    Jeff has taught me enough about windows that I was able to order great windows for my home through my dealer. I ordered the Windsor pro series windows and I’m excited to get them to replace my 33 year old Anderson windows. Thank you Jeff for all your wisdom on the products you sell.

    Great points about the glass. That’s true, that sometimes all these flagship window companies use the same materials in their windows, like the smaller window manufacturers do, but they always charge a premium just for their name

    Very informative. You need to pass that business and work ethic to others. Start a seminar and you could very well have businesses across the country. My husband and I live in MD and have had window people our twice and both times we had to ask them to leave after hours of hard selling. We have a sunroom filled with 8 eight ft Andersen Windows half of them have lost their seal and the others will soon do the same. We think what happens is they see us as desperate so they keeping hammering at us. We would have had been delighted to have someone from a company such as yours. You are an amazing business man rare these days! Thank you for the video- I have watched all of yours. Keep educating us.

      Probably between 20-25 years. We had one company recently set up a time for an appt and the kid first called to change the time for 3 hours later in the day. Then he doesn't show without even a call or text to tell us. So we call his manager and they didn't know he changed the times and wasn't there then. It's things such as that which makes it hard to get my husband to even sit down with a company.

    • @gregcorwin8316
      @gregcorwin8316 3 роки тому

      @@scarlettstrong7997 There should be an Andersen logo on a lower corner of the glass with a date code on it. If the date is less than 20 years, they are under warranty and you need to contact Andersen and tell them what you are seeing..
      If the date is longer than 20 years then they are out of warranty, but if the frames are good you might be able to replace just the IGU and not the entire window if you so choose.
      Seeing multiple unit seal failure, even on windows much older than 25 years, is extremely rare for the IG system used in the Andersen windows. Why do you think that the others will also be failing soon?

    Jeff, The Pella 350 series is designed to accept dual or triple pane glass, hence the thicker sash. AND removing the stops does not permit the glass to fall out rendering the window insecure, you still need to release the glass from the epoxy bond to the interior inside face of the the IG seat. That was misleading and I bring it up because its the same on the 250 series. I would advise you edit your report as the majority is very informative but should be truthful. AND 2 year labour is included in the warranty.

I would like black/black but am finding most vinyl are black exterior white on the interior. • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  2 роки тому

      Thank you for watching and for your question. The problem with going with a black vinyl window that is also black on the interior, is it the price is so high that you might as well consider going to an extruded aluminum product at that point.
      For about the cost of a black on black vinyl window, you could go ahead and consider buying an NT aluminum window, a Don Young aluminum window, or the Pella and Impervia fiberglass window.
      I would look into those options as well.

    Do you know anything about Alliance Hawthorne series vs Anderson 200 vs Simonton Impression series. And we want a wood grain laminate if we go with vinyls to match the stained frames we have in the house. Will the laminate curl or wear or tear as we have two dogs too.

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  3 роки тому +1

      I am not familiar with alliance at all. I do believe that the Anderson 200 would be the best product of the three you mentioned. It is made out of real wood. I used to sell the simonton products that had the simulated wood grain interior but found him to be very fake looking and easily damaged. Having a couple of dogs May make things worse for the durability of that window. Thank you for watching!

      @@HoustonWindowExperts thanks for the quick reply honestly I wish u were in Michigan. I’m leaning towards the Anderson’s personally might be work to stain them but I want a good window as we never plan on moving from this house we’re in. The original windows are still in the house built 86 era and their all wood and the outside has been painted and they’ve taken a beating. So rather than have them repainted I just wanna get em replaced, and I’m only talking about the backside of the house 13 windows and a new patio door, now it’s a French and I want a slider and got quoted for an Anderson 400 series door too. I don’t want white vinyl in the inside as all the trim is stained so I want it to match.

    • @dml510
      @dml510 3 роки тому +1

      And Anderson’s being he price they are we may only do now like 8 that are pretty beat up plus the door just for cost measures. Idk if that’s something you’d recommend but I get everyone’s finances are different. I’d tell ya the price but don’t wanna post it, but I’m sure you can figure it out being in window business and all p, the installer comes highly recommended so I’m good with that.

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  3 роки тому +2

      Coze is the name they gave to the Cardinal glass. Andersen calls it Low-e 4. (Low-e triple coat PLUS Argon = 4).
      Almost every manufacturer will give it their own proprietary came. The reason they do that is so that when you go to Google search for that proprietary name you keep running into their website instead of another company's website. However, the glass is still made by Cardinal Glass in most cases.

Really think about what is important to you and get those points checked off, when it's all said and done you are the one that is going to have to live with them.
