  • Our review of the 2022 Kawasaki Z1000SX with our BT Moto ECU Flash. We include before and after comparisons, dyno, as well as Dragy 60-130 data, a standard performance benchmark.

    Man I rode this bike on a demo day on rain mode. Plenty of torque even on rain mode and was very comfortable. Rode like a Cadillac.

    I have a 2011 model from the factory it has 138hp and 110nm of torque.. I have a full akra system, pc5, velocity stacks and a high flow air filter Dyno tuned.. its a beast over 150hp and buckets of tq..

    Are you guys also based in SD? I’m currently here on a work contract in SD, with my 2020 1000SX and want more responsiveness. More power and something that I can use for the track and canyon days. I love my SX because it’s a great commuter too.

    Mine (2024 brand new) is pushing to the right on cruise control, wondering is it wheels non balance well or it’s a heavy ugly exhaust. Otherwise- best bike ever

    Wow, nice one. I’m a simple guy I guess, but stock the bike feels way too quick for the streets. I assume this is for a perfectionist or track rider. I’m extremely happy with the power.

    I noticed the wall right away. Its almost like you cut fuel or closed the throttle even when wide open.
    Mine is currently being flashed and hopefully the same results. 7 hp is nothing compared to the actual full throttle!

      I did a trackday with my SX at Thunderhill’s 5 mile layout in September and I definitely lost out in the front and back straights to even some 600’s. I’ll even get in a draft and when I get out to move for a pass, the SX hesitates and falls flat. I literally have to ride the rear wheel of the rider I’m about to pass mid apex and already drive hard just to barely pass a 600 before the next turn.

    300foot difference to get to 130. Even if you half that distance that is still huge. Suzuki comparison bike the 2021 gsxs1000f. Have you done this on one of those bikes.

    You didn't mention the torque, what's the torque increase 🤔

      Peak to peak is a gain of 1wtq. Though at the throttle restriction up top, it’s a gain of over 20wtq. Dyno sheet on our website.

    Stock tuning was adequate. The flash made it borderline too much bike for the road, ha-ha.

    If they'd have bothered doing pulls in 2nd and 3rd, dyno results would be much stronger.. Half a job

    Sport touring bikes are mostly not meant for performance unless it’s a busa or an h2sx

      H2SX can be tuned to about 240 wheel horsepower without a lot of work. Maybe that touring bike will be for you.
