Maybe I am crazy, but getting a second husky was the best thing I've ever done! They run each other out and busy themselves with each other when I can't. Its like two treadmills trying to compete with each other all the time lol.
It was probably the smartest thing you've ever done. Huskies are bread too work in teams, so they are one of the breeds that need at least one pack mate. Especially if you're gone a lot.

@@madmadammeag5141 These guys are go-go-go all day. It pays off having an area for them to run, because walks are not enough for these suckers. I fully believe they need to be able to bolt full speed, and they will run for most of the day when they aren't sleeping.
I remember when I initially had one, I ran into another husky owner on a walk with three. They insisted I must be a first-time owner because I dared to only have one, and that I should get a second one. I didnt believe him.. not at first. "How could two demons be better than one?" That guy was a smart man lol.

It's the first time I've seen a husky with all the looks but the size of a shiba inu 😆I've never been so confused and in awe at the same time. Give lots of pats to your cute doggos for us!

I love the Husky looks, and manner, but I know my limits and could never be active enough. I have a cousin in Ottawa who has 4, or maybe it’s 5 by now, huskies. She does all kinds of sports with them, including Agility even.

I fostered a pair of huskies along with my pair of saint bernards. That was the spring when I learned that residential vacuums aren't meant for that kind of abuse lol

@@opimus , I have had 2 female long-haired Saint Bernard's (aka "roughcoat", an inelegant term for dogs with soft beautiful fur). They actually didn't drool very much (so-called "drymouth" Saints; and females generally drool less than males) but they sure did shed a lot. My big Shepherd/Dobie/Rottie mix drooled more than the Saints did, at least when he smelled food.
Debra, I've had Saint Bernard's and German Shepherds, now I have Anatolian shepherds. We also foster dogs on occasion. My advice is to avoid bagless vacuum cleaners. Vacuum cleaners with bags will last longer because all vacuums use air cooled motors, and a bagless vac lets way too much grit and dirt pass through the motor, wearing it out prematurely ---- The bagless vacuum cleaners fluff up the hair in the chamber and so it looks like they're collecting a lot when there's really very little to it and you can squeeze that big fluff of hair down into almost nothing in your hand. By contrast, I have to change the bag in my vacuum every 4 or 5 weeks because it is stuffed absolutely full. I have a German made Sebo vacuum cleaner, 6 years old, that has never needed a belt or service other than changing the filter. (5 year warranty on the motor and a lifetime warranty on the belt!)
I go through about one vacuum per year. I had two huskies for years. I now have 3! They are totally worth it!

When my friend got her husky, breeders told her it’s easier if she took two than one because they’ll keep each other company… she stuck to one and he’s really crazy 😂😂😂

The breeder was right. Huskies are pack dogs and so they actually will have less anxiety and be better behaved if you have a pair. That is most likely why Snowy is so well behaved in this video.
It is indeed better to have 2. The biggest issue with that, though, is the added cost of a second dog. Huskies aren't cheap.

That clip at the end is why you have two Huskies. They're incredibly social and want to play constantly. Having a brother or sister gives them a tussle buddy.

It's not a husky is the answer. Americans just call about 12 different breeds husky. Karelian bear dog, village dogs, Jämthund, Norrbottenspets, Siberian Laika. Literally had 7 "Huskies" at our vet clinic tested who were sold under 100% "club" licensed. What breeders say is literal nonsense, and those "clubs" are just a paid sticker.

So fun story, this morning my friend was alerted by her husky that the other two got out and were roaming the neighborhood, so if you say having two makes you crazy, think of how hectic your life would be with 3 of them.

Huskies play so hard together with other huskies. It is sometimes difficult to tell they are 'just' playing.
I watch an internet channel with several Husky/Malamutes and my GOOODNESS playtime is athletic and intense.
Yes my Malamutes look like they might be killing each other then just drop on top of each other and sleep. Yet with me they know it’s only gentle and act so sweet.
I had three boys, now just two since our oldest passed away. Our boys are unnaturally calm, at least outside of a bathing situation 😂
You made it sound like 2 real human sons have passed away, rather than 2 dogs 😂

True. It’s not their aggressive dogs it’s just that they have a mind of their own. It’s interesting that the grooming lady points out that really they don’t need grooming. It’s just that they shed like hell. I had a collie mix for years and she was an absolute fur monster in terms of shedding. But she had a Labrador in her and they should like crazy.
But then again, it is a lot easier to brush your dog on a regular basis than it is to have to take them to the groomers to be shaved every five minutes. And yes you do and are producing your own cloud of hair as you’re busily brushing your dog outside . People may wonder what the hell is going on when the grooming lady is wearing the beekeepers outfits, but believe me I totally get why she does because if you have a dog which is shedding like crazy wherever you are is going to get covered in dog hair real quick.
On the other hand, I have a dog with a decent coat, makes life a lot easier when you live in a cold climates or somewhere with generally crap weather. Because you know when you take her for a walk you’re not worry about them freezing to death you’re the one freezing to death not the dog
As a Husky owner of 30+ years, I know that, as with alll dog breeds, they become whatever training, socialization and knowing you are alpha of the "pack" let's them be. Many owners encourage their puppies to howl, thinking it cute for awhile. I have never had a noisy husky, my neighbors can vouch for it. 😁
Having two dogs is almost always a good thing. They are pack animals that need all the social interaction they can get!

My husky is unusually quiet and well behaved. I often think of getting her a friend but scared it would be too much. She would def be less lonely as playing is her love language! She’s super sweet, polite and beautiful and the shedding really hasn’t bothered me as much as thought. They are such clean dogs otherwise. She puts a smile on my face every time. Yay for Huskies!!

@@jayclearmen411 Um… I think she knows her dog better than you - some stranger online. Most dogs love to be around other dogs and it’s an exception when a dog thrives more as an ‘only child’. I’m sure she will make the best choice for her dog.
We have a mellow husky as well. She was dog number 3 for us, so she has built in playmates. We’re not sure if we just lucked out or the other dogs help use up her husky energy. Either way, she’s an awesome dog.
I am also blessed with a mellow Husky she is well behaved, listens 85% of the time, and she was also the third dog for us. My other two dogs were already seniors when I got her. She is now 4 and I was thinking of getting a puppy for her to play with, but I am scared it will make her revert to puppy mode and she’ll stop listening. I do groom her once every three months and the shedding is so under control. Definitely worth the money.
I love her boyfriend. He is so supportive, and you can tell he loves the puppers as much as she does.

I've been around huskies before, and they're hilarious dogs. So I can imagine having 2 would be extra fun. Especially when they sing opera and talk funny 🤣

I had two huskies! I had them, and two rottweiler/mastiff mixes. One husky died a few years ago, though. The remaining husky is 17 years old now, and she's still noisy and loves to run and eat snow. She just can't do it as much as she used to, and is finally starting to slow down in her old age. (But not be any quieter!) She's also amazing for grooming and surprisingly well behaved and I've gotten lots of compliments about her. She complains about getting her nails clipped, buuuuuttt if she doesn't sing the song of her people at least once, she'd have to revoke her Husky card.

I had two huskies until a few weeks ago when one died. They were siblings and absolutely loved each other and made it easier for us since they ran around with each other instead of us.

though perhaps when they get to exercise the task they were bred for they are a bit less high-energy in their freetime
(and you can stuff your mattress with that amount of shedded furr, you will never be cold again)

The end of the video reminds me of my boys. I have two Maremmas and they play rough. They’ll be a biting snarling mess then split apart for a break with tails wagging and panting grins. Then dive in again for more snarling and biting.

I would definitely be on the crazy list. I have 2 Huskies and neither one were planned. I found the 1st one just over 4 years ago wandering around on the interstate. The other I found laying in a ditch just over a year ago after being hit by a car. I never knew a dog could be such a big baby as these 2 are. I wouldn't know what to do without them they are so entertaining but going through 3 vacuums in 4 years does get to be little tough.

Snowy!!! ive walked her before cause she's mu brother's partner's dog. she torpedo-jumped right at our faces when I went to visit them all last. you'd be right to say she likes the snow-her and her brother were out for a walk and kept jumping around on icy patches of it, and i was informed by her mom that 'they must be trying to get to the fish they think is under the ice....'

It would be really cool if you did a video talking about how to properly bathe a dog- I have a small miniature golden doodle who’s fur does require routine grooming, but her mischief and fur often requires a weekly brushing and an occasional bath. I would love something talking about good shampoos and proper brushing techniques. I always feel like I’m doing it wrong!

I love huskies so much, you don't understand. They're so cute and dramatic and loud and i think i relate to the latter two traits a lot. Anyway, i do also see how caring for them can be quite difficult, especially for grooming. But then I watch videos of them like this and I'm like 🥺💖. Snowy and her brother are big babies. 🥺💖
Huskies are my favourite dog and I've desperately wanted one since I was a kid. Once I realised just how much exercise they truly need, that wish has dwindled, and I think the grooming videos have confirmed I'm not cut out for them XD

I had two Pomeranians that passed away who I loved ever so much. The dog I have now is a Husky I went from small to big, I couldn't be happier with my fluff giant. He is smart and believe it or not no singing.
