I'd love your feedback on the video (slow/fast/on point)?
Is there anything you like to see broken down into further detail in another tutorial?

Mark Harrison heyyy! Literally been watching and have loved most of your videos, but never knew you lived in Montreal. 🥺Been looking for other YTbers to link up with since I moved here. Don’t know if you’d be up for that after this quarantine break. This video was absolutely helpful btw! Thank ya!☺️

I would have like to see some more creativity. So for the animation thing we could have a little light orb dart across the scene for like a supernatural thing. So you sitting in bed at night, light orb darts across the room, we hear the usual Hollywood sound effect that da-da-da-da-da on a violin, light orb goes into cupboard and you get up to investigate the cupboard, end scene. Give me my Emmy! Of course the argument is whether you make it good or make it savy for the home user wanting to make youtube videos.
YES! please make a video on "picture in the picture" !!!

Thanks so much for the kind words :)
I'm using Final Cut Pro for almost half a year now and I thank you for this tutorial.. I will surely use this for my vlogs..
Love your no nonsense tutorials! Definitely saves me from buying too many plug-ins. FCPX rocks!
Yes brother! There are so many crappy plug-ins out there too... I only ever recommend the ones that are tried and true :)
cant explain how much this video has helped me! i literally used every single aspect covered in this video. thanks so much!
It's been years since I did any filming/editing and these videos have me stoked to get back into it again for my job.
Best fcpx tutorials flat out. Good job and thank you mate
Thanks Mark. New Mac and Final Cut user here and slowly picking up what you're putting down. Keep the vids going! Thanks for the work.
Glad your finding them useful! Hopefully the rest of the playlist is good for you as well :)
Thanks for these tutorials! These are so fricken helpful, especially because you’re demonstrating these tips using real situations - SO much better than just theory tutorials. Keep ‘em coming!
as an amateur content creator with no FCPX experience, this is a fantastic find. thank you
Dude, Your channel is pure gold.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you very much. I''ve just started with FCPX from iMovie. Your tutorials really helped me a lot. You make it much easier than it looks like. I am eager to see the next tutorial!!
I started from iMovie too. you can do so much for on fcpx! I just wish you could use it on older Macs
You are very good in short explanations for complete informations ! Congratulations from France 🇫🇷
Stumbling around the internet looking for useful information to help me learn editing on FCPX, and I came across this video. At first, I almost skipped, because you were trying to sell the "chill" thing... but I stuck it out. Glad I did. 14 minutes and 27 seconds later and I'm a subscriber. Useful and concise information.
Thank you.
I might even buy the chill thing. Actually, it looks pretty cool (pun intended).
I actually cannot believe how truly powerful this software is... You, sir, have just helped me up my editing game! Thank you!
The two tubes was dope. Excellent use of simple built-in features.
This video helped me out more than you can know. Thanks for posting it!
The reasons why I watch this video and other FCPX videos from Mark are Mark, I have lots of time, I might use FCPX in the future or not, and I am curious about FCPX. And yes, in those particular order. ☺
hahaaha
This is such an earnest, thoughtful and well-presented deep dive. Also it made me lie down when I think about how much time some of these tips would have saved me.
This is pure gold thanks mark!
Glad it helped!

You literally have the best tutorials on youtube, subscribed!!
Absolutely brilliant starter tutorial, especially as it majors on the built in stuff. Thanks for taking the time to share this.
Fantastic video! Looking forward to more content!
Good tips! Good pacing on the video. That's a lot easier way to bring in a title or logo with some motion than what I was doing previously!
You're going to love my tutorial tomorow then! All about titles!
Well, I’m saving this video and subscribing and going to watch the ones I missed.
5:39 "We'll try to line up the two tubes exactly..."
Here is a technique that's faster and more precise than trial and error repositioning with Transform tool:
1 Apply the cross-dissolve between the two clips first, rather than after positioning
2 Move to the center of the crossfade. Here, each clip is at 50% opacity, in effect superimposing them
3 Drag the Position keyframe on either clip, so the tubes overlap exactly as desired
I do this all the time when editing dead space between songs in a music performance--keeping the performer in roughly the same position during the transition for example.
Smart :) Thx for this

Wow! I have FCP as well and I’m only using 1% of it! Awesome video! Thanks!
Using and knowing about the .png files are awesome for posting in videos. I have paint shop pro and make my own. Usually go to images on Google or Bing and drag any object I would like to add. Even it i'ts .jpg file (try to get with just a white background) and knock the white out, and then save as a .png file. Great video! thanks for sharing.
Great tip!
