    I see the saints having a top 10 offense in the lg next season if not better The potential and the players are there and Derek Carr is a great qb to lead this system it fits him well just gotta fill in a few gaps with the oline and develop a real running game And the rest will be automatic

      @@mpp0919 It was perfect but we still had Drew Brees. Let's not forget this dude was close to being if not actually was the perfect quarterback but there were times in the playoffs we settled for 3 when we should've scored. Meanwhile we had the best offense in the NFL arguably at that time. It just didn't add up right.

    Go ahead James! I’m proud of you. Finally coming around on Carr. Ha. Yea Carr would be successful on any of those teams you mentioned, maybe even more because he has better arm talent than most QB’s.
    That is why SF wanted to trade for Carr in 2021 and offered 2-#1, 1#2 and 1#3 draft picks for Carr and that is why Gruden turned them down. Andy Reid, who also knows talent when he sees it, told Carr at last year’s ProBowl that he wanted to draft him and would have had the Raiders not.

      Man you just said a whole lot and there's a lot of Saints fans who wouldn't even believe this but Carr in that Superbowl would've probably been a 49ers victory. And I view Mahomes just as good as Brady.

      @@rex2837 Yep. Carr would have also handled the Chiefs blitz better. I remember the announcer admitting that Purdy was young and inexperienced with the blitz. That is what these fans crying for the Saints to draft a QB high need to understand. It takes 2 or 3 years to develop a QB and that is if they ever make it. You already have a proven seasoned veteran QB who has seen everything. In 2021, the Ravens were blitzing him a lot and he put up almost 400 yards and beat them in OT with a walk off TD pass to Zay Jones in an all out blitz.

    Im still Not sold on this guy tbh, went and watched every 2021 vikings video in the nfl page (basically a summary of every game) and the playcalling is really bad and repetitive, they were one of the worst teams on 3rd down and rightfully so, they settled a lot for screens, runs and short throws

      Yeah we’ll see about Kubiak as an OC, but I like the philosophy of bringing in new/young coaches and ideas and taking a chance .

    Kubiak can not make the offense fun. He can make it easy for the QB to execute. But the rest is up to the QB and the Olineman. Come onnn Drew stop with the BS

      That hinges heavily on how the offensive line performs. You can have all the weapons in the world and the greatest scheme, but if there are no holes to run through and the quarterback has no time to throw, then it's all for not.

    We’ll see. I’m hesitant and basically will have to see it in the regular season to really believe it. Still very uneasy about a DA & DC lead team.
    But I’ll reserve ultimate judgement until I see it in game action.

    Yeah, it will be fun to watch Derek Carr throw a 93 yard pick 6 against the Falcons. My question is, how many more people will it take to surround Derek Carr so he can do well? The world may never know.

      All good quarterbacks need a good supporting cast. In fact, all championship teams need at least 2 of the following 3 things. A solid offensive line, a mid to great defense, and a good head coach. That's why Herbert is a top 10 quarterback every year but has a worse win/loss record than Carr since he's been in the league.

      @@sweeabn6736 I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but ALL quarterbacks make bad plays. Mahomes had a fumble 6 and a pick 6 literally 5 seconds apart from each other. 🫢
      Maybe Carr needs Mahomes' top 5-10 offensive line (depends on which rankings you look at), #2 defense, and future Hall of Fame coach. 🤷🏿‍♂️

    I always thought carr was good but could be better and I believe with Kubiak he will be better than good provided he stays healthy they need to revamp the o line they have weapons in AK, olave, Shahid, perry, Williams, hill just to name a few I'm excited for next year its time to make the dome back into a house of horrors for opposing teams again

      The quarterback is only as good as the playcalling and the protection. Both of those were atrocious last year, but they were still 9th overall in scoring. With all the FA moves, it'll be a tough year. If the Saints don't fix the issues with the O-line, then it could be a long season.🤷🏿‍♂️

    Carr wouldve won those sbs if he was in san Francisco, just look at the difference between him and jimmy g once jimmy got ti the raiders, the offense went from 11 in scoring to bottom 5, carr was crucified for having 14 ints with mcdaniels passing schemes and jimmy who was considered a safe throw low int guy got like 10 in 6 games and was still leading the league weeks after being benched.
    He also seems to play his best ball when he faces mahomes lol

      The niners reached the superbowl with jimmy throwing 8 passes in the conference game and had a 10 point lead against the chiefs before jimmy struggled, he missed Wide open receivers in deep balls that carr connects easy

      @@LouisWinthorpe3 Yep. The NFL failure of Tray Lance is the perfect example that a proven franchise QB is more valuable than a crap shoot in the draft. SF knew that. That is why they wanted Carr. Gruden knew that. That is why he turned down the offer. Somehow some of these podcasters and some of these Saints fans that are calling for the Saints to draft a QB early have missed that memo.

      @@LouisWinthorpe3 Ha. Yep. Carr is the only QB still in the NFL from his 2014 draft class. He was drafted early second round. Blake Bortles was taken 3rd overall and he’s been out of the NFL.

    Last season, I was out of the pool. Just couldn’t buy in to the same consistent mediocrity I had to sit through week after week. That having been said, with all of the offensive changes, upcoming FA, and ESPECIALLY the draft, I’m eyeing the deep end of the pool! #WhoDat ⚜️⚜️

    Yeah i agree. I think this will be a season with some excitement to it. I think the culture will be back, the fans cheering instead of booing and the Dome back to being one of the toughest places to play bc of how loud it will be again. And i also agree @haitianblakk, @jamesSkrmetta what you're doing for Saints Nation by breaking down these analytics every week is top tier my guy.       Nahhh young bro please don't compare DA to one of the BEST Head Coaches in any sport. DA is a known LOSER. Even his defense, it took him at least 3 years to get that working in NOLA. Maybe he had to get the parts but even if, he should've had some type of success in his first year or two. But as can be seen, Belichick win when he switched to HC. DA for the last two seasons is on pace to be fired by week 3. He should be FIRED now. He reminds most LSU fans of les miles. He was given a good squad but was really out coached a lot. He had success but it wasn't because of him it was all talent. DA is a LOSER and so is his Lemon of a QB.
