I just started listening to Machine Head about half an hour ago and I have to say I love the philosophy of three and a half bars of sludgy riffage followed up by the sudden "BEEP!" of a tapped note.
I made a spotify playlist recently of just pure Metal. The rule was that I couldn't have more than 10 songs from a single band. I ended up putting on Imperium, Davidian and the entirety of the 8 songs on The Blackening. The album's been one of the best over the last decade.

This album in my personal opinion was machine heads absolute best album.
My rule tends to be don't put any more than two songs from one band into a playlist. It's gotta be the songs that I *really* like from them.
Just listen. Nothing else.
