I have several hard to open products, I use the opposite end of a tweezer to pry it open, it’s easy, works great and no issue with gouging the product with your nails if by some chance you get it open with your hands. Great video! I appreciate an honest review. ❤

I stay at home a lot and I like putting the CT stick tint on my face after applying my skincare. I do my brows and apply some lipstick/balm and I am good for the rest of the day. I feel 'put together' without a lot of makeup on my face. For me, the CT stick is just perfect.
I’m another 73 year old lady who loves the CT stick! I love the glow, I don’t find it too glowy at all. I put more time into makeup than I did when I was younger, and I just love playing!

This is SOOO enjoyable to watch. I really like the Natasha Denona face palette. I use the bronzers as matte eyeshadow with one of the shimmer eyeshadows and the blushes just happen to work for me (I am the palest of the pale). Fair points, though! I will giggle every time I use it now. Such a fun watch!
I do like the ND face palette BUT i also agree it could've been done SO much better. Maybe 3 palettes for the contour shades, a matte and glowy blush, and a highlight, or an eyeshadow that could dbl as a highlight. That pan doesn't need to be huge!

I RARELY return makeup, but I immediately returned that fenty highlighter. It was so glittery and way too shiny. The name was extremely misleading. Also, I’m not sure what’s going on with Natasha Denona but I haven’t been able to purchase a single item from her this year. Nothing came deep enough, especially that awful face palette nor the gold palette. Even the deepest shade in the highlighter trio was too light. Thanks for the laughs and for saying what a lot of us are thinking 🤣

Oh, I DO love that Fenty Demi’Glow highlighter!!! Mine came intact (thankfully) and it gives the most lovely glass skin look if you use a small amount and really blend it in. You can’t tell where it starts and stops; it just looks like radiant, glowy skin. I use it on all my high points. It is my all-time favorite highlighter, and I have a whole drawer full of highlighters. Different strokes for different folks 😊
You know I saw you are wearing Lisa Eldridge’s Vega palette. I like to see what people use when they aren’t doing any new makeup reviews. It lets me know what people still really love. I see Lisa Eldridge’s makeup a lot in descriptions. I never bought her palettes but Vega and Sorcery are my 1st two.
Oddly, as someone who doesn’t like a lot of glow, I absolutely love the CT stick 😂 however I also don’t like wearing foundation anymore, and absolutely agree it’s not a “foundation” and probably should have been marketed as a skin tint.
Hi Charlotte! Love a good rant😂 I keep one of each size coin in my vanity. Whenever I can’t open a palette, and Nars is notorious for this, I insert one of the coins in the slot and twist. The stubborn palette will open. I’ve saved a lot of nails using this method. I don’t know what your coins look like, but usually a U.S. penny or dime works well. I longer slot might require a quarter, but it’s rare. I hope you find this helpful. 😊 Still laughing….😂
Well in this category I say the Secret Garden Palette from Bella Beaute I had so many expectations for this palette but when I tried the shimmers were so so glittery I have used duochrome and trio chrome shadow before but omg this palette was a total deception all my face my cloth was full of glitter 😢

Im getting to my 40s (10th August) and the more I look at all my makeup I realize that I have things I have never even tried.. so I listen to you very much so that I can also save a lot..but for me the face palette from ND works great (in fair to light medium) and for contour or eyes I use all the shades so it paid off for me but I agree it should have had more options for other skin tones as well.. the trio highlighter I knew I wasn’t gonna pick it up for that same reason. The Dior bronzers are a joke…and that NARS palette is kids proof and women’s proof so…it’s a no thank you very easy for me 😂😂😂😂 We could see how pissed you were getting and we were as well 😂😂😂😂

This Charlotte product is for those teens and even those tweens with good skin who shop at Sephora. My 18yo is blessed with good skin ( I was never and am still not at 57!). She got a gc and couldn’t wait to get this for the occasion she wears makeup and it looks beautiful. Not sure that’s a large enough audience to make it stay around. I agree, I think this will phase out.
I heard great thing about Fenty’s Demi glow highlighter. Agreed makeup is subjective and personal. I was so so disappointed in that Dior release. Like the ND face palette they missed the mark. I typically like ND highlighters but I had a bad feeling about it 😂. I love love NARS eye shadow formula. I just wish the pallets didn’t all look similar. I believe NARS is experiencing quality issues as well. I have the ultimate face pallet which is difficult to open as well. Beautiful packaging, great formula just hard to open. Also some of my foundations can tend to get a little messy, and recently the hinges and my. Blushes in the older formula are breaking. I haven’t tried the CT foundation stick. It seems like people love or hate it. I’m going to take chance on that one! Great review! Love you content and oppinion
Honestly, for any product other than perhaps something that takes years to go through, e.g. an eyeshadow palette, I think the principle should be that they hope consumers will think the product is wonderful and the producer will be nice enough to let us have several years with it before we're forced to go looking for something else. But of course that's anathema to the modern makeup industry that seems to rely on us always buying the next thing and certainly more than we could ever use before everything expires.
I'm using the CT stick and I love it but I'm using a lot more concealer than I normally would though. I agree its flawless filter in a stick but the finish is pretty and I find it really handy using the stick. ❤️

That Natasha Denona face palette is my favorite on the go palette! The colors are perfect on my light neutral skin tone. Not everything made is going to be made for everyone. Maybe the next one she comes out with will only be for medium to dark skin tones.

BTW I saw once an eye tutorial by Natasha Denona with that face palette and loved it but I think I can do similar with I need a nude and mini starlette without buying a while new palette.

Hey girl 👋, I'm one of those people. I only have used the unreal stick for a base since it's launch I love it. Will say I do use powder to take down the shine in certain places. I don't have blemishes or anything so that might be a help to why I like it. I hear you tho, I would never say you are wrong.
I love the natasha denona palette. I use the eye shadows in pairs or as one and done eyeshadows. The cheek products suit my skin tone as well so i love it! 😅😅😅
Once I’m burned by a company, I’m done with them. The Dior blush is an example. They must think we are complete idiots. STOP giving them money PEOPLE. Lancôme burned me with an expensive eye palette that looked so pretty. Every color in it had zero color payoff. I mean NONE. Never went back. NARS has lived off what they did 10+ years ago. If they can’t figure out that we’re not going to buy the same colors, same blushes over and over and over again…that’s on them. And while we’re on the NARS subject even if we want to buy the same thing for years we’re so bored and offended with the sexual names. It cheapens the line and our makeup is not about getting banged. We just want to look nice. How about not reducing women trying to look beautiful to sexual objects. What 12 year old without money is impressed? For this reason, I don’t buy from them and I actually like their blushes, bronzers and some eye shadows. Now who’s ranting?!? 😂
Hi, Charlotte! I must confess (that my loneliness... nevermind haha😅) that I do use the CT "foundation" stick daily. The first time I used it with just a bit of concealer, and I loved the glow it gave me. Now I mix it with a teeny-tiny bit of my foundation to correct the undertone, apply the new blushes, and I feel really flattered. And with the ND highlighter trio it’s the same story. I use the third shade on my eyes and can’t wait to get a tan to see how it looks lightly applied on my cheeks. I suppose I’m into the extreme glow this year✨. I want to try the CT “foundation” but you make a very good point about it being discontinued so now I’m not sure I should bother trying it now! I really wanted the ND face palette but just waited to see reviews and it just didn’t appeal any more. There’s a colour in the eye shadows that I really like so I’m going to see if I can go and find a very similar one as a single. I know it is y new new but I really do t like the ND concealer. I was so excited about it and it just just agree with me. Charlotte is love to hear if there were any perfumes that grew on you over time or if there were any that now you have used them that you just feel you wouldn’t repurchase again.
Love these videos and your rants 😂. The only product I have is the Dior bronzer and I love it 🙊 It’s the first bronzer from the brand I have and I love the luxe packaging, scent and product. It’s a beautiful sunkissed color on me. Granted the “blush” really doesn’t show up but I like to swirl my brush around and it applies beautifully.
I have the ND Hyper natural palette and have to admit - it's not my favorite either and I'm a huge fan of ND. Love your videos, I really look forward to them.

Thanks for this video!!! I hate the Chanel primer as much as you! I had a totally different experience with the Dior bronzer and I love mine. But I’m a shade 0N in their foundation and when I swatch them all on my arm there is a big difference. I agree tho, if ppl were trying to use the colors seperately there is no hope. I use the product as one unit. Weirdly enough Dior scents don’t bother me but Chanel does so all their blushes and bronzers that came out this year while I thought looked beautiful, my skin reacted so were a hate for me.
LOVE your videos ... no matter what you review, you always have me until the very end. I have the Nars eyeshadow palette. Mine also takes some effort to open, but it's not as bad as yours. I bought it because I did not have Nars shadows (LOVE their lip and cheek products) and typically love these shades. I do find the mattes TOO pigmented and the sparkly shades, flake off and add sparkle under my eyes as well. NOT what I want from a shadow. Would not repurchase knowing this. So many nicer shadows out there.
I have the ND eyeshadow palette. Fair skin toned, but how I use it is one and done eyeshadow, if I need a matte I use the countour shades, but agree it might not be for everyone
I think I use the CT stick similarly to you. I like it and use it sometimes but I can get a glow from other products. The big thing is: I wouldn’t repurchase. I think that’s the test for a good product. This was such a fun (for me) video. I saved lots of 💵 thanks to your steering me away from some of these products.
Hi Charlotte! Do you still have first edition Lisa Eldridge Lip Gloss? I bought the "first edition" and used it for ages. I recently purchased another one and i feel like i hit the bottom very quickly! The current one is 4.5ml. I feel like the first edition had more in it?! Or am i being paranoid...
You really crack me up! You’re so uncomfortable being negative and it’s just so endearing ❤I’ve had better luck being more discerning this year so not too many fails for me. The only thing I really hated recently was the Merit matte lipsticks. I was convinced by all the rave reviews that said they were comfortable and not drying. I tried one and it was horrible. Felt ok at first application and became drier and drier as it wore and looked very crusty. I have learned my lesson. The only matte lipsticks I can use are Charlotte Tilbury and Maybelline crayons. Fun video!
The one and only product I bought that really let me down terribly in '24 has been Danessa Myrick's Yummy Serum Skin Tint in #6. 1.) It looks paler than my own skin when first applied, but half an hour to an hour later, it has me looking like an Oompah Lumpa! 2.) And if I break even a little tiny bit of sweat, I'll wind up with paler dots wherever I had sweat breakthrough! 3.) It wears quite unevenly, too. Then again, I do live in the Phoenix Arizona metro area. However, March and April are not that hot, so I suppose it just doesn't work with my skin chemistry? IDK? Nars palette hack that I discovered via sheer frustration and whatnot: Cheap metal fake Tweezerman tweezers pinched together un-jams mine each and every time! Better than busting one of my fingernails. I totally understand the fury that would make one want to dash the stupidly, uselessly designed thing at a wall, though. 😅

That Natasha Denona face palette is my favorite on the go palette! The colors are perfect on my light neutral skin tone. Not everything made is going to be made for everyone. Maybe the next one she comes out with will only be for medium to dark skin tones.

I just love you brutal honesty. I have couple of these items and I strongly agree with you a waste of money . I wish all influencers tell us honest review first hand not after we bought the product because of their recommendation and changed their mind after a couple of months.
Hey girl 👋, I'm one of those people. I only have used the unreal stick for a base since it's launch I love it. Will say I do use powder to take down the shine in certain places. I don't have blemishes or anything so that might be a help to why I like it. I hear you tho, I would never say you are wrong.
I love the natasha denona palette. I use the eye shadows in pairs or as one and done eyeshadows. The cheek products suit my skin tone as well so i love it! 😅😅😅
Once I’m burned by a company, I’m done with them. The Dior blush is an example. They must think we are complete idiots. STOP giving them money PEOPLE. Lancôme burned me with an expensive eye palette that looked so pretty. Every color in it had zero color payoff. I mean NONE. Never went back. NARS has lived off what they did 10+ years ago. If they can’t figure out that we’re not going to buy the same colors, same blushes over and over and over again…that’s on them. And while we’re on the NARS subject even if we want to buy the same thing for years we’re so bored and offended with the sexual names. It cheapens the line and our makeup is not about getting banged. We just want to look nice. How about not reducing women trying to look beautiful to sexual objects. What 12 year old without money is impressed? For this reason, I don’t buy from them and I actually like their blushes, bronzers and some eye shadows. Now who’s ranting?!? 😂

Hi, Charlotte! I must confess (that my loneliness... nevermind haha😅) that I do use the CT "foundation" stick daily. The first time I used it with just a bit of concealer, and I loved the glow it gave me. Now I mix it with a teeny-tiny bit of my foundation to correct the undertone, apply the new blushes, and I feel really flattered. And with the ND highlighter trio it’s the same story. I use the third shade on my eyes and can’t wait to get a tan to see how it looks lightly applied on my cheeks. I suppose I’m into the extreme glow this year✨. I want to try the CT “foundation” but you make a very good point about it being discontinued so now I’m not sure I should bother trying it now!
I really wanted the ND face palette but just waited to see reviews and it just didn’t appeal any more. There’s a colour in the eye shadows that I really like so I’m going to see if I can go and find a very similar one as a single.
I know it is y new new but I really do t like the ND concealer. I was so excited about it and it just just agree with me.
Charlotte is love to hear if there were any perfumes that grew on you over time or if there were any that now you have used them that you just feel you wouldn’t repurchase again.
That Chanel primer is part of permanent exclusives, so this was a special edition one. But i agree: thrilled to try it, turnt out to be not much
Love these videos and your rants 😂. The only product I have is the Dior bronzer and I love it 🙊 It’s the first bronzer from the brand I have and I love the luxe packaging, scent and product. It’s a beautiful sunkissed color on me. Granted the “blush” really doesn’t show up but I like to swirl my brush around and it applies beautifully.
I have the ND Hyper natural palette and have to admit - it's not my favorite either and I'm a huge fan of ND. Love your videos, I really look forward to them.

Thanks for this video!!! I hate the Chanel primer as much as you! I had a totally different experience with the Dior bronzer and I love mine. But I’m a shade 0N in their foundation and when I swatch them all on my arm there is a big difference. I agree tho, if ppl were trying to use the colors seperately there is no hope. I use the product as one unit. Weirdly enough Dior scents don’t bother me but Chanel does so all their blushes and bronzers that came out this year while I thought looked beautiful, my skin reacted so were a hate for me.
LOVE your videos ... no matter what you review, you always have me until the very end. I have the Nars eyeshadow palette. Mine also takes some effort to open, but it's not as bad as yours. I bought it because I did not have Nars shadows (LOVE their lip and cheek products) and typically love these shades. I do find the mattes TOO pigmented and the sparkly shades, flake off and add sparkle under my eyes as well. NOT what I want from a shadow. Would not repurchase knowing this. So many nicer shadows out there.
I have the ND eyeshadow palette. Fair skin toned, but how I use it is one and done eyeshadow, if I need a matte I use the countour shades, but agree it might not be for everyone
Ahhh the ND palette ...I love the middle shade sun glow but I can't buy it for one shade. I would love a single shade of it too!

I think I use the CT stick similarly to you. I like it and use it sometimes but I can get a glow from other products. The big thing is: I wouldn’t repurchase. I think that’s the test for a good product. This was such a fun (for me) video. I saved lots of 💵 thanks to your steering me away from some of these products.
Hi Charlotte! Do you still have first edition Lisa Eldridge Lip Gloss? I bought the "first edition" and used it for ages. I recently purchased another one and i feel like i hit the bottom very quickly! The current one is 4.5ml. I feel like the first edition had more in it?! Or am i being paranoid...

You really crack me up! You’re so uncomfortable being negative and it’s just so endearing ❤I’ve had better luck being more discerning this year so not too many fails for me. The only thing I really hated recently was the Merit matte lipsticks. I was convinced by all the rave reviews that said they were comfortable and not drying. I tried one and it was horrible. Felt ok at first application and became drier and drier as it wore and looked very crusty. I have learned my lesson. The only matte lipsticks I can use are Charlotte Tilbury and Maybelline crayons. Fun video!

The one and only product I bought that really let me down terribly in '24 has been Danessa Myrick's Yummy Serum Skin Tint in #6. 1.) It looks paler than my own skin when first applied, but half an hour to an hour later, it has me looking like an Oompah Lumpa! 2.) And if I break even a little tiny bit of sweat, I'll wind up with paler dots wherever I had sweat breakthrough! 3.) It wears quite unevenly, too. Then again, I do live in the Phoenix Arizona metro area. However, March and April are not that hot, so I suppose it just doesn't work with my skin chemistry? IDK?
Nars palette hack that I discovered via sheer frustration and whatnot: Cheap metal fake Tweezerman tweezers pinched together un-jams mine each and every time! Better than busting one of my fingernails. I totally understand the fury that would make one want to dash the stupidly, uselessly designed thing at a wall, though. 😅
