Dr.Gregor, I hope you have read the latest research on erythritol by the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Bad news. It has been linked to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death. Apparently even consuming 30 grams of the substance is harmful. I have been using stevia mixed with Erythritol for the past decade and I have not had
any adverse health effects. Apparently, they would be doing more research on it. Could you please weigh in on this? I love my natural sweetener and this news is really bad news for people like me.

My favorite can't-get-enough-of-it breakfast: oats, ground flax & chia, hemp protein powder, nutritional yeast (B12-fortified), granulated kelp (iodine), amla powder, ground cacao & cloves, lion's mane extract powder, mashed dates with cinnamon, cranberries (plain, no-sugar), walnuts, pecans, "golden milk" (turmeric, ginger and a little black pepper cooked in soy milk), blueberries, and saffron.

      @kenjohnson6101 Рік тому +2

@@GeocachingJoy Here's some more detail on the recipe. I pre-mix and freeze the ingredients in bulk quantities, but these amounts are per (large) serving:
      dry oats 3/4 cup
      pre-mix, dry:
      ground flax 1 tbs (omega-3)
      ground chia 1 tbs (omega-3)
      hemp protein powder 2 tbs
Bragg nutrition yeast 1 tsp (B-12)
Maine Coast granulated kelp 1/10-th tsp (iodine)
      amla powder 1 tsp
      ground raw cacao 2 tsp
      ground cloves 1 tsp
lion's mane extract powder 1 tsp
      pre-mix, in ice cubes:
Medjool date (about 2/3) blended with 2/3 tsp cinnamon and soy milk, 1 ice cube
chopped cranberries (plain, no sugar), 1 ice cube
mixed walnuts & pecans 1 heaping handful (at least 1 oz)
      golden milk:
1 cup (or more) soy milk
turmeric - 1 tsp powdered or 1 tbs fresh shredded (promotes omega-3 DHA synthesis)
ginger - 1/2 tsp powdered or 1/2 tbs fresh shredded
      pinch of black pepper
1 tsp oil/fat (avacado oil or cacao butter etc.)
Make in 8-cup batches, cook dry ingredients and oil in a little soy milk for a few minutes until thickened.
Mix all of the above, microwave in covered bowl for up to 4 min.
Mix in 1/3 cup blueberries and a couple dozen Saffron threads (pre-soaked for a few minutes).
I get bulk ingredients from these sources:
      Fresh Meadows cranberries
Terrasoul nuts etc. (Also lookup "A Complete Guide to Soaking Nuts and Seeds" by Kayla Grossmann.)

My mom says Uncle Sam cereal came out when she was in high school, sort of as a gentle and nutritious statement against the war in Vietnam. Her high School yearbook for 1969 has a photo of her favorite history teacher at his desk holding an American flag in one hand with a box of Uncle Sam cereal in the other. And that was his statement about the war for all of posterity
