I've been golfing for 30 years, and this is what I feel like I've been missing. When you said at the end of the video how she had resigned herself to being a bad golfer for the rest of her life, it really resonated with me because that is exactly how I feel. I make some really amazing shots on the course, but then, all of a sudden, I apparently completely forget how to make contact with the ball and hit horribly embarrassing shots of every variety. Skulled, fat, pop flies to the pitcher, straight left, straight right... but I think this is what will finally help. So much of what you were teaching in this video is what I believe I've been missing. I can't wait to get done at work and go straight to the driving range! I'm only a few weeks into my golf league, and so far I've dreaded going every Thursday, but you've given me hope, and I can't thank you enough. You have a pure and bright spirit, and I love watching your videos. I'm a guy that teaches at a max level state prison, and I may or may not have started watching your videos for reasons other than purely golf. However, I've become a real fan of yours now because of your personality, free spirit, positivity, and content like this that I truly believe will finally change my game and allow me to enjoy golf rather than just endure it. Thank you, Claire.

What a fantastic job! Beats the majority of UA-cam golf swing instructors I've seen. I'm probably stating the obvious but starting at the 10:05 mark with the slow motion before and after (left side / right side splits), play that slow motion swing at 25 % speed. If you can pause when the clubhead is approximately at the ball the night and day difference in the hips clearing is incredible. Also, the side bend is maintained so well in the after. Golfers at all levels can learn from this.

Claire……you are an amazing woman and coach. Your positivity and ability to share your knowledge is the best. There are a lot of coaches who can see mistakes and know what the student needs to do but if they cannot transfer that knowledge in a way that the student can internalize it and use it, then no help is really given. That ability to help the student see and feel it rather than just intellectually understand it is a skill or talent that sets you apart from many other coaches. You go girl.

I have a makeshift indoor hitting bay set up at home, so I put your advice to the test right away, and words can't describe, in fact, no words have ever described the golf swing the way your do. You said it's more geared for ladies I guess I'm a ladies' man because it worked just fine for me, and I'm a male in my 50s But definitely not built like Kepka, and honestly, the swing you described in this video is the swing I've been searching for all my life. so great job on teaching your friend I hope you keep making more videos like this and I'm sure your audience will keep watching thanks

Claire with the golf swing I love. Not only a good golfer but it seems the makings of a good coach. That was absolutely a great watch. Thank you Claire, I learnt a lot about how I can improve my own weight transfer to be able to swing free with a better feel. I've always loved how Claire has been able to compress the ball. Her explanation was clear, understandable and so positive. I've had a pro work on improving my swing but to me it seemed complicated and to technical with no talk about feel. I was looking for a weight tranfer drill video. I didn’t even want to click on this video as the thumbnail looked so “influencer-ly” and then came the shoe sponsor ad, and I was like ok, I’m outta here. But I gave a it a chance, and her analysis of the tense swing and stiff arms was so spot on. What a pleasant surpise! I think a big problem in golf teaching is that coaches make you think about a bunch of static positions, with tension level at 1000% and no room for a free flowing motion as you’d have in any other sport (except maybe chess 😅). She really breaks it down perfectly here, well done!

At 11:35ish CH, you describe left and right shifting. Then COG, center of gravity. 👍🏼👍🏼 it's one of the basic fundamentals of the golf swing. It was put to me when I started it out at the age of 12 to "stay in the cylinder! " Don't let either "rail", (our sides) as you say, go outside the imaginary cylinder walls that we're in from address to follow through...

Something that has really helped me get “through” the ball is to focus on a spot a couple inches ahead of the ball. That way your swing/body moves through the shot. I don’t even look at the ball prior to swinging.
When you focus on the ball your body stops turning because it’s accomplished hitting the ball/your objective.
Really this simple task accomplishes everything you are teaching

Yes. EVERY person out there could use more hip rotation, and right side bend through impact. Unfortunately, my hip flexors, and lower back aren’t very flexible. But,, the more I can do both of these things, the better I play. Period. The open hips(left hip BACK, and out of the way) allows you to release the arms and club freely towards the target, just like Claire said. And the right side bend makes it so much easier to control the face. No more trying to control a flip, and roll of the hands to time the release just right. Phenomenal video, Claire. You explained this perfectly.

At the top pause and let gravity start dropping that club, once you feel it naturally dropping is when i say to pop to your left side or right either or lefty righty, drop the booty back a hair to free up space and allow you to turn freely and not get stuck and fire the hips rest will follow around and watch her fly! Good solid advice!

I haven't really had weight transfer broken down for me like this. I struggle with it and so does my brother, but can never have it really explained what we are doing wrong. I am for sure going to the range tomorrow and record some swings and try working on my transfer.

Great lesson Claire, both swings are so good. I struggle with swing path and face delivery. Going to be practicing these drills this week. Cheers :)
