I wish there was a way to complete the heists solo or maybe just make it 2 player so we can at least do them with a friend. I never completed all three heists because of random people screwing everything up

I managed to put together an A team of ransoms. Trained them a bit and they haven’t lost a heist since

unless you're doing the robbery with somebody you really trust but nowadays we got technology, even when you're with your friends you get spied on by phones. accept the wrong cookies, click on the wrong link (especially those ".onion" ones) and you're on extra surveillance. most of the times it's just to advertise the best products, but it happens that personal data is sold to thirds and governments get your position and all that.

Not plot, but an advisor, like someone who fact checks the heists to make sure they arent too inaccurate
One thing I love is the fact that your critique is spot-on and it actually is part of the plot itself.
Because yes, those heists in the story mode are very flawed, and those flaws do in fact drive a lot of the conflicts later on in the plot, federal agents inmediatley knew it was Michael who pulled this robbery and this gets Michael in trouble later, Michael telling his one-liner to the officer outside the store gets him instantly identified and located by Trevor who thought he had been dead all along, and the more heists you pull in the game, the worse their situation get.
This is an amazing analysis and review, I need to watch more!
The problem to me is that Larry doesn’t know a lot of the context of this stuff. Lester constantly scopes out spots that could be hit and thinks of the getaways and stuff. That’s why he randomly just picked vangelico. He’d been looking at it for a while. He also doesn’t know that we don’t really case getaways because they’re pre planned because you can’t code every possibility. I will say though, Larry does a great job of outlining everything that he would do, and wouldn’t do
Also, Michael taking pictures wouldn't have looked suspicious at all because the camera was in the glasses. That's also how Lester knew were the more expensive jewelry was. Another thing that bothered me was how he described them talking about Michaels old crew. Those weren't random people like Larry was saying. They were people Michael knew very well, and had worked with before. It's almost like he was barely paying attention at all

@@Jokingskull99 Larry does have a point though, you’d look suspicious as hell standing in a Jewellery store for 30 seconds not doing or saying anything whilst you take pictures through your glasses, you’d make yourself look suspicious like you’re obviously trying to scope out the score. Also he’s not wrong about Michael knowing the crew, that’s evident in the dialogue in the van when he’s talking about “if anyone gets pinched or I’ve gotta be able to trust you all with my life” or when he’s picking crew members Lester sometimes says “this ones new blood, I’ve not seen him under pressure” or Michael says “Rickie, I met him at Life Invader, he may not be that good, but he’s enthusiastic” As Larry says, you know who your crew are, you know what they can do and you need to be able to trust them” Also, he doesn’t know the crew that well Lester even says “there are no old guys”, referring to Brad and Trevor and other guys they used to run with and Lester makes it clear that they don’t run no more, at the time of the Jewel Store Heist he only just met Franklin, you don’t build up a brilliant relationship with a crew member days or weeks after meeting them. You’ve got to understand that Larry was at one point considered one of the most successful Jewel Store robbers in American history, he knows exactly what he’s talking about and he knows exactly what would get you caught or sent down. But even Larry understands this is a video game so it’s going to be more free and unrealistic than an actual jewellery heist.

If you're still doing this sort of thing there's a game called Payday2 which is all about doing heists of all kinds. There's one in particular which involves stealing paintings from a museum, having cameras put into them then using the cameras to get gold from a safe in a senator's private estate. You should check it out if interested. :)

I'm a big fan of "real X reacts to Y". When this got suggested to me, I thought it was so outlandish I HAD to watch it. Wasn't disapointed.
Lester is basically the brains, master hacker who sets up the heists, has the connections. Without Lester they would have no plan, or a very bad plan.

Just like the video game has a disclaimer that the makers and producers of this video game do not endorse, condone, or encourage engaging in criminal behavior, you do not condone the past actions of criminal activity you were involved in, for lack of a better word, the characters in this video game would have made the sloppiest, tactless robbers ever. Drawing so much attention, second guessing, indecisiveness and obviously making too much noise are recipes for a botched robbery and long prison sentences.

It's official: for future GTA installments, Rockstar Games must consult Larry for any and all heists. Or have an ultra realism mode called "Lawton Mode" where you have to obey traffic laws, avoid being seen by cops, park in inconspicuous places and general just go about it in a more realistic way.
Honestly i would actually play the story a second time on that mode, i really hate hard modes when its just less damage and stuff, but a mode where its hyper realistic but not nearly impossible, id love that

@@orlandocarrillo7132 yeah, but he cant retry stuff, and we can, i dont mean a one life gta because its barelly possible to play lile that, i mean like infinite warfares campaign on realistic, you need healing syringes and helmets because they get hit and get damaged, that means you need a working helmet, that means you cant get shot more than like twice in the head and the same for your body...its suuuch a different experience from the recruit difficulty where i could run around and basically just punch them all, on realistic you hide in cover and are scared to peak out even, and THATS a completelly different experience that i loved

Thanks Larry a great job using the game to explain how a robbery works in real life. Which I assume was your aim and like your previous life perfectly executed. But in truth I wonder if anyone would actually enjoy playing / have the patience to play a mission based on 'real life'. Having to stop at every red light would see most people fail. 🙂

The funny thing is the simple fact that the quiet approach nets you the biggest take of the 2 plans
I think if Larry works alongside the developers on GTA 6 it might make it a lot more fun and rewarding. The heists would be so much more involved and immersive, the co-op would be next level.
