    Front & rear bars = amazing grip.
    Ran rear bars for yrs on mk5 , mk6 , mk7. Never wanting to do front because its more PITA then rears.
    But i bit to bullet and did fronts , never will i do rears only.
    The 2 together totally transforms the car. 👍

    Man I love your GTI content, can you do an upgrade on the rear lights to the LED taillights and talk about the process- wiring, configuring in the system, etc. Would be great since its not a simple drop in mod and you did taillights on the Mustang.

    I have a srt4 that I track here in AZ and I think the rear sway bar is a good upgrade not just for carrying speed but more trying to get the car to rotate more in a corner …. Before I use to have to do a lot of lifting off the throttle or mess with rear tire pressures to get a good rotation… with a adjustable rear sway on the firm setting it was a little aggressive but middle setting with slight lift man what a dream on the corners !!! I wouldn’t bother with the front that can be handled with a good set of coilovers …

    Most people seem to misunderstand what a stiffer rear sway does to a fwd car: it actually reduces grip of the rear wheels.
    "Isn't that bad" you ask? Not if it makes the car more neutral. You want all the tires to lose grip at the same rate and since fwd car have more grip at the back then the front(because all they do is follow the rest of the car), you want to lower it to match the front.

      Adding a cat back would be nice too.Not too loud though

    • @PapiAndrey
      @PapiAndrey 2 роки тому +1

      @@TTGamingTrinh just a downpipe paired with the stock catback is good enough imo. The stock catback isn’t bad at all, it’ll get rid of the ricey sounds and the upgraded downpipe gives it a throaty sound. Should’ve came from the factory like that, it isn’t loud at all

    • @TTGamingTrinh
      @TTGamingTrinh 2 роки тому

    • @PapiAndrey
      @PapiAndrey 2 роки тому +1

      @@TTGamingTrinh maybe some people just don’t care, but the upgraded downpipe changes the sound coming directly off of the turbocharger and that’s the first part of the exhaust. You get some gains from that alone (even with the stock catback) and you don’t see as much of a gain with a catback with or without a downpipe- when compared to a downpipe alone. That gives most of the gains

    So what is the downside? Why isn’t a beefier sway bar stock? That’s a question that’s more obvious with other components but I don’t know the answer for a rear sway bar.

    • @ryke4552
      @ryke4552 2 роки тому

      this is a really good question that I'd like to get a better answer to. my only guess is that a beefier, stronger swaybar may cost more to mass produce for these cars

    • @iZephiroth
      @iZephiroth 2 роки тому

      It increases NVH. Most cars manufacturers favor comfort first over performance. For normal commuting and city driving the standard sway bars the car comes with are sufficient. But, not for track use or hard driving.

    • @joeyn177
      @joeyn177 2 роки тому +1

      For a front wheel drive car a beefier rear sway bar increases oversteer characteristics. Manufacturers usually prefer understeer as it is safer for inexperienced drivers. The Focus ST is an example of a hot hatch that comes stock with a slightly thicker rsb than the stock GTI, which allows it to get the rear end a bit loose around corners.

    • @PapiAndrey
      @PapiAndrey 2 роки тому +1

    Want to ask, is your downpipe 200 cell?
    If I change my stock downpipe ->(200 cell)
    Can I still keep my ECU stage1

    • @PapiAndrey
      @PapiAndrey 2 роки тому

      Sure you can keep it stage 1, but why would you do that? The whole point of stage 2 is to take advantage of the downpipe. That’s what stage 2 is. Stage one is meant for a stock car, but it’ll be fine with minor bolt ons. Plus, if you get a downpipe and keep it stage 1, you’ll get a check engine light. I would definitely go stage 2 if I got a downpipe
