    In the uk and Ireland we are raising money for age uk (older people) by knitting hats for the innocent smoothies.
    I just found the tutorial of how to make them. I will definitely donate some hats

    Gonna use this pattern to make a small hat for my grandson who is only 4lb 8oz and is very small, goon add a few more stitches thou and hopefully the hat will fit him and not be too big xx

    A tip for anybody new to knitting use thick needles e.g. 9mm and i highly recomend thick wool and practice
    And if you cant do it dont get annoyed keep trying and trying 😀

    I’m not sure if you know by now or are just used to your method, but I find there is a much simpler way to do this sort of cast on. I’m not sure how to explain in the comments though.

      yeah you could, I normally use at least 120 stitches for an adult hat. I also have an adult hat tutorial on the channel using circular needles.

      I do roughly 15 rows for the rim and about 75 rows for the main body.

      I’m not 100% sure. They may be a bit too big, maybe with a couple less stitches they would be a good fit 😊

    Lol it took me an hour to realize that I was doing the knot wrong.
