Russo is nowhere near as bad as he’s made out to be. He’s far from perfect, but the WWF AND TNA enjoyed their highest ratings when he was writing and producing. And who knows what woulda happened in WCW if the older paranoid wrestlers like Hulk and Flair woulda bought into his plans, and wasn’t a victim of the good ol boys network within WCW’s power structure. I remember the first Nitro when he took over. WCW was struggling hard before he arrived, and he instantly made it a much more entertaining show, by giving EVERYONE a storyline, and making them bigger “characters”. Me personally, I thought Hulk Hogan’s character, pulling up in his all black Charger & cussing everyone out was some of Hogan’s best work. Feuding him with Kidman was questionable to say the least, but I couldn’t NOT watch! 😂🤷🏾‍♂️

Agreed. Although I still think him and Ed Ferrara writing together were the reason for the magic. Creative minds who fed off each other. He wasn't with Russo long in WCW if memory serves. But anyone who birches about their 1998-99 WWF material either wasn't even born then or didn't live thru it like we did. 1998 RAWs were must-see for a reason.
