I tried to do the sliding clone transition and I got it all the way up to the part after adding the key frame and moving it to the left and It didnt work :( I am also super new at this but not sure what went wrong.
I don't know if you know anything about streaming but do you think you could show us how to make stinger transitions. I looked it up and its usually only after effects and stuff
every time I try to follow step by step there's always a small difference that really matters like the playhead bar being in the middle of the clip that was cut out and mine having to be at the beginning

Useful video, but it would be good if you had a cursor circle to make it clearer where your cursor is as its almost impossible to see when someone is working really quickly.
