The reason Kevin does not call 911 is because 1) he thinks he made his family disappear 2) he stole the toothbrush and believe the cops are looking for him.
Also he remembers the "police officer" at the beginning (with the gold tooth) and later recognizes Harry as being the same guy. So there's an extra reason why Kevin doesn't trust cops, as they just could be someone in a costume, impersonating the police.
Fun fact - There was recently a quasi-remake called "Home Sweet Home Alone", and while 99.9% of the movie was terrible, there was one genuinely brilliant touch: A cop is doing a patrol because of reports of some people skulking around at night, and when the cop steps out of his patrol car, we see it's Buzz from Home Alone 1&2, and in his short scene, while talking to dispatch, he mentions that his little brother (presumably Kevin) was now working a successful job designing custom home security systems. That's really quite smart!

"This kid's gonna be an engineer." Yeah, about that... In the sixth movie (which came out after this video was posted), it's stated that Kevin now owns a home security company.
No, I didn't watch it; I watched a review of it. Why would I watch any of them after the second?
I told my friend that Larry Lawton was playing GTA and he responds with “Larry Lawton is GTA”
Am I the only one who watched Larry talk about what Convicts tend to think of people who end up in prison for abusing kids who rewatched Home Alone and when they get to the part where Marv and Harry catch up to Kevin and talk about taking their revenge on him (especially Harry saying he will bite off Kevin's fingers) who thought, "God, when they go to prison and get their paperwork pulled, they're gonna get f*cked up"?
So that will be my annual dose of "Home Alone". Merry Christmas for everyone
Merry Christmas
The best part is where kevin puts buzz's Tarantula on marvs face and he screams
Hey Larry, thank you for helping me out with the book. Your a great man. Have a great Christmas and God Bless You.
Not too long ago I was watching Home Alone, and I thought of how great it would be to see Larry review it and in just a day later I see this, I am so happy
Merry Christmas Larry Lawton America's #1 Diamond Thief and Prison reform activist
I've been following this channel for probably a little more than a month now. I just want to say Larry Lawton , you have one cool life story and it's awesome to see what you do now for prison reform. Merry Christmas Larry Lawton and God bless.
Larry is the real MVP when he watches Home Alone on a 90's TV
AWSOME movie still! Very insightful explanations!
8:00 As a 2000s kid, I thought "answering machine" just meant voicemail, and was wondering why the h€ll it was called a "machine".
Merry Christmas Larry! Thanks for the great vid!
Same to you!
Ohhh god stepping on a lego is the worst thing I’ve experienced
Pretty sure a screw is worse lol and I’ve done both trust me.
I step on a stick with shoes and it went straight through the bottom and into my foot.
Nobody knew about it.
@@captainrobots1 one time I stepped on a thumbtack and I didn't realize until I got home and looked at my shoe
@@rexjolles I've also fell off a rope about 9ft and also been bitten by a dog and one time I almost drowned.
The dog one I didn't feel a thing because it was my lip and barely missed the muscle. I also somehow was calm, I was in middle school well not at the time but at a party and we still don't know why the dog did that I wasn't doing anything wrong also good thing it didn't have rabies.
Great video Larry!! Love Home Alone, it causes a lot of nostalgia for me!!
A Burglar I knew had his own calling card. We use to call him the Brown Bandit, because he liked to take a shit near the front door. He had a knack of getting into houses by cutting a out a 4 inch cylinder piece of plastic from a 2 litre Pepsi bottle, then flatten it. He would then slide the lock with it to gain entry, so nobody would no they've been robbed, only to step in his shit.
Larry Lawton reacting to Home Alone was on my Christmas my Christmas list. I couldn't be happier! 🎁🎁😁 😁 😁🎁🎁
Merriest of Christmases to you and yours!
18:10 It always cracks me up they replaced the old man with a stunt double when he hit Harry in the head with a shovel
Putting this video on made me feel like it's actually Christmas time for the first time this season. Keep up the good work, I treasure this channel 👌
Merry Christmas Larry!! I used to love babys day out as a toddler, you should review it.
Nostalgic movie. Love it so much.
One of those movies you can watch again and again, and it won't get boring.
Plus, there's snow. What about footprints?
Merry Christmas Larry. You are the only person on youtube i can listen to for hours and hours. You got such a narrative voice!
I think the reason he didn’t call the police is because a tree had fallen on the telephone line which is the same reason that the rest of the family couldn’t call the neighbors
Nope, its because he wanted to be left alone and if he got called the cops theyd take him away, for crying out loud he literally runs from a cop and Kevin was obviously smart enough to get ahold of the cops if he really wanted to.
@@delgriffith7949 good point but if thats the case then why does it show the storm in the middle of the night when the tree branch takes out the telephone lines
@@adamvos-06 oh because it explains why his folks werent able to reach the house.
@@adamvos-06 if he cant use phones at all how did he order pizza?
No, he didn't call them because of the toothbrush stealing, he thinks that police are after him and would put him in jail... (it's in the book)
You have my attention with that title.
I haven’t even watched the video yet and I’m already a fan
Correction; Marv called themselves that. Harry thought it was stupid and didn't want to be called that nor Marv leaving the water running so they get caught. Great classic movie. I remember 1 and 2 were played every year back to back during the holidays.
We have light timers that fluctuate the on and off times each day. They’re unpredictable.
Merry Christmas Larry!
Same to you and your family
This video better get over a million views! Great video Larry!
we do it one by one. thanks for being here for it
Facts
I hope we get to see a review of the Home Alone sequels also
One of the all-time great Christmas movies, I’ve seen it so many times and I still laugh just as hard as the first time I watched it
The only good part of the robbers is that they're immortal
VΩID queen:pathetic
Using the CRT for playback was a nice touch
1:24 according to the movie the phones were down
Man I've been feeling kinda low and depressed lately but this video really cheered me up and put me in a good mood, thanks larry have a good Christmas.
Yep stepping on a kids toy in bare feet hurts. I still have the scar.
Merry Christmas Larry, thank you for being our present this year, you are great and here's to another year.
15:16
Dude, you're reaction to that, I felt that so hard. I stepped on a nail when I was a teen and it was the WORST feeling in the world. Seeing this scene just brings back those bad memories, especially considering I couldn't walk, had to go to the hospital because it was rusty and that taught me for good to stop walking around barefooted, especially in an apartment complex in the ghetto.
Though I will admit, I still do it anyways. So I guess I haven't fully learned my lesson :P
Is it like stepping on a thumb tac?
@@MarcusCollins69 Yes, only a nail tends to go in deeper due to it's size. Step on a thumb tac, you are gonna need a band aid and some alcohol. Step on a nail, you're off to the hospital and not walking for a good while.
@@Keeneye47_Wolfkeen hope a nail never attacks you again
Love this movie, last 4 or so years we rent a cabin for Christmas and wife and kids sit down and watch this. Never gets old
