I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

You are just killing me with this story. So funny! First of all, the button you were given in the MRI machine was for people who freak out in there. In other words, it was designed just for you. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 (I'm fine now), I had to get a breast MRI and breast MRI biopsies. That was an uncomfortably strange experience. So, who knows? They may have a special labial MRI machine. If they don't, after this video, I'm sure they'll build one. You look gorgeous in this makeup. Thanks for the video!💚

I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and have had dozens and dozens of MRIs in my day and I think every time is easier, I just take a snooze now. I envision it as being in a space ship or some sort of futuristic tube lol.
I recall my first time they put the plugs in my ears, pads over my head, and then put my head in 2 cages and I was a bit worried and they told me the cage is to protect people's faces if they panic and sit up quickly and bonk their heads lol. I remember that notion being almost a bit funny and it calmed me down. I also remember my dry shampoo and underarm deodorant feeling very hot.
I also forgot to remove a piercing under my mask during covid and that was a bit of a surprise!
I'm glad to hear you are fine! Hopefully such things are behind you for good and your MRI experiences are a thing of the past. 💛
@@genevieveve Wishing you the same, and that you make a full recovery. ❤One thing I am happy for is those new MRI machines that are open on the sides. They couldn't use them for the stuff I mentioned above, but for many other MRIs they can. I had one and was listening to music and looking out a window from the side of the machine. Big improvement. But you have to know they exist to request one. Otherwise, it's the tube. Sending you hopes for good health and a long, happy life.💚
@@genevieveve I don’t think I could ever fall asleep in an mri! Way too noisy….I’ve had loads, inc two on my head (trigeminal neuralgia and more recently for peripheral neuropathy). I had to stop myself jigging around in the last one so bad, as they always put the radio on and it was Toto’s Africa….I could feel myself tapping along and you are meant to be so still…
I was cracking up and about choked on my rice. Lol i completely visualized it all. To your husbands credit, I am a nurse and I’ve taken more people than I can count to MRI and they all only had a gown.
Brilliant 👏 idea for your daughter. She will remember that in the future to help her calm down. Hats off to you Charlotte a great mom. I love your humor you're a hoot.

I'm 30 yrs old and have had (I think) eight MRI's to monitor my benign brain tumor and I STILL forget all the protocols! Mine are always an hour long so your 30 mins seems like heaven lol

I left a piercing in my face under a mask during covid once and that was quite a surprise!
Even after dozens of MRIs, I always forget protocol too. But I do think they get easier every time.

I’m an imaging tech since 1995 and I’m mortified at how rude your tech was! The metal jewelry can be pulled out or get very hot if they’re ferromagnetic, but nothing will go into your body or decapitate you, I promise! I have a bunch of tattoos also, and they can get hot but won’t burn you badly. You won’t catch fire or get scarring. I’m about to fly over there and chew this tech out! The panic button is for people who are claustrophobic and need a break, I think this lady was either mean or had a horrible sadistic sense of humor. I promise, most of us went into healthcare to help people and really have good hearts. It sounds like this lady needs to hang it up and retire. I feel so bad for you getting her as your tech. Thank you for a good story to tell colleagues now, though! Next time ask for a Valium first, it makes scans much, much easier.

🤣😅🤣 I almost poked myself in the eye with mascara this morning while listening to this. You had me cracking up so much I could not apply my eye makeup without wrinkles in it. The predictive text story was hugely relatable! I once texted my sister in law that she has a problem with her listening skills and that it must run in the family... Of course meant for my husband. 😲😫 WTF do they have that stupid "unsend" function for if it doesn't work?? That was years ago and I think she still has not forgiven me... OMG Still chuckling over all the stories 🤭Thank you for making my day! Btw you look the most beautiful I think I have ever seen you. You def don't need the full coverage but I do think the lighter shade foundation and lighter bronzer really suit you. You look so fresh and youthful!!

I had to giggle as you shared your MRI story. I have had so many “Adventures in Healthcare” that I could really relate. When I have MRIs, I try to zone out and imagine that I am at Paris or NYC Fashion Week with flashing lights, music, and packed in like sardines. And … never open my eyes during the scan. It is wonderful that you picked up the LE Rain lipstick. I have quite a few of her lippies and it is my favorite. You are such a great story teller. Thanks for making me laugh on a day when the minutia of life’s road bumps were getting to me.

I have had many MRIs in my life and that is absolutely true. Tattoos color has iron which may burn under MRI and turn your skin red. Especially careful if you ladies do microblading, this kind of scan can leave a scar on your skin. So it is important to check the color of microblading ingredients to ensure there is no iron in there as it turns red under heat or such scan procedures. But I truly enjoyed the way you explained the whole process, you are super funny. I know exactly what you experienced in there, minus...the radio music. ;)

Omg Charlotte THANK YOU. I've been bed ridden for 3 weeks now after having suffered a seizure and concussion (at work, thank goodness my colleagues were around and knew how to react), and I am not the type to stay in bed, I hate it with every fiber of my being. But my point is, it's been pretty grim. Your video, the way you tell stories, made me HOWL with laughter, almost pee myself, and severely alarm my husband (what is she *doing* in there 🧐). 😂🤣😂 I absolutely needed that!!! A few years ago I was treated for breast cancer and they put me through every scan, ray, or beam known to man, from head to toe!! I know exactly what you're talking about! Except with contrast, one or two that light up?! You never get used to it... 😏 All good now.❣️ So I've heard the Gucci foundation is pretty much the same as the new KVD without the fragrance. I have the Gucci bronzer #2, with a light hand (light cool-toned) it's beautiful 😍 Thanks for sharing & giving us a good laugh!!! 🤍🤍🤍

I was trying to think of a recent embarrassing story to share. I remembered that last summer when I was in Paris I wasn’t paying attention and walked across one of those grates on the ground that blows up an ungodly amount of air onto anyone unfortunate enough to walk across. Why do these exist?!? 😂 My long skirt was lifted above my head before I could even realize what was going on, revealing my knickers to all the parisians and tourists. And I mean ALL the way up. I was so thrown I screamed for my boyfriend to help me 🤣🤣 and we still laugh about my not-so-Marilyn-Monroe moment all the time 🤣🙈

I did a fair amount of tanning beds in college, so I’ve learned in these machines to close my eyes and take deep breaths and pretend I’m tanning in a tiny container, haha. The fuzzy radio part of your story was hilarious!

Charlotte you are GLORIOUS ! Love the look of your skin i need to know everything about your skin care please. My skin always looks so dry no matter what I do. I even got the TF foundation which looks fabulous but still my skin seems to soak the dewiness of the foundation almost completely up .. like wth am I doing wrong ? I do hydrate my skin night and day, CT serum at night etc etc .. doesn’t seem to make any difference 😅 I’m confused.
Love your stories and I was having a stomach ache while listening to your MRI scan story .. this clearly is the worst nightmare to a claustrophobic ! I would die the first minute in for sure 😅

That was such a great story! I am not usually an anxious person and I'm not claustrophobic but, I had an MRI and it was terrifying. I had to channel every Zen meditation trick in the book to avoid freaking out.

I had a hip labral tear but it was so painful I literally couldn’t go up the stairs and I felt better the day after surgery than I had for the entire year before!!! I’m glad yours isn’t causing too much pain and I hope it stays that way!!!

I'm a nurse. Because we do so many of these things day by day, some of us, unfortunately, forget that it's often the first time for the patient. I'm sorry that you had that experience and that they didn't put you at ease. The fact is, you were absolutely fine in there but it's not fair that they didn't reassure you.
I am a sarcastic girl, and always use humour when I am uncomfortable or nervous. sometimes I am funny, and other times I am hilarious!

Definitely the Left Hand side (as we look at the video - so my left) looks to be smoother and more balanced for sure. I LOVE the RAIN lipstick on you alone, and when you added the Dancing Rose gloss it just made it even better (if that's even possible!) - Brilliant choice 👍
Oh you make me giggle, I can so relate to the MRI story. I went for an MRI with contrast on my brain, I got there and they are insisting quite forcibly that they are scanning my leg. In the end I asked them who had referred me, they said consultant neurologist, I asked very sarcastically if they thought a neurologist would want my leg or brain scanned? As a result of my MRI I needed a lumbar puncture, I turned up and I kid you not they wanted to start my liver biopsy as soon as they could. Ummm no no no, my liver is fine and dandy, my noggin is the problem, please just do a lumber puncture 😂 The anxiety Charlotte, I changed hospital's, before they accidentally amputated my arm!

Unfortunately I have had too many scans for any person and it's been different every time. I loved getting the plastic surgery question because I clearly haven't had any and she kept saying after ever other question, "are you sure you haven't had any plastic surgery", literally 4 times after the initial one. I have never been asked about tattoos, but I had the same attitude and was told I could possibly die from when I stabbed myself in the eye with scissors from when I when a child and I cut myself a fringe 🤯🤯 in one of my MRI, I had to press the button and they didn't come in and told me off for moving my hand after and I was like " I was pressing the button in the best way I could", so I got more attitude because they had to do it again, no concern about the fact that I needed to press the button. Well done, I am completely there with you feeling that way with MRI (and NHS). Hope you do manage to get some relief with your potential labia tear ❤❤❤❤

I am now only wearing glosses from Lisa. My fave so far in the new colour is sorcery. It is browner than the lipstick and I am totally in love! I have almost all of her collection of lipsticks and glosses except the very pink o or very dark and cold tones. I am so in love with everything she does! This golden Tone is making your GREEN EYES POP! Tom Ford is way better looking and more blurry. Love TF!
Your story is hilarious and so relatable. I recently had radiation for breast cancer and one time the machine stopped above me ( inches away ) for longer than normal and I was certain that I was about to vaporize so I started to wiggle my foot hoping they would see my impending panic , they didn’t, there was a glitch in the program and started up again . Terrifying
