns, dont lose headquater and destroy or capture enemy headquater, etc.) . vehicles have oil, units have ammo, so you will have to re-supply them. afte you end mission without losing, you will gain points and exp for units you had in your loadout (5-X exp based on how much you used this unit). when unit has max exp, you will be able to upgrade it (if it has an upgraded verison). you will still be able to use not upgraded version of unit, the upgrade costs points and sometimes golden nuggets. you also can use points to get new units, also some units require diamonds to buy, you cna get diamonds for completing last mission of the mission set, from daily rewards (10 diamonds at the strak of 0, 50 diamonds at the streak of 5) or buy them with robux. 4: Dummies Vs. Noobs: there are diffrent gamemodes: 1. seige: you are the last group of dummies, beign atacked by the army of noobs. this mode consists of 10 waves, each 3 waves bosses will come to kill you, 1 out of the 3 bosses for each boss wave. at the last wave all bosses that wasnt used will come. the game becomes really hard without good teammates at wave 4 or 5, so better get good teammates. 2. mastermind: just like the siege, but now wave spawn is controlled by a player. he also can upgrade his units by using points he gets each wave and send rockets to kill you while you are off guard. some rockets make you blind, some summon a smoke bubble, but most of them can easiy kill you. after you died, wait for the wave to end or someone to come and revive you. 3. attraction: you need to defend the points from the noobs. there are one main point and 4 or 5 secondary points. if you lose secondary point, the amount or money you get will be decreased, and if you lose the main point or you all die, you lose. 4. epilogue: your team need to infiltrate and explode the facility controled by noobs. there are 3 waves (stages), at the end of them all you will need to kill the boss that will spawn. there are 6 diffrent classes: recon, scout, ranger, engineer, medic, specialist. all of them excpect specialist just get diffrent loadout that you can buy at the shop.
It's just a bummer that most high quality games on Roblox are so hard to find, and as a result, are super underrated and have small playerbases. There's some real talented developers in the community that makes these amazing games but because nobody finds or plays them they're sometimes conditioned to stop working on them. I'd highly recommend you to play some of these games listed below as I didn't see you play them:| -Black Magic II: Phantom's Causatum, one of the best fighting games on roblox with original characters and all. -Adventure story, a charming RPG game inspired by likes of Mario RPG's and such. Sadly, development has stopped for this one. -Phighting, a really cool team fighting game with tons of character dialogue interactions. They're all super fun to play and made with passion.
I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring here and add three more games I've enjoyed to the list. HOURS - an arcadey third-person roguelite beat-em-up that features enemies based on ROBLOX accessories, gears, and lore (yes, lore), and playable characters with JoJo-esque time controlling abilities. Arcane Odyssey - a giant PvE and PvP open-world fighting game made by the developer of Adventure Story, featuring seafaring and magic. Based on Greek Mythology with a twist & currently in early access. Adventure Forward Two - a classic-style collect-a-thon platformer from the older days of ROBLOX. Run and jump through nine major worlds filled with stars (the major collectable) and challenge courses to gain the respect of the deities inhabiting them: Points. Though the original game was broken due to ROBLOX updates, there's a restored version that works just fine.
I have some because I am obsessed with this Make Your Own Army - the graphics are so cute tbh, not p2w (ish) its a strat(ish) game, but its not really high quality if not more of a passion project
@@qwontz Im max lvl in Arcane Odyssey and i can tell you deepwoken is better in every single way, pve pvp leveling system build diversity skill cap, everything
There’s a couple of games I always return to on Roblox. There’s Loomian Legacy, a Pokémon-like Creature Collector, and Doodle World, the closest thing that can be called a competitor. Both are currently having an event for Pride Month that involves Rainbow Variants of their creatures, with a low spawn rate. The thing is, you _actually_ can’t buy them, you HAVE to find them or earn them, which is something I like. With Doodle World you can use the game’s chaining mechanic to bypass the MTX, (and it does have many of those systems). Loomian Legacy lacks the heavy MTX systems, but does still have MTX. I occasionally indulge in both out of respect for the developers. Interestingly, BOTH games were born from the ashes of an event caused by a certain game company well known for their Ninjas. You talked about how many games are walking a thin line of Copyright infringement, and that’s actually something Roblox has actually had occur. Before Simulators were the top games on the platform, there was a wider variety of popular games and less of an emphasis on MTX. You had a GTA clone in the top spot, actually, but another top game was straight up a Pokémon Fangame. Pokémon Brick Bronze. I played it a ton back in the day, had a couple of full odds Shinies, and the Rarest Pokémon in the game Crystal Onix. Right before the takedown, I even got my hands on an Azelf. It got taken down, hard, and it actually resulted in the entire selection of Roblox Pokémon devs getting spooked. Eventually they got taken out too. Loomian Legacy was born from the development team behind PBB, while Doodle World is born from another of those games, Project Pokémon. There’s a bit of a joke in the Loomian Legacy community for those in the know that Scorbunny is actually a ripoff of their Fire Rabbit, Embit, as Loomian Legacy’s official reveal pre-dates Sword and Shield.
My nephews are addicted to it, so I wanted to see what it is. Today I introduced by older nephew to Starcraft, and he really got into it. I'm really proud.
The first time I ever saw anything about Roblox, my little sister was playing a game where the objective was to set up a lemonade stand and to quite literally BEG for money. No matter what good things I hear about Roblox, that first impression will stick forever.
My first time was in 2014 playing some hide an seek game as a guest with unlockable characters and giant maps, and then I played a bunch of Pokemon fangames.
From Malaysia here. My now 13 year old youngest brother had been playing Roblox since he was 9 was because we didn't have enough ducket to get a proper working laptop for him to play other games. I am genuinely worried the amount of exploitative and shady things in there. At the same time impressed by just how much amazing and out of this world games that also exist in that platform. He even had to download a third party auto clicker just so he could grind through an insanely unethical design just to skip a paywall. Being in a third world country where my 1 buck is only worth 1/5 USD. 1/4 if we got a lucky economical session. Even with my parent's middle-class status and jobs still couldn't afford proper setup for him to play proper games. I've tried to reason with my parents if he don't get proper gaming experience like me back in the day where games are not driven by corporate excessive greed, he could learn a lot more than just these trashy shady pseudo- gacha/mobile games and Roblox. My parents are the same type of people that chastise us for playing a game that has violence and nudity in it's narrative without even recognizing the creative writing that puts such topics into a discussion. Much worse, they act like games now are all just copycat clones of Call of Duty or Fortnite.
@@MountainMemelord I'm glad he found an alternative workaround to the braindead cookie clicker grind but by the time he managed to arrived at his goal he didn't feel too fulfilling. When I heard him wanting to try other games or spend more time with his friends in sports that's a hallmark sign of how drained he is from these games. The game(Don't rememebr the exact name cause they all just sounds and looks the same at a superficial level) I'm talking about is basically a blob of popular action anime characters doing flashy moves in a free-for-all PVP large map. It's intense but the p2w mechanics are just horrendous.
@@emperor8716 That's the most generic and condescending advice. You have no idea. Don't just assume people people who have video games as their main hobbies have done nothing else in life if you don't want to appear intellectually vapid.
I've played Roblox for years more than any other game, and I definitely agree with many points you made in the video. There are so many games that monetize so hard and get popular because of bright colors and just overusing trends.
I remember playing those 160 level obstacle courses whenever I could. It would be at school or daycare, so it was always a race to see how far into it I could get before I had to get off. It was super fun, and something I remember fondly. I didn't realize Roblox had gotten this bad and now I just feel.. Sad. I also played this medieval rpg where you could pick from a bunch of magical classes/races and then you were just dropped into the world. It was pretty big, I remember there were two castles, one dark, one light. And there was a forest in the middle separating the two with a secret tree house/village in it. Also the pizza sim/rpg was fun.
10:27 seeing you play that game gave me a mini heart attack, that game is called Undertale test place reborn (UTPR) and is one of a few games that have origins starting from a game called "soulshatters" and is one of a few games that came from soulshatters that I play.
16:37 I watched to a little more into the video and I'm a little offended that you put that clip when you said "heavy reliance on popular memes" UTPR is not in any way like that, there is only 1 gamepass that lets you change your weapon color, but you automatically get that when you get 1k kills in the game, and there is no way it's relying on popular memes.
@@BoughtChip dont be offended that he dissed a game you play in like a 2 second clip ive played the game too and dont say its not heavy reliance on pop culture as thats the entire game yes it may have special parts the main game dosent have but its hole concept is built off of somebody elses work its a fan game but thats it is all like that its even more the heavy reliance its full reliance if undertale didnt become big and go into pop culture that game would not exist
The worst part about this? There's nothing that can be done about this. Hell, even if, hypothetically, the issue is seemingly fixed, there will always be ways for Roblox developers and traders to find shady loopholes for monetary gain.
If you want a fun original game with a well developed story, I would suggest entry point. This has been my favourite game for a while now, and there is a reason for that. And please, if you do try it, dont give up on the first mission.
Never in a million years did I think Yakko would cover something like this. Here we are in an age where Video Game Reviewers can also talk about serious subjects. Good work.
I’ve consistently played for over ten years. Something I learned quickly is that the garbage is worth sifting through because sometimes you find something so special, unique, amazing, and sometimes personal that you could never find anywhere else. Sometimes you strike pure gold. Also many games that are monetized are still good. The ones that aren’t free but aren’t skinner boxed to hell.
Very true. I'm relatively new, joining around 2019 i think and majority of the fun games are the ones with a low player count. For example, Vyyrahk City, has only around 50 players at the peak of the day and around 8 for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, it suffers from being a grindy game but can still be pretty fun. At one point I was in a faction and was genuinely worried that i was going to get jumped by some other faction bc i was in a rival faction. Another game is Starscape which is kind of a doldrum state rn. It's not dead or alive. Fell in love with the music and atmosphere. I blame the dev for it being in the state it's in rn tho. He disbanded the dev team because he felt that he wasnt doing anything to the game. Right in the middle of them working on an update. And as far as we know, he hasnt been working on it since.
A good example of those kinda games are Juke’s Towers of Hell and Find the Chomiks. JToH is so difficult and punishing that I can’t recommend it for most people. But at the same time, it has some of my favorite things on Roblox like Citadel of Heights and Depths. FTC has puzzles so complex and intricate that it could take an hour to explain all of just one of them(cough cough Everything Chomik cough cough). But, once again, it has some of the coolest uses of both Roblox and the Internet ever, like Chomipedia and Bonnet Chomik. Neither of these games could make sense outside of Roblox, which is what makes them all the more special. They also both have an extremely inconsistent standard for quality, making them feel like their own genre. There’s no official title that would have both something like Uber Secret Chomik and Intergalactik or Tower of Inception and Tower of Time and Space Manipulation. TL:DR: Go play Juke’s Towers of Hell and Find the Chomiks. They’re pretty good.
its honestly kinda sad how roblox was called terrible for so long and it took DOORS in 2021-22 (or earlier idk and idc) to reveal that roblox ISNT just all garbage when devs were working hard to make good games
One thing I find amazing is that I remember playing roblox when I was 8 and now 10 years later my cousin who is 9 is playing roblox. she showed me what's she's playing and while it's a bit different it's still so similar to my experience with roblox that it feels like not much has changed at all as if it's some kind of time capsule haha. Roblox may not be the best game ever, but it still holds a place in my heart for that reason
I fear the days when I'll have to watch out for aggressive and almost parasitic? Money hungry games for my kids and grandkids. At the same time I hope it gives the kids an opportunity to find out what games they actually want to play and maybe create them for themselves.
Hey everyone if you want some games then I have some! 1. Phighting - phighting is a 5v5 where you can select out of a cool genre of characters 2. Vh3 - from the guy who mad vh2 or vh1 vh3 is stupid fun and is a pvp horror game! It is stupid fun 3. Dingus - it's basically a deception game try to act like an NPC game and try to complete your tasks or be the hunter to find the players
personally, one of my favourite games on roblox is entry point. While it does have a few transactions, they either barely affect gameplay, or give players more content, essentially a DLC after finishing the main game. It is also very well made, fun to play with friends.
retrostudio is probably the best place where kids can go the community is nice. no transactions and has amazing classic games from robloxs golden error. its sad to see retro studio dying
I played roblox as kid and often forget how popular it is. It’s insane what it’s become and how it’s changed old roblox went from a super simple game to this giant game full of devs and crazy ass games insane to think about it
Showed this to my brother who is trapped in the cycle of the predatory games. Hopefully this helps him take a step in the right direction towards better games.
You should guide him towards games you, him or even better; both find enjoyable. Luckily when I played roblox 10 years ago the platform was much more creative and had less of these premium money farms. Even when I do find myself in these games I end up seriously bored and usually end up alt+F4ing after a popup window asking for 300rs peaks my frustration and go off to play something better.
@@CollinWitlox Yeah it takes a bit more than a day to actually pick up interest with a game. Problem with those simulators is how god damn addictive they are.
I gotta say though. A lot of old school one piece roblox games I played capture the adventurous feel of one piece that no official game has done yet. They had tons of islands to explore and a massive list of devil fruit powers to play with, including one that could teleport other players all over the map. It was really amazing and I want a game that captures that adventure again.
Rell seas might probably capture that feeling of One Piece, made by the ppl who created Shinobi Life 2 in Roblox literally all op games are just boring bandit beaters. I'm both excited and cautiously optimistic for that game
i really recomend games like: typical colors 2 (roblox tf2), decaying winter and specially the adventure forward 1 and 2, these games are really cool to play, from tf2 but it gets updated to a brutal wave survival game about scavenging in un-ending winter and the best (base roblox movement) platformer in my not so humble opinion, just landing those hidden gems for y'all. just to add: Search parkour, it's an actual parkour movement based game that requires ilegal amounts of skill to master, it's great.
roblox is cool and all, but no lie i lived off Factor_ for like a year. I'm disabled and really can't cook (like, *physically* can't) and it's genuinely good food. I only had to stop because of the price and the fact that the delivery boxes were piling up in my house lol now I have to get TV dinners again and have *those* boxes pile up instead 🙃 also, glad to know I'm not the only one who left the "tutorial" sky island without finding the starter shirt XD
Comment for the algorithm. Roblox was a formative game for me when I was like 8-12 and it means a lot to me. It sucks to see what it's become and it's good to see those awful shortcomings being brought to light. That being said, thanks for showing me some awesome-looking games on the platform. Gotta try out Microwave Dinner sometime.
I would say that less than 1% of the big games are good, but not as known games are often enjoyable because they don't advertise it on the platform and feed it to more people.
I knew better to spend money on items to skip the grind and I also knew my mom wasn’t gonna let that fly. Looking back, simulators and tycoons gotta be the biggest useless time sinks I’ve ever wasted my time on but I never got deep into them. Murder Mystery 2, Elemental battle grounds, Jailbreak and random obbys were what I spent most of my time on
As a fellow roblox veteran (Joined late 2012, still going strong) I've been keen to look out for those "p2w" type games and try to avoid them like the plague. If you're still an active player (or anyone here just wants game suggestions) here's some of my favorites. Craftwars Knockoff Balanced Craftwars Overhaul Ability Wars Toy Soldierz Grass Cutting Incremental Midnight Horrors Arcane Odyssey Defender's Depot HOURS The Battle Bricks

crush his dreams? just tell him to make whatever he wants and teach him to create his own assets or use free assets. i'm assuming your little brother is young so he has SO much time on his hands that he could be using to create. if he doesn't have a decent laptop or pc i understand but you can just supervise whatever he creates on roblox

In terms of copy right, boy do I remember when someone made a Pokémon game on Roblox (surprisingly well done) and Nintendo was not thrilled once they discovered it a good few years after the start.
As a kid the thing that really attracted me too roblox was the simulator games, I was way to into the trading element, idk I know they were bad and knew that then but still played them way to much
Great video, it really explains all my gripes with Roblox games and the parts of Roblox I adore. I love playing Roblox, I'm happy that for once that one of these videos are at the very least taking the more serious and fun sides of Roblox into consideration. Rather than just dumping on simulators that almost everyone I know hates and ignoring games like Robot 64 or FRONTLINES, you showed the more respectable side and still criticized the clickbait cash-grab simulators. This video also goes in on the fact Roblox is boring as hell without playing in a discord call with some friends, my favorite pass time when playing Roblox. You cannot be catching me anymore alone on Pet Simulator X at 3 am on a school night.
I remember playing roblox in 2010 for the first time, I convinced my parents to buy me the lifetime builders account and forgot about it for years until I sold the account for 5k
i'm glad you also called out the horde of poorly balanced p2w PvP anime games that the community refuses to acknowledge as bad,it really feels like in any discussion around roblox those games either get a pass or get praised purely because they appeal to teens and young adults instead of kids
I only play like 3 games on roblox when i play because i dont have the patience to shift through the garbage. I once accidentally bought a music player in a fishing simulator with robux, and i dont even know how i managed it. it popped into my ui and i was missing 35 robux. i hate the microtransactions in the game, they feel so so gross
As someone who been playing Roblox since 2013. I've since a lot of stuff done to Roblox over the years. Both The Good and The Bad. I still play it a lot because I still have a lot of fun with it. And made lots of friends on Roblox. But it does feel like a shadow of its former Self.
(I'm one of the founders of that nuke game 14:22), not totally proud of a lot of the similarities it holds with other simulators, despite being so similar though we really put a lot of effort into the game and then eventually just decided it's not a passion project so what the hell, on the flip side we give a lot of free stuff to players throughout the game as they progress. At the end of the day we needed to make money for ourselves in order to to maintain basic livelihood as well as funding our main project(BloopVille) which we've put every ounce of creative effort we can conjure up to create, which includes tons of F2P mechanics and items that players can acquire through hard work and grinding, not just gacha mechanics.
As a dude making my own (mostly) original game on roblox and have been playing it for almost a decade at this point, I agree with every single one of your points in this video, and like you said, you didnt even delve into the rabbit hole of how shady Roblox as a company or some of the developer studios can be. Roblox is more rampant with pedophiles than frickin Friday Night Funkin is. The one major reason I still stay on roblox is because I'm in too deep to leave now. And I suppose despite all the shit, it still does have some of my favourite games ever.
7:14 hearing the hollow knight ost while peter gets kidnapped by a bunch of fortnite cards in roblox is a experience that i would never think of,and i played undertale 2 (no not deltarune the one which came out in 2021 as a april fools joke) fully and thought comedy reached its peak

It's also inspired by spookys jumpscare mansion
I'd also bet on it being inspired by Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion as well, which isn't a bad thing, being inspired and borrowing concepts isn't an issue.
I played rooms a bunch with friends years ago it's crazy how apparent the influence is
The creators of DOORS had another game before it, "Find the Trollfaces".

@@Spooky_Magooky but that’s exactly why kids and adults that doesn’t know about gaming are still playing those games, despite being predatory. I remember that copyright actually did come after Roblox once
Pokemon brick bronze was shut down by the pokemon company
Twice, actually.
Roblox disabled most audios because of players adding copyrighted audios.
That happened... uh... 2 years ago? Maybe 3 years ago but I don't quite remember.
The worst part is as an ex-Brick Bronze frequent, that game was very not predatory. I think the only time you ever had to pay ANYTHING on that game was during it’s beta stage to gain access to the game, and all of those players got rewarded for spending the money after the fact. It seems companies only target the morally acceptable copyright infringement somehow and it’s infuriating

@@EpicGamerTrustMe At least it's not as petty as Dream's long goofy tweet lol
"Robloxing it up" is possible the best thing you've ever said in a video ever.
This video is honestly really accurate, and it just hurts to watch one video after another that expose the whole truth about the platform, especially after the videos PMG made.
agreed, it truly hurts knowing that a well-made passion project will never reach the success of a gambling dopamine game
it is what it is
That dont stop me from trying cuz idc bout fame i jus wanna make shitty driving games lmao
What are your games, if you don't mind me asking? Your disdain for microtransactions has me interested.

Arcane Odyssey is good but I heavily recommend world of magic which was the original game before it became arcane Odyssey.
I was also thinking about storage space too.

Seems like the system flipped on itself. If I do spend money on robux today, it’s still just for avatar items.

They also banned Mario Kart Tour outright, didn't they?

As a kid myself, i think you should let them play roblox if they want to. but monitor what games they play

TLDR: Play Ultrakill
TLDR: The Roblox Corporation sucks.
TLDR: I know it was already said but PLEASE play ultrakill 🙏

It takes real balls to do that as a kid, and kids just want to fit in, feel approval, and smile with their friends" feels way too real, rn many people are going to roll with so much not okay stuff and let what they think depend on others opinions just so they can keep the approval of probably the wrong people.

hi, roblox "veteran" and avid yakkocmn watcher here. ngl i think this is one of the most comprehensive videos covering this platform that i've seen. while i still find adult men playing shitty frontpage games funny, i appreciate that you took the time to look deeper into the games the platform offers. in response to some of the things bought up:
- yeah, its a shame all the good games are buried by dopamine-destroying simulators. a lot of the appeal for older players are these more high quality games, yet the sheer quantity of children to other ages severely boosts the popularity of the more "addictive" games. however there are some good games that recieve the attention they deserve, most notably deepwoken which averages 10k players on a good day and is imo the best game on the website
- the reason there are so many games with copyright-infringing material is because of the reach of the platform; if something blows up and you have the skill making a quick, low-effort game will almost always attract young players who may be less aware of any microtransactions. its not ethical but given how horribly they pay developers its a necessary evil
- the reason there are so many games with long grinds is because of a feature where, if people with roblox premium (a subscription service that provides multiple benefits both outside and in games) play your game for a long amount of time you gain extra profits. therefore games will add extra benefits for premium users to entice them, and make the grind for content long and arduous to drive up these numbers
i wish you would've covered how out of touch the company is with its community as its been an issue for years and genuinely affects people's enjoyment of the game, but i get this isnt meant to be a comprehensive review. cool video anyway, and i definitely wasnt expecting you to cover the platform nevermind in this much detail

To bad all these games are buired beneath shitty games

It's just a bummer that most high quality games on Roblox are so hard to find, and as a result, are super underrated and have small playerbases. There's some real talented developers in the community that makes these amazing games but because nobody finds or plays them they're sometimes conditioned to stop working on them. I'd highly recommend you to play some of these games listed below as I didn't see you play them:|
-Black Magic II: Phantom's Causatum, one of the best fighting games on roblox with original characters and all.
I have some because I am obsessed with this
Make Your Own Army - the graphics are so cute tbh, not p2w (ish) its a strat(ish) game, but its not really high quality if not more of a passion project
Deepwoken better

Me waiting for the part 2 city story update that's coming out in the next 293773 year
Brick Bronze was the first pokemon game I'd ever played, still play looming legacy but not as invested.

I hate those games, they are the same old boring gameplay so nah
My nephews are addicted to it, so I wanted to see what it is. Today I introduced by older nephew to Starcraft, and he really got into it. I'm really proud.
The first time I ever saw anything about Roblox, my little sister was playing a game where the objective was to set up a lemonade stand and to quite literally BEG for money. No matter what good things I hear about Roblox, that first impression will stick forever.
LOL what was the name?
@DJRandomMixes it's probably adopt me or please donate.
My first time was in 2014 playing some hide an seek game as a guest with unlockable characters and giant maps, and then I played a bunch of Pokemon fangames.
@@DJVideso i think it is pls donate

Getting an autoclicker to skip a paywall? Based.

16:54 oh come on, man.

1. Phighting - phighting is a 5v5 where you can select out of a cool genre of characters
2. Vh3 - from the guy who mad vh2 or vh1 vh3 is stupid fun and is a pvp horror game! It is stupid fun
3. Dingus - it's basically a deception game try to act like an NPC game and try to complete your tasks or be the hunter to find the players
Roblox was so fun as a kid i made a ton of friends. I still come back to it now and then to play mini golf, zombies, paintball, and other classics.
personally, one of my favourite games on roblox is entry point.
@@ViciousVinnyD I have tried that. I show him a good game, he enjoys it, plays it for a day or two, then just goes back to shitty simulator games.
@@CollinWitlox Yeah it takes a bit more than a day to actually pick up interest with a game. Problem with those simulators is how god damn addictive they are.

Ugh *thank you!!* 🙌 Been wanting to see a vid like this one.
Try arcane odyssey

I'm glad I grew up and played Roblox when It wasn't as predatory toward kids, and their parents credit cards🎉

roblox is cool and all, but no lie i lived off Factor_ for like a year. I'm disabled and really can't cook (like, *physically* can't) and it's genuinely good food. I only had to stop because of the price and the fact that the delivery boxes were piling up in my house lol now I have to get TV dinners again and have *those* boxes pile up instead 🙃
also, glad to know I'm not the only one who left the "tutorial" sky island without finding the starter shirt XD
9:24 that “CHIPOTLE PORKCHOP” had me dyin bruh
I would say that less than 1% of the big games are good, but not as known games are often enjoyable because they don't advertise it on the platform and feed it to more people.
I knew better to spend money on items to skip the grind and I also knew my mom wasn’t gonna let that fly. Looking back, simulators and tycoons gotta be the biggest useless time sinks I’ve ever wasted my time on but I never got deep into them. Murder Mystery 2, Elemental battle grounds, Jailbreak and random obbys were what I spent most of my time on
