Yes! I have the 2025 XLE and my Samsung s24 Ultra has the same wireless connectivity issues it's hit or miss every time you start the vehicle. It's definitely annoying. Also I have the same annoying armrest noise except mine is in the middle console armrest. I also discovered that the driver side chrome door trim isn't aligned properly to match the back door. Also not sure if you guys checked out the rear adjustable headrest but they don't adjust at all or click to lock in place. Again these are small minor details but for a car priced over 38k I'd expect better. Ohhh and 1 more thing why does Toyota always cut the carpet under the drivers seat? If you guys can get an answer as to why please do an update. Thanks!
For me, the connectivity issues, the overactive lane assist, and the quality issues such as squeaking armrests are deal breakers. These are unexpected in a Toyota which is known for its quality control
I own a 2025 Camry and as far as the media system problem, push and hold the volume knob on the screen for 10-15 second, it will reset it. I did this and never had any issues since.
I've had no media issues with the media system on my 2025 Camry SE. Make sure both phones are up to date. Perhaps have the toyota system flashed and have the dealer do a clean install. Consumer Reports mentioned the same issue.
This didn't work for me, nor did rapidly tapping the screen. It was puzzling that when the salesman first paired my iphone, I had to enter a 6 digit password. After several complaints about the black screen, the service tech re paired my phone and there was no password requirement to do. so.
I’ve had my ‘25 Camry XLE since May 10. I’m writing this on October 17. Just turned 5,000 miles (and will get my first free Toyota maintenance done tomorrow). I’ve had no problems with Apple CarPlay connecting EXCEPT when one particular VPN is active on the paired iPhone. I also have not had the Lane Centering announcements you brothers get every 15 seconds. Actually I haven’t had any annoyances or things not working. The only “negative” I have is that the actual MPG per tankful averages a full 2 MPG lower than the MPG shown on the Fuel Economy display, which I reset to zero at each fill up. My actual average MPG per fill up using ECO mode all the time is 42.5. That is significantly below Toyota’s stated MPG estimate of 46 MPG for the XLE FWD model. However, I’m quite happy with 42.5 MPG after owning my 2008 Ford Taurus which averaged about 17.5 MPG. All in all, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my ‘25 Camry XLE.
I found a legitimate reason why my actual average MPG is lower than the EPA new car sticker estimates. The EPA tests cars at about 50 MPH for their Highway estimate. My highway driving is probably at an average of about 65 to 70 MPH, which would use more gas than 50 MPH. Considering my estimated 75% of miles at “my” highway speeds (65-70), my overall average of 42.5 MPG seems reasonable.
@ronkert706 i agree but then again i also get around 46 mpg going 55 mph on the highway and 42 mpg going 70-75 mph on the highway. My commute is usually flat roads so you could also have some hills that could affect your mpg. From my experience I usually get slightly above the mpg rating. I also don't drive a hybrid but a strictly gas version of the camry. Also forgot to mention that if it's cold where you are living at, then that will affect your MPG as well. Gas has the same issue as well.
I hope you’ll be taking it to the dealer to see if some of the problems can be resolved (phone connectivity especially). Then a follow up video would be really useful. Thanks for the in-depth way you review and report on cars.
2025 XSE Ocean Gem, three weeks in, 450 miles, avg 49.5 MPG. Still on first tank of gas and have a little over quarter tank left. Amazing to me having driven a Nissan Armada for past 10 years. Loving it so far, quiet smooth ride. No issues with safety features or infotainment, but I usually connect with cable in order to keep the phone charged up.
My 2023 Highlander Hybrid has some of the same problems with the carplay system. I believe the problem is Toyota is not keeping up with the updates the phones are doing. My system worked great for the first 3 months of ownership and then the phone did a major update, then the little bugs keep coming out. Things may get better but not prefect if you try this with the system. Go in and delete out the phone then reinstall it. Things seemed to work better, but you have to do this every time apple does an update, which is about every 5 weeks. When apple did the new os 18 update, everything was back to working great, then the phone did the little update and the bugs are back now. I also felt the car was unsafe to drive with the safety system on, especially in the rain. It wants to hug the right side of the road driving down the highway, but when it comes to an exit or on ramp it wants to move over more then it sees it made a mistake and centers the car back fast. It is a very uncomfortable feeling.
I have a 2025 Camry XLE, nothing in my vehicle creaks and it feels relatively high quality. My infotainment issues also are not as persistent as what is shown in this video. Bluetooth pairing will be finnicky between any Bluetooth device but I second the other comment where if you run into this issue you should hold down the power button to reset the infotainment. It also helps if not more than 2 devices are paired, if those devices are in the car it sometimes gets confused on which phone it wants to pair. It's also beneficial to have a usb cable lying around so you can get the pairing done, quick fix. Its still early with only 3 months of ownership but Toyota did a wonderful job with this Camry
@@2004cyrusthere is no fix , you can’ reconnect the phone but it’ll still give problems I got a 24 crown limited and it gives problem definitely software update
Wife and I seem to have trouble with Car Play too.. Have to go in to bluetooth settings to turn it on.. Sometimes we dont. Its hit or miss, and we dont get those error messages. We also have an issue with the plastic bar in the middle of the sunroof coming off.. Gonna have to get the dealership to look at that. Backseat middle headrest is also uneven.. Higher on one side. Ever want to see the "Heavy Metal" let me know, I'm just a few miles west of Lex. Go cats!!
Absolutely! I brought my 2024 Camry in for an oil change at 2,111 miles. The service rep told me it wasn't due. I just told him that I'm the only one who gets to decide when it's due.
Same here. I never use that feature. Also, my 2019 Camrys interior only squeaks at a certain temp. Usually at around 40F or like 5C. Once the heater catches up the squeaks and rattles go away. 5 yrs 33,000 miles zero problems other than the fuel pump recall.
@@IKnewMickey Did you get the free transmission software reset? It will help a lot if you find it shifting funny or having any shudder. Call your dealership and give them your VIN number. They'll tell you if it's eligible.
4000 miles and 2 months on our XLE AWD. 2 oil changes to-date. No issues whatsoever. Wireless connection is solid to my Pixel 6a. I just have to get in the car. 10 tank fills and the calculated average mpg is 47.8. Sunglasses compartment should have been lined with soft material as sunglasses rattle in it. We use an old sock! Lane tracing is best on the highway. It's finicky on country lanes. Also, it will get too close to the lines itself and beep! Can't turn the beeps off, which is annoying. Insurance went up by $70 from a Ford Escape Hybrid. My only legit problem is the paint. The non-metallic Underground shows EVERY swirl, scratch, and mar. It's awful! It's very soft paint too. I wish we'd got a lighter, metallic color which would show defects less. Love it though. Torquey, quiet, fuel efficient, good looking. ❤️
Same issue with my xle. I don't have any creaks or rattles. Had window trim that had sharp edge but dealer replaced no problem. Other than those 2 drives nice
It does it even with the cable plugged up.. I keep my phone connected to the cable all the time to keep the phone battery charged up.. Still disconnects with getting out of the car . Annoying. I'll try holding down the ON/OFF knob for 10-15 seconds to reset the sysytem and see if it clears it up.
I own a 2025 Camry, and it surprised me by routing the phone call on my Android into the car's sound system. I never used this feature, but I knew immediately how to use it, and I was later pleased to reflect that I barely glanced away from the road to operate it. Overall, mine seems to be working fine, And gods, I love the 53MPG!
I have a 24 Camry got it couple months ago and literally the rattling of the sunroof and center screen and at low speed the outside squeaks but the dealership says everything is okay so
I've seen similar issues to the android auto issue. Usually it is because a device's OS fully boots before it turns on the peripherals such as the network devices. So it boots - says nothing is connected or accessible then it loads up the connections then says I'm connected or you'll have to connect now that the network is accessible.
I got my 2025 XLE AWD two months ago replacing a 2006 Avalon LTD. It took a bit of work to set it up as I like but love the handling, the leather interior and 51 miles per gallon. I got it in metallic white again for safety.
@@thomasbaginski4680 - It’s not the octane. It was done while breaking it in at reasonable speeds on a long trip. I usually get about 46-48 MPG in town.
@@DriverX-JDM I've owned 8 Toyotas and two Hondas over the years (among others) and the Toyotas needed less maintenance and fewer emergency repairs. However, with five drivers in the family, the Hondas were everyone's first choice. The Honda keys were always gone.
@@Mr_GiLL83I cross shopped the two and got the Civic. The XLE I seriously question Toyota in slapping which is essentially a quilted microfiber towel on the dashboard. It looks heinous and it’s probably a disaster to clean.
I got my Camry XSE two months ago, none of the interior issues you seem to have. The only issues I’ve had so far is when I use my phones app or Apple Watch to start the vehicle it does disconnect from CarPlay, it doesn’t do this every but it’s been enough to were I did go to the dealership and asks about, but to be honest they were useless on any ideas. The other issue is the a Adaptive Cruise Control, man when I want change lanes the dam this fights me! It tries to pull me back the lane I’m changing from. Definitely bring that up on its first service.
I don't like Toyotas complimentary maintenance as I can't afford the 4 hours wait for the oil to be changed at the dealer. Never used the "free maintenance" on my Rav4 because of excessive wait times.
@@johnthomas3863 make your complaint in an online review of the dealership see what happens my toyota dealer as well- full maintenance 1 hour no errors with repair
I've had that Android issue with my Corolla. I find that if the phone is in my pocket it happens more often. If the phone is in my hand or on the charger it tends to connect without issues.
That red bar in front of the passenger looks like the roller coaster restraint bar that flips backward to lock the roller coaster car passengers in their seats before the coaster car moves. Is that what the claustrophobic-looking red bar in front of the Camry's passenger is supposed to do? Does it slide backwards and lock to prevent passenger movement? What were Toyota stylists thinking?!!
Everyone says they are overpriced. My 2012 Camry LE was about $24-25k tax included when it was brand new. I believe an 2012 Camry XLE was about $27-28k tax included back then. With 2012 Camry XLE Hybrid was about $30-31k. Now 2025, we start off as HEV. Camry LE HEV about $29-30k. Camry XLE HEV $$35-37k. Obviously price increased in the last 13 years. It’s not like the price doubled. People be thinking that the 2012 Camry was 20k out the door value and now complaining it’s $35-40k like it doubled in cost.
Interesting points you make! I think the toyota Rav 4 is a different story... A loaded one cost up to 50-55k, to me that makes the Camry look like a much better deal.
I have a new 2025 XSE as pictured here. Love the ride, white with red, awesome. 1) Wonder if you can show how to get the parking camera to BEEP when I get too close to a beam in a parking garage, wall in back etc. My car does not beep. 2) When I lock my car, the mirrors do not fold in, How can I activate that feature? 3) Garage door home link with red blinking, green blinking, does not connect at home, but while away at a second home, I could get that Homelink to work fine. Meanwhile, I am using the portable clipon Chamberlain homelink devices. 4) Can I display frequent callers to show up on a list and use those on a touchscreen, or do I have to always use voice to call someone? 5) I Can not seem to find a memory feature for the Automatic seat, mirror memory for all my drivers. Would like to have 3 programmed in ? When I stop to get out, I would like my seat to roll back for exiting, etc. The fit up front is tight. 6) Toyota asks me to type in my email and password everytime I go into settings mode, even though I already have my profile pulled up on my dashboard panel. Is this a dealer or manufacturer defect? Do other family drivers need to have their phone programmed to Toyota to use radio, car setting features, etc?
I don’t want wireless ACP/AA. I just want to get in it and drive my basic car. Knobs and buttons are top priority and it’s why I have removed Subarus, fords and anything else with that giant eyesore on the dashboards.
I had the 2021 version of this car and had an issue with an audible vibration coming from the rear speakers of the JBL system. I was not playing music at very high levels, nor were any of my audio settings maxed out. I took the car back to the dealership 3 times. The first time, less than a week in, the subwoofer was replaced due to a broken coil. The second time, additional insulation was installed, the third time, nothing else could be done and I was told it was a known issue that Toyota was working to resolve. I figured this was a design flaw that would be corrected for the redesign. Sadly, the 2025 models are more of a visual refresh, excluding interior and powertrain upgrades, so the overall exterior design for 2025 has just been slightly modified at best. With that said, it is possible that this issue, if not resolved, could carry over into this current generation. I kept my Camry for just 2 years and have driven nothing but Toyota and Lexus products until 2023 when I leased my first ever Honda Accord Sport-L Hybrid.
purchased 2025 xse in August changed the oil @ 1500 miles take no chances with metal shavings, then went on 6500 mile trip. I see all the reports of connection issues but I don't get it, once the media player is set correctly - zero problems with instant qi conncecttion and android auto and Google maps esp for cross country trip - toyota navigation service is poor. depending on road surface 19 in tire noise can get loud. only miss the torque of a V8. love the relaibilty.
Thanks for review. Is the Android connection an issue on the smaller Screen too? Rattles & squeaks are disappointing on a new car . I've noticed previous years Camrys & Rav4's are rattlely too.Quality longevity is spoiled by rattles & squeaks. My 2016 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Sedan doesn't rattle or squeak.
Weirdly I was able to feel the road a lot more on the Camry (XSE + Premium Package) compared to the 2024 Sonata Hybrid Limited. No denying that it's more reliable, but the comfort and noise isolation is far superior on the Hyundais, IMO. Tech issues with the carplay is not really helping Camry's case! Looks like they just wanted to release the new year model so that they aren't left behind on tech against their competition. Since my Sonata has been deemed a lemon, I was excited to actually try the Camry out. Even with my hyundai experience was a lemon, looks like I might be going back to them compared to this year's Camry!
History has a tendency to repeat itself. I thought the same once regarding Hyundai. It was a mistake. One I can only blame myself for now. Maybe it's different today. I hope the best for you. Good luck.
You’re talking about a chance of tires and connection issues vs a brand that puts out lemons and new engines likes it candy 😂 Keep the camry you’re talking about simple problems 😂
@@iratashman7202 it’s your driving style. There is nuance to driving a hybrid. This Toyota is my first one. The easier on the throttle, breaking and coasting, the better you will do. Your 44 is great and I started out that way and my XLE is not hitting 50.3 in 5 weeks. But I don’t race around. I don’t stay in power mode. Cruise control will also put you in a savings position if you let the car do its thing. But 44 is not shabby at all. You can do better if you drive her easy 90% of the time.
I bought a 2025 camry memorial day weekend.love the car ..if you are having problems erase the Toyota wifi from your phone and re download it i only had to do it once in 4 1/2 months and my car has never told me to turn the wheel lol
if you use adaptive cruise control, the system will tell you that the lane centering system will turn off. Again kind of ridiculous when you are on a straigtht road.
My 2002 toyota estima minivan - bluetooth adapter off amazon for £13 always pairs lol no issues, no recalls, every light buld is original and works and nothing is broken.
Thanks for the honest review. Do you know if that issue with having to constantly turn the wheel when using lane centering is going to be fixed? This is would drive me nuts and make consider other brand over Toyota because of this.
Ive been having the same issue with the Wireless Apple CarPlay in my 25 SE I got on launch day and I swear it'll be the end of me. Its just so annoying but I think it might have to do with the Toyota app because whenever I go to turn On CarPlay manually in the settings, it say my phone is Connected Via Toyota App. So I wonder if the app is the reason CarPlay keeps getting turned off. But I've also experienced my CarPlay just randomly disconnected for no reason mid drives. And one time it did it twice within 10 mins. Ive stared just using wired CarPlay to avoid these issues.
Hi 2025 Camry owners maybe someone can help me solve my little issue/annoyance. When IPhone connected to CarPlay. I’m old school and still like to listen to the FM radio on my morning commute to work. The issue I am having anytime I pick up My phone and access an app it automatically switches to the iPhone audio output and cuts of the fm radio. For example I am listening to radio but want to quickly check the weather app the audio switches to iPhone thinking I will need audio from phone so it shuts off the fm radio. Then I have to toggle through the source button to get back to fm audio. Has anyone ran into this issue? Is this a setting that can be changed on car or possible on phone. Any help will be appreciated, thank you.
You are not the only one the android play don't connect in mine too. I have a RAV4 and every time I get it asks me to connect or find my phone. It sucks. Toyota needs to fix and improve the software.
The lane centering nanny sounds crazy as hell. I wonder if the steering wheel sensor is in the 'luxury' package version of the car. Thanks for posting!
The connect issue is annoying. I’ve noticed if I turn the car on with my iPhone unlocked it ask to connect via phone. Yes, inconvenient, but better than having to go to settings > connect > phone > apply car play yes. What you said doing.
Man i get more happier with my 17 4runner every time I see these new toyotas. I love toyota but man you definitely can tell the quality cuts. Not missing much of anything new other than seeing and feeling the quality downhill lately. I remember checking out one at a dealer and the Sun glasses holder falls off. I thought to downgrade and save on gas, but the prices and then the quality cuts Will be my last toyota for sure which is a shame. My entune infotainment system may be considered outdated, but it connects flawlessly compared to the new infotainment system they have on Toyotas now. It’s certainly changed my mind on keeping what I have now.
I honestly don't get the hype behind AA/Carplay. I know where I'm going 99% of the time. Bluetooth audio is perfectly fine. What else are yall doing with the phone while driving?? The squeaks I might have looked at... I'd just turn off the lane centering anyway 🤷🏾
Same wireless carplay issue in my Corolla 2024 hybrid. Another issue is wrong GPS location, once I found my car inside of a lake(lake Ontario) !!! It's difficult when you're in the highway and GPS system of apple carplay is showing wrong info.... very destructive and it could be a reason of an accident.
I’m glad I have the 2.5 safety system versus 3.0. That would make me crazy having to turn the wheel off every 15 seconds for lane centering feature. I’ll bet most people turn that off.
I had an iphone xs as the only phone connected and had perfect wireless carplay connection, now with my pixel as the only phone connected I'm having to manually connect about 30% of the time
Recently traded my 2020 XLE for a 2025 SE. Big mistake. I'm a petite senior woman, who periodically checks my oil, but the 2025 has eliminated the hydraulic hood struts, replacing them with a prop. I'm unable to lift this beast, which, for me, is a total safety hazard. As for the multimedia screen, mine was completely black, failing to turn on. After a few complaints, the service department re paired my phone, and I now have Apple carplay, but I'm not happy that this has been changed to run off my iphone battery. When driving, I get a repeated annoying message to hold the steering wheel, when I'm holding the wheel! I'm also not crazy about the SE plastic/vinyl upholstery, as opposed to that of my XLE, and will never again purchase a car sight unseen, without first inspecting one on the lot.
My mom bought a 24 Venza about 6 months ago. She has the same connectivity issue with her iPhone though not as often. I have my phone paired also, an android, and it does it every time. I rarely drive it, but the few times I have, I have to go into the settings and turn on android auto every time like you mention.
I have the same problem with Bluetooth connectivity on my 24 Corolla XLE. I mostly solved it by always having my phone in sleep mode when turning on the car. Something about the phone being awake interfered with initiating the connection. It still fails to connect, but only about 3% of the time instead of 30%.
Cost to own? It would have been more informative if you obtained a quote for oil/ filter change from Toyota along with the oil change interval. That would good to know once Toyota care expires.
Had the 2025 LE for almost a month and so far I have had very little issues with android auto connecting automatically. Every now and again it fails to connect and usually I turn off the car and turn on again and it fixes it.. Sometimes it doesn't work however. I have the USB cables ready to be plugged in for the wired connection if I don't have time to mess with it and it's a quick solution. Hopefully a software update fixes this thing soon. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro phone
The cars with the Premium Plus package add a capacitive touch steering wheel so that package will eliminate the issue with the lane centering. The only issue is that package will push the car to $40k.
Hi sir, I love your review. I own a 2025 Camry LE AWD but from this week aim noticing issue with Miles per gallon is not working fine . Initially till last week it was showing 50 miles per gallon but staring this week it started showing 20 and jumping the values and not perfect. Have you noticed such issues. I tried resetting the trip meter but still see the same issue. Please can you comment
I have a 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid AWD, the wireless Apple CarPlay works like a charm but sometimes when I do want to disconnect from it it keeps connecting back automatically. Another feature I don’t like but it can be turned off is the PDA (proactive drivers assist). It’s too aggressive and was killing my mpg by a little. With it on I was averaging 38-39 mpg, off I’m averaging 41-43 mpg.
I traded in 23 camry due to extremely forward tilted headrest that was very uncomfortable for me, and it doesnt look likd they fixed it at all. My ES 300h headrest doesnt have that extreme forward tilt and is much more comfortable.
I have a 2024 highlander hybrid the “complimentary maintenance “ does not cover all maintenance just fyi Toyota will hide that from you cost 580$ to have a few filters changed pretty much only covers fluids, tire rotation, and that’s all
Don't hesitant or wait until Toyota dealership change Engine oil. They only change your car"s oil when it reaches 10,000 miles. That's bad for your engine. Change your engine oil after 500 miles, 5000 miles, and install Fumoto valve and let the dealership change oil. Toyota dealership frequently overfill engine oil, but you can drain some oil through the valve.
The Toyota master mechnic Car Care Nut (youtube) found his new 2025 Camry (personally bought) had a squeaky front dash. As he discussed: at a Japanese (in-country) assembly line the auto workers would have shut down production and solved the squeaky dash problem before the cars resumed production. There is a pride in their work that disappeared in the US a long time ago. In America the Toyota American Plants have adapted the "let the dealers fix the problems we create" attitude that has permeated and made a mockery of the "Quality is job one" commercials. (Madison Ave: always advertise your greatest weakness.)
Recently purchased 2025 Camry XSE within the past 2 weeks. I'm experiencing andriod auto automatically not connecting wirelessly to my cellphone 90% of the time. Any ideas to resolve my issue would be greatly appreciated. Other than that the Camry is has been a great drive.
Could be the smartphone problem? I'm having my Camry xse 2025 for 2 month now. I specifically use Android Auto on 3 days of the week, and the rest I only use Bluetooth (reason is I like to have the navigation arrow on my HUD lmao, the Google Map in Android Auto doesn't pass the navigation info to my console or HUD). But regardless I switch in and out from Android Auto pretty smooth, everything connected fast and nice. (I'm using Galaxy Fold 5 with Android version 14)
I got a great deal on an SE in Heavy Metal. Everything has worked as expected, but I am having the same phone pairing issue and have to go through the screens.
Great report, thank you! I want to buy a new car for longer trips, long freeway driving, stop and go traffic. So it must be quiet, comfortable, good stereo, and good lane keep assist and traffic jam/stop and go assist. I like the Camry a lot, but your report on the Camry lane keeping nagging is a big concern. Right now I'm thinking the Cadillac CT5 with Super Cruise is the best option, but really wanted some other options in the 35k to 60k price range. As a suggestion, if you guys could make a video with what you think are the cars with the best assistance features (least nagging cars other than Supercruise, Bluecruise, Tesla) I think the video would really interest many people. Thank you so much, your videos are excellent. PS your sound readings are excellent and very relevant to a driver like me!
I have the XSE Camry 2025. Runs great for sound, quiet, lane guidance tug on steering so very gentle, no concern whatsoever, etc. You can even take you hand off the wheel for 5 seconds and car steers itself. Drove > 1000 miles from Miami to Wash DC. Almost as nice as my LEXUS RX350. Completely comfortable. Two gasoline fill ups, getting way over 400+ miles per tank, holds 13 gallons.
I was expecting this video to also cover what it's like to drive day to day or certain times you've used it that stood out because of something good or bad. It's like someone asking you about the new book you've been reading and responding with the spine creaks when you open it a certain way and the font is a little hard to read.
Oh man, that Android Auto wireless connection issue is an absolute deal killer for me. Please keep us posted on that. Gonna hang onto my current car until this is worked out.
I have the 2025 XSE and there is no issue with Apple wireless connection. The dealer salesman set it up with me using photo ID scan with the VIN, to my phone. =Magic. Connects everytime.
Toyota quality has gone down, I really wish this car was built in Japan. I have a 2025 xse with premium plus for just over two months now and I also have the buzzing as well as other rattles that comes and goes. Before the camry, I had a 2017 mazda cx-5, Japanese built, and the interior quality is so much nicer than the camry, and quieter at freeway speeds too. I had that car for 7+ years, just over 101k miles and it barely has any rattles and squeaks. I still love the camry though, has a very comfortable supple ride even with the 19's. I did change the tires to more quieter ones, the stock bridgestones were so noisy.
I know a lot of people like to say the CX 50 is inferior because it was made in Alabama, but my CX 50 has no creeks or rattles! I do have occasional connection issues with the wireless Apple CarPlay though
Should’ve gotten a crown , that’s why I got mine cause it was made in Japan , I’m at 20k mileage in 8 months and no problems besides the connection issues with car play I had 2 Mazdas before this as well , great cars and no problems with them And definitely recommend continental Tires they’re stupid quiet compare to the Bridgestone

That's why they have Lexus to differentiate. But Japan quality is getting sucky lately
This didn't work for me, nor did rapidly tapping the screen. It was puzzling that when the salesman first paired my iphone, I had to enter a 6 digit password. After several complaints about the black screen, the service tech re paired my phone and there was no password requirement to do. so.
I appreciate this sort of video. Everyday consumers will spend years in their next car, so even though its only 3 months in it's great info
Thanks! That's why we do it!

IMO it looks worse when it's painted the body colour of the rest of the car. Doesn't look as bad in black.

What % of your driving is city versus highway?
About 75% of mileage is Highway, and the rest is City.
That is about what I get on for my fuel economy on gas camry as well. Then again if I mainly drove city then it would be much lower
Why not use Qi wireless charger?
@@2004cyrus Wondering as well.
I miss those 400 mile tanks in my 92 Nissan Sentra ;)
wow from SUV to sedan, that's refreshing to hear for once.
unless you are traveling long distance it might be faster to charge by a cable as opposed to wireless charger.
I just took delivery of my 2025 Camry XSE and I’m having the same connection issue. I’m currently at 400 miles

Thecarcarenut Highly recommends you still do a break in oil change to get the naturally occurring new engine metal shavings out of the engine.
I always do that
Absolutely! I brought my 2024 Camry in for an oil change at 2,111 miles. The service rep told me it wasn't due. I just told him that I'm the only one who gets to decide when it's due.

I turned off lane center assist in my 2024 Camry for the same reason. What’s the point if it yells at you if you’re not constantly fighting with it?
Same here. I never use that feature. Also, my 2019 Camrys interior only squeaks at a certain temp. Usually at around 40F or like 5C. Once the heater catches up the squeaks and rattles go away. 5 yrs 33,000 miles zero problems other than the fuel pump recall.

The Dynamica fabric trim just doesn't fit in an XLE. Looks very odd and we always get negative comments about it. Should be leather!
I've had the wireless Android Auto issue myself with my '24 Corolla LE, and keep a USB-C cable in the car specifically for this.
I've seen similar issues to the android auto issue. Usually it is because a device's OS fully boots before it turns on the peripherals such as the network devices. So it boots - says nothing is connected or accessible then it loads up the connections then says I'm connected or you'll have to connect now that the network is accessible.

Is this a dealer or manufacturer defect? Do other family drivers need to have their phone programmed to Toyota to use radio, car setting features, etc?
Rented a Camry SE two weeks ago and drove it 200 miles. I thought it felt a bit cheap, like a Corolla.
You guys have a cool plate. The black and white theme matches well with the exterior color, pretty smart.
I couldn't find anything on the Kentucky license page about business plates like that.
is the handoff between electric and gas smooth or do you hear any noises or vibrations??
Had one as a rental it was an SE, the transition is really smooth and it’s in electric mode a lot of the time which I really like.
Hyundais/ Kia and Honda have great tech. Can’t beat 50mpg and awd though. The Camry is still overpriced imho and needs to iron out some kinks
You can barely feel it. You can hear it if the audio is off.
Very smooth

Ive been having the same issue with the Wireless Apple CarPlay in my 25 SE I got on launch day and I swear it'll be the end of me. The Premium Plus package adds the capacitive touch steering wheel. So all you need to do is put your hand on the wheel.
The connect issue is annoying. I’ve noticed if I turn the car on with my iPhone unlocked it ask to connect via phone. Yes, inconvenient, but better than having to go to settings > connect > phone > apply car play yes. What you said doing.

The moonroof assembly in our 25 Camry XSE AWD Premium is being replaced due to an obnoxious rattle in warm/sun conditions. It had better work.

Change your engine oil after 500 miles, 5000 miles, and install Fumoto valve and let the dealership change oil. Toyota dealership frequently overfill engine oil, but you can drain some oil through the valve.
Is it just XSE? Or is it all the trim Camry models?
A squeak would drive me nuts.......😵💫😵💫😵💫
Life must be difficult if a squeak drives you nuts, grow up. Jeez
Well good for you
just don't buy a car if it freaks you out snowflake society coming up
@@Marquee_Gaming88 You got it winner.....you go ahead and walk around joyful with all the squeeks and breakdowns
@@michaelvella8511 Oh, yes, we know how nuts the snowflakes became after Trump won (a serious squeak to the World Order system).
We don't think so because we both have new phones. Ones a Samsung and the other is an iPhone but we both have the problem.
I got a great deal on an SE in Heavy Metal. Everything has worked as expected, but I am having the same phone pairing issue and have to go through the screens.
I have the exact same connection issue in my 2024 Tacoma . Hope they resolve the software issues soon.
Thank you! That's a great idea!
Has the tech issues been fixed and how how reliable is Toyota in updating their software? Seeing that Tesla is #1 in this area, I'd want to ask.
=Magic. Connects everytime.
that lane centering problem would drive me absolutely nuts! hope Toyota fixes it in a software update
Should’ve gotten a crown , that’s why I got mine cause it was made in Japan , I’m at 20k mileage in 8 months and no problems besides the connection issues with car play
I had 2 Mazdas before this as well , great cars and no problems with them
And definitely recommend continental
Tires they’re stupid quiet compare to the Bridgestone
@@cormaro13 Yeah I do like the crown too, but I wanted a sedan this time around, lower sleeker looking sedan and the camry fills that need lol I got Pirelli P zero AS 3 and they're super quiet now after about 1000 miles in them.
@@kinw5648 I got you , the crown ending winning me over cause of its luxury looks , full size and got it for 44k , but thanks for the note about the tires , I’ll check those out , I’m waiting to see how the cx50 is going to do with that Toyota hybrid paired to it
@@cormaro13 I heard about that too, and I wanted to stay with Mazda, but I'm tired of waiting haha
I’m having the same issue with the plastic piece on the head liner that will creak and buzz if I’m on a less than smooth road. Generally if I push on it it will quiet down for a while. This is on my 3 month old XLE.
Lane keep dosent need you to turn the wheel in the premium plus xle fyi
I have 25 LE and have the same problem in addition cruise control not working if you don't have your seat built-in.
the most annoying thing that it turns off when u open the door, if it turned on via remote start
After owning my toyota for mostly 3 years, I'v had the same issue with the phone connection issues with my Toyota for the last couple of months, though I'm not using android auto but directly connecting it to the Toyotas own system
Black and white plates are popular. In minnesota they cost $30 extra over the standard annual $54 fee.
Where's the CD player?
Yeah, I'm old. 😂
I need a cassette player! 😂
@@AllenReinecke 8 track! 🙂
My 2021 RAV4 did the same thing with the Android Auto. Now I have a 2024 RAV4, and I'm still having the same problem with the Android Auto 🤦🏽♂️
I have so much static in my Bluetooth feature when Im on the phone and the air conditioning is operating that I have to get of the phone. Any feedback?
