  • When some of the Trails Offroad™ Crew gets together, it usually means mapping off-road trails, finding fun overland routes, and learning new tricks. This trip was located in one of our favorite backcountry areas, the San Rafael Swell in Utah. The San Rafael Swell is an epic destination because of the amazing scenery, fewer crowds, and of course, the epic off-road and overland trails. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at one of our fun crew weekends. Trails in the order shown listed below.

    It would be most helpful if you video the most difficult portions of the trails, like worst ledges, waterfalls, off camber areas, water crossings, etc. This is most helpful in determining vehicle requirements

    Love the behind the scenes footage! Seems the Trails Offroad uniform is a black Trails Offroad Tee shirt, khaki shorts and dark gray tennis shoes. LOL. Awesome video, drone footage and camera angles. Mission accomplished, I want to to run this trail now! +1..."pick up your daymn trash!"

    Great job! The pronghorn are super cool. Did you notice they tend to not run away? You may know this already. But they don't need to run. They can hit 65 mph. So they aren't really afraid of getting caught. I've only seen them once. Northern Arizona.

    We did this trail with our trailer, made for some interesting moments 😀. The shelf section especially. My wife wanted to kill me lol.

      John did, he bought an Ursa Minor for his JL. Now Josh sort of went a different direction, he bought another cheapy and a 40 foot RV.

    This is an excellent video. Thanks for sharing. curious if the behind the Reef and hidden Splendor trails you can do in one day or does it take two?

      Really depends on where you starting, but we recommend checking out our trail pages that have detailed guides and time estimates on them. You can find the link above in the video description or just search in google trailsoffroad and the trail name

    how can I see the route you took? Do you transfer it onto the T.O. maps?

      All the trails listed in the video description. In order, but we backtracked and did a couple of the same trails twice for night shots or returning to camp. The only one is Temple Mine road - which will show up on any base map you use.

      Yeah, randomly we will release those. They take up a lot of time to create them so usually do it during slow times.

      Oh!! That book, the Trails Offroad Book of “Must Do Trails” :) it’s not a real book yet :) but we do have over 2600 well-written trail guides on our site.
