Yes Monsta X rappers are not mentioned much they're so underrated with many other amazing groups p.s Once joohoney & I.M holded up a sign that said best rapper in kpop which got a lot of backlash but in my opinion it's true and I agree with you in picking a biases all members has their own aura and present which makes it hard too choose I'm a ot7 they're all precious too me but not going to lie I.M steals my heart like nobody business I love your reaction you're very entertaining also I would recommend you too listen to the boy group SHINee (Replay Lucifer [you choice]) we're the opposite tho I'm more into boy groups than girl but Red Velvet is my ultimate fav GG & Girls Generation

Monsta X are definitely considered one of the top rap lines, but sadly I think people just don't know or care enough to know about them :/ Jooheon and I.M have extensive lyric-writing, rap making histories (Jooheon is the 8th most copyrighted idol, was underground)...It's just unfortunate that MX is just overlooked in many ways than one, and people dont realize just how much they've accomplished and what trends they've set :(
And that's why i'm just so happy to see someone discover them and fall in love, because they deserve it!!!!
MONSTA X genuinely raise the standard for other idols and artists in general, performance wise and production wise. They are such a hard working/versatile group of individuals and continue to do so even though it hasn’t made them the most popular group, it just goes to show they don’t care much for popularity. I feel like people tend to over look the rapline and the group because they just simply label them “too” intense and just say that it’s not their style so they tend to just listen to their title tracks and move on from them. They are always mentioned but never mentioned as one the best due to them not being the most popular, which is pretty sad. Either way, MONSTA X don’t need to be the most popular to be one of the best, because in reality, they are one of the best out there which is why so many idols adore and admire them. Jooheon is looked up to by so many idols and underground rappers because his style is extremely professional, next level, and unique, so even if he isn’t given enough credit for what he does, at least we can appreciate him and love him ourselves. I think many know for a fact that MONSTA X have the two of the best and most unique rappers in the industry, I wouldn’t even consider them K-Pop rappers they are much more than that.

monsta x for me is kind of an overlooked group, as in people know them, hear of them, maybe know a song or two but never take some time to get to know them properly. they're my ult group (together with skz) and ive been a monbebe for 3/4 years now, i live in brazil and the fanbase for them here is significantly big, but i always see the same people, never new people coming in to stay and support them like they deserve. even if they're a big group, i feel like they're still underrated. for example, people do know kihyun and his vocals because of some viral videos on social media, they applaud him for a moment but when it comes to mention the best main vocals people always forget of him, even if it's something based on opinion i think he and the whole group should get more attention and not just that 15 minutes of fame just bc of viral videos. ok. i vented. stan monsta x!

A lot of people have already kinda talked about how MX is slept on a lot and that’s why you don’t hear them talked about and it sucks because they are so talented and hardworking! So I do wanna add that within the industry and among other idol groups they are actually really well respected and recognized for how hard working they are and it warms my multi stan heart to think about it.
If you love the rap line, you should check out Sambakja - they've only done it as a live stage, but it is...legendary.

i'll give you a little warning. once you start staning monsta x, becoming a monbebe etc there's no way out.
i swear i just checked them out some time in 2016 and i swear once you start knowing more about them and their personalities its just wow. they are so talented and hardworking. of course everyone is but monsta x is really something else.
and dont get me started with how pure souls and loving and caring they are with their fans. once you become a monbebe you really see how different is the monsta x and fans connections. probably bc we had a lot of hard times together since the begging BUT idk. anyways i just wanted to say you should really give them a chance and thank you bc you actually did. you will not regret it. monsta x are the best

But what makes them special and unique is their personalities also their bond with their fans . We are basically a family with so much love to give also we are fighters we never stopped fighting for Wonho and look at him now🥰

Yes, we’re all helpless when it comes to falling in love with them. They’re all so incredibly talented, well rounded and humble. They’ve struggled a lot with getting a sizable Korean fan base for several unfortunate reasons, and apologize a lot for things they go through and that aren’t their fault. Genuinely incredible people with just endless talent. They don’t have a single song I don’t enjoy for one reason or another. And yeah, Jooheon and Changkyun/I.M? Perhaps not mentioned a lot by kpop fans, but they’re well known and respected amongst other idols/idol groups. All of Monsta X is. Set precedents/trends for a lot of things people who aren’t fans of them just don’t know they started/had a lot to do with. I know you’ve been recommended this already, but Sambakja for the rapline truly is legendary. I’m super excited to watch your journey with them! And while I hope you put the individual guides on UA-cam I get why you’d probably put in on Patreon. I’m excited you’re doing them either way. Another thing you’ve probably heard of is the survival show they formed on, No Mercy. Monbebe/Wenee don’t like it because it was cruel and treated everyone badly and unnecessarily (with wonky behind the scenes stuff happening), but it’s good to watch it at least once to understand where they come from. Monsta X: Right Now is another show of theirs a few months after debut, unfortunately with a lot of the same handling as No Mercy, but still good to see. They have a LOT of shows and appearances. I know that you mean about Monsta X creeping up on you. I watched their MVs, but I didn't watch any lives or variety shows, etc. I knew about the whole situation with Wonho so when I watched Losing You, I was really affected by it emotionally. I ended up going back and watching the No Mercy series about how Monsta X was formed and I actually fell in love with the group because of that.
The reason why Monsta X aren't mentioned a lot is because of two reasons :
1- the popularity : i'm by no mean trying to say that popular groups aren't good but when you aren't popular enough then you might not be talked about a lot *they aren't from the big 3 companies nor from Big Hit*
2- Monsta X aren't very much appreciated in korea for some reasons i won't be discussing, anyways most of the award shows and stuff are in korea so korean kpop stan don't vote much for Monsta X especially
But overall actually a lot of people adore Jooheon's rap *i don't think I.M is mentioned a lot but honey said before that he prefers to be loved and acknowledged by his fans rather than others*
My favorite rappers in kpop are Zico, Flowsik, Agust-D *i'm using Agust D because i like him in his solo work much more that with BTS* Jooheon *that's my baby cute honey bee* , Changbin, Mark *Got7* and some other old rappers that i won't mention because they aren't very good as people

Wwwwaaaaahhhh I have so much to comment! First of all, thank you so much for reacting to Monsta X and for such kind words! I'm very happy you like them so much! I sill don't have a bias too, they are all amazing and uniques in their own way, I can't wait for the personal guides you will react to, I recommend the ones from Chaena, they are a bit long but very good ones. Monsta X MVs are always very aesthetic and movie-like, you should watch DRAMARAMA, Destroyer and Find You (but be ready with tissues). These are calmer songs but are really amazing and have a story that connects them; Actually Beautiful is part of a trilogy (All in, Fighter, Beautiful) and there are theories that all the MVs have a storyline * o *
I love Monsta X because they are very versatile and have a unique sound, especially their energy that is present even in the "ballad" songs. The rappers...don't let me start with them...their lines and their power/charisma that reflects in their rep is amazing and I know good rappers but not like them. Their voices are all very distinctive and they have amazing vocals. You have to listen to their English album too! It has an 80's vibe but it's so good and chill, I'm sure you'll like it! I can't wait!

Oh, and I normally try to leave longer/decent comments for you on these videos, but I just gotta say that your appreciation for I.M makes me so happy 😁. He was who drew me to the group after reading the kinds of things he’s willing to stand up for/say in interviews (little did I know they’re all like that in several ways). And then of course his voice, not gonna lie. I love all seven of them dearly, but I.M and Wonho managed to become my two favorites somehow. They’re all lovely though, and I can and will go on about every single one of them given the chance.
Monsta X is a true rare gem. Like I also only found them Tru my coworker on 2018 they debuted on 2015,. Even tho I've been to kpop since 2010.. there is something diff about em..and I was like where the hell have they been all my life. They are soo complete package and it's unbelievable. So dope and sets their bar so high.. And getting to know them better only makes you love them even more because of their personality and even up today I am still amazed and inspired. Also they are sooo humble that they raised a fandom that is so loving and a fam to each other that I can say I am truly proud to be monbebe of our great Monsta X. ❤️

🤣 Your reactions are such a mood! The first time I discovered them was after Shoot Out dropped and let me tell you, I WAS SHOOK TO MY CORE! And I fell down the Monsta X hole and I've now been jammin out here for almost 2 yrs lol. I like a lot of groups but when I found Monsta X and got to know their personalities and how much they love their fans, I ulted them immediately. Their love for their fans is unlike any other group that I have stanned. I'm not saying that other groups don't love their fans, I'm just saying Monsta X seems to have the strongest connection with their fans. Also, because they like to try out many genres of music, they have a beautiful and extensive discography. And while they are mainly known for their energetic title tracks, they have some of the BEST b-sides. As far as their rap line goes, yes, THEY ARE FREAKING FIRE! 🔥🔥 How people are ranked is mainly popularity based unfortunately. Monsta X, along with a few other groups whose rapline deserve to be in the top 5 of kpop, are sadly overlooked bc they are from smaller companies, therefore them and Monsta X are slept on.😔 And I agree with you 100% Monsta X js a whole visual group. Regarding your question (about the rapline being not mentioned): I've noticed that Monsta X is being viewed as a Kpop group for guys, and that many of their peers - even the most popular ones, especially Seventeen - are fan of Monsta X. Luckily, their popularity is still growing in SK, mostly due to the fact that the boys had some great succes and very positive news articles written about them in the U.S. , Europe, and South-America.
A few months ago I had a discussion with a few younger monbebe, lamenting that our boys were hardly winning anything: I told them to watch all the award shows, in and outside of SK, and just realize how often Monsta X were there, either to perform and/or because they were nominated. That is the greatest sign of their ever-growing succes!
There are over 600 idols in SK. The competition is fiercer than the Hunger Games and still Monsta X keeps steadily gaining popularity. The group and their company are clearly focusing on the long run, and with everything these young men have been through since the beginning: I'm damn proud of being an elderbebe (a mature monbebe-noona).

As many of the other commenters here have mentioned, sadly MX is really, REALLY under appreciated and often overlooked. They’re actually my first and the only kpop group that I stan. Watching all of their variety shows and interviews and v lives, they really do seem like genuine, humble men, even though they have this insane amount of talent vocally and physically.
I do always wish they could get more recognition, because, it could be my bias showing, but I never get sick of listening to their entire discography. It’s just SO good! Even their side/individual project tracks are stunning. But yes, I wish their talent was acknowledged more, even though they do say the only love and recognition that matters to them is from monbebe 🥰

monsta x in my opinion is one of the most creative groups in the kpop industry, seriously they do EVERYTHING, monsta x is THE GROUP. They are my babies and they are all so strong, especially because of everything they had to go through. They are so talented, I think since I met them, I have become more demanding about what I want to hear, because they give me EVERYTHING, they are so unique and it's really amazing.
Monsta x have some of the unique choreography in kpop and in my opinion are the best + the rap line is insane + monsta x main vocal is one of the best vocalists in kpop 🌚 + and don’t let me talk about the MV’s and the details it have + they write their own music or help in it + they even help with the choreo + they care even about the side tracks in their albums + even their non-Korean songs are amazing ( in my opinion about the kpop in general > monsta x is one of the greatest boy group but don’t reserve the attention they deserve)
I've managed to go to two Monsta x concerts and I've had the chance to meet members (I.M and wonho) outside of concerts, and they're some of the nicest people ever. During concerts, they are just incredible, and when I ran into changkyun and wonho they were incredibly polite. I honestly don't know why they don't get the recognition they deserve. Our boys have worked so hard, they've put out so many good songs and are amazing people, yet they don't seem to get any more famous in Korea than they already are. That's such a shame, I love them so much and I really wish they could get more attention.

Monsta X is the most underated band their songs and dance performances are the best around ...their fan base is amazing they are the only band at fan signing that have their fans sit down at them they are so caring and funny and also hard working it breaks my heart that they don't get the recognition they deserve also I watch many first reaction videos featuring Monsta X and at the time they always say what an amazing group I need to see more and then never follow up on them I can't understand why?
Actually their whole English album All About Luv has 80-90s vibes. I really love those type of old songs and it melts my heart everytime i listen to it. Oh and they released that album for monbebes on Valentines days. Its a gift

Monsta X are incredibly underrated in general. Rappers, dancers, vocals, visuals... they're strong in all the categories, imho. But because they aren't from one of the bigger (SM, JYP, Big Hit, YG) companies they get glossed over.
I.M has some solo songs and they are all SOOOO GOOODDD. My favorite is 'horizon', but 'fly with me' is incredible, as is 'scent' too. I love his feat with elhae, this song is everything, I recommend listening to all. Jooheon has some solo songs too... in short I highly recommend THEM ALL because they are them you won't regret it, monsta x is the best group i've ever decided to stan seriously

Thank you for your reaction💛 I'm really glad that you really appreciate their rap because as you can see both Jooheon and I.M so talented but yeah they're underated in South Korea so people cancelled them because their rap sounds brutal(?) I hope that makes sense. And when time goes by people started to open about that kind of rap, but also people still don't appreciate them not just their rap but everything about them, their music, visual, dance, and their entertaining talent, people can't recognise them IDK WHY 🤷 they had their first win on music show after almost three years 🤧 they're really kind, gentleman +++ well mannered men with great talent, I can't say they're perfect but still they beautiful the way they are as you can see 🤧 IDK WHY people keep looking for their weaknesses & mistakes but please see them as a musician, as an artist who are trying their best to perform music with their own uniqueness. I love watching people fall in love with Monsta X 💜 they will forever and always be my ult group followed by Got 7. Monsta X is know for having good relationships with idols and especially with their fandom (Monbebe💜). They go out of their way to help Monbebe however they can, including demanding seats for Monbebe when there weren’t any, giving their own umbrellas to fans, wiping down monbebes seats with their sleeves, hell they even bowed to Monbebe after winning their first award. I fully believe they genuinely care about us. The way they look at Monbebe is too much for my little heart lol we have a close relationship with them and that’s why it’s important to note that Wonho’s single losing you is about Monbebe and Monsta x. To me Monsta X will always be seven.
Anywho, I also love MX for showing support for the LGBTQ+ community repeatedly throughout their careers. Wonho especially is known to confront and challenge gender norms. I love them so much 😭
Jealousy is not just a love song, it’s also been stated that it’s because they want Monbebe to have love for all seven members and not just solo stans. I swear they are so easy to love.

I highly recommend watching Monsta X-ray as a way of getting know the members are their personalities. Their variety show performances are also fantastic. For me there is no other rap line like monsta x. But in general they haven't had the recognition they deserve for not being from a big company among other things.

Yeah Monsta X, despite being a popular group in many ways (like them being mentioned alongside Blackpink and SuperM as potential Grammy nominees), are really underappreciated when it comes to kpop stans generally. They were one of the original groups doing "noise music", that NCT and Stray Kids have made popular, they are credited, including by other idols, for starting a lot of the current fashion trends in stages, such as harnesses and chains, they have an amazing rapline (as a recommendation, maybe after you have checked out individual guides, check out Sambakja, it is a unit stage rapline does, it doesn't have a studio version but you can find performances they have done of it and it's incredible), they have an amazing vocal line, and Kihyun specifically is also often left out of conversations of Kpop's best vocalists when he is seriously up there, the man has incredible range (both in the sense of the high notes he can hit but also the different styles of music he can do, another recommendation for a bit later, you should check out Kihyun''s covers, it really showcases what an amazing vocalist he is)

You should check out some of their albums on or off camera. I’d suggest starting with The Clan Part 2.5, aka. The “Beautiful” album. One of my favorites but if I’m being honest none of the albums I’ve listened to are bad or even mediocre. MONSTA X will give you quality music and full albums, I can say that with confidence lol.
My bias is jooheon, he is amazing (just like every member of this group) but he did a good job making me obsessed with him and his voice and his rap, dance moves... every damn thing (but I DO love them all)

Beautiful is my #1 song of all kpop. Monsta x is my ult group since then and i don't regret falling for them. They have so much passion and talent and their personality is just ❤ so yeah i like to see new monbebe falling for MX 😊 this song is part from their LGB Trilogy, you have tocheck some theories about it.
