- Join us for my first ever visit to the iconic Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, know as the "roller coast," as we ride so many of the most iconic rides & coasters including Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millenium Force, GateKeeper, Magnum XL-200, Iron Dragon & MORE!! We take in the ambience and seaside atmosphere, ride the Sky Buckets, see live music, eat so much delicious food as we purchased the meal plan, and do both day rides and night rides! We are also there for the opening day of Cedar Point Nights, a summer beach party and luau, with special food, glowing drinks, a big DJ dance party on the beach and so much special fun! Such an incredible, magical first visit to Cedar Point, I hope you love it as much as I did!!

I think my favorite thing about this summer series is how much you can feel that you’re both genuinely enjoying this . Your vlogs have a different feel than so many others , you can feel that you both really appreciate what you are doing and it comes across . Magnum is my favorite in the park…that’s where it all started….I love the roughness and the insane bunny hills at the end…to think that every piece of the track was bent and welded without the use of computers….love it.
That Barn driving up to Sandusky is just iconic, im glad I saw that in the beginning of the video~
The first time might not always be that pleasurable but it likely gets better each time thereafter.
I visited way back in 2017, and it’s still one of the best days at a theme park I’ve ever had. From the minute you pull up to the gate and you see so many coasters just towering over you, it’s just a park like no other.
And the gatekeeper just going over the sign, augh, too wonderful

Cedar Point is most definitely not a Theme Park. It’s an amusement park.
Thank you for shining a light on these local parks in Ohio and rekindling some childhood memories. My daughter is old enough to start riding these bigger coasters so it feels like a trip Kings Island and Cedar Point is needed.

Wow, Jackie, this one's a masterpiece! It was so well planned, shot, and cut. The intro drew me in, your cuts so well placed while describing your experience or attractions, both of you giving your ride reviews while sharing ride photos, and laughing hard during your excited language correction. We live 2 hours from Cedar Point and go several times a year. Hotel Breakers is a historic and beautiful gem that I adore and look forward to staying at every year for the past 10 years. I don’t care much about the rides anymore at 49, but the hotel is what I keep going back for.
If you told me Cedar Point was the result of someone betting another person that if they could put more than 10 rollercoasters on the tip of a narrow peninsula, they'd get a million dollars and ownership of the park...I'd believe you. They don't call it the rollercoaster capital of the world for nothing!
But if you love coasters with seaside views, I recommend the Cyclone at Coney Island. It's a wooden coaster that's been around since 1927 and it is a NYC-designated landmark. By it is the Wonder Wheel, another NYC-designated landmark, which was the inspiration for the Pixar Pal-A-Round at DCA!

Another fun theme park adventure! Disney and Universal get all the hype (rightfully so!), but there are so many theme parks and amusement parks all across the country that are just as awesome in different ways

Great video! I grew up going here and while Disney World is the best in theme parks, Cedar Point is unmatched in Amusement Parks

While Cedar Point is the second oldest, the oldest continuously operating amusement park is Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT outside Hartford
Oh I always dreamed to be at Disney everyday. Cedar Point is my home park and I guess you always want what you can’t have! Cedar Point is one of, if not the best amusement park on the planet and I am blessed to have that so close to me.

As a Cedar stand, this park is amazing! It's a lot different than the others. Seems so beautiful and tons of great coasters. Would love to visit this park one day. Loving this series!
It’s so different, I had no idea how special it was until I was standing there breathing the lake air and hearing the seagulls!

You nailed describing the lap bar on the Magnum. I don't think any ride leaves bruises like that.
I did end up having a bruise from it!
Didn't use to be that way. Back when it first opened, it was much smoother and lap bars were way more comfortable. Age has definitely made it a rougher ride.
This has been mine and my husband's home park for a long time. so glad you guys enjoyed it! Definitely stay at breakers when you can. it is expensive but it's worth being able to walk right out the hotel door and into the park.
We’ll keep checking every time we visit, it seems to always be booked up. For how historic and beautiful it is, I’d def save up and pay!
Yes. Hotel Breakers is great. Also the cabins in Lighthouse Point are good too. The cabins are like your own little home, for the same price as Breakers. The cabins are quieter too.

So glad you had the chance to show off Cedar Pointe. I had the privilege of going there every year through my childhood 70's-80's and then some. You tend to take for granted what's in your own backyard!!

You definitely chose the perfect time to come to these parks. Cedar Point is known as essentially Mecca for coaster enthusiasts, but during your visit, this looked more like a full, charming, classic amusement park. Live entertainment does so much to brighten up a theme park day. So glad you got to see that and show us.

I've been going to cedar point my whole life. I'm 32, and it has a big place in my heart with ALOT of memories. It's a joy to see someone document their FIRST time going! glad you guys had a great time! You'll have to go during Halloweekends. Now THATS a special time.
Absolutely love CP we go there pretty much every year sometimes multiple times a year… never gets old!
This brings back great memories. I used to arrange and chaperone church youth group trips here. Everyone always had a fantastic time.

Yes! Been waiting for you guys to get here. I haven’t been to CP in ages, but I can confirm that Mean Streak was ROUGH. My fav memory from my first trip to CP was on Magnum when my sister told me to close my eyes and open them when I thought I was at the top. I waited for what felt like forever to open my eyes thinking I’d show her, but we were still only 3/4 of the way up. 🤣
What could be better than an amusement park on a beach!!!!
The covered bridge was a from the antique cars they just removed last winter to make the restaurant There used to be Two separate tracks for the cars. One set they took out when they built maverick. Been a pass holder for the last 15 years or so.
There actually used to be THREE car rides at this park
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv There were turnpike cars where the blue strea entrance was at across from the old pirate ride. They had two separate tracks also. Was Also a jet ride which you controlled going up and down.
We still have the Cadillac Cars on the main Midway. The Antique Cars will be missed by my family.

For any of the harness over the shoulder coasters, I always pin my ear rings to the bag I bring and set it in the box they have there. ❤ Steel Vengeance is amazing!

I learned when I was a tween riding crockscrew. My ear rings (studs) would stab into my head, and I always keep my hair braided. You guys did amazing on the video and going to the back and working your way to the front! 🥰

Jackie, my first rollercoaster was the mine train ride at cedar point back in the early 70s, I didn't go on the Blue Streak because I was scared, I was 7 at the time! I loved Cedar Downs but to me the best ride was the Earthquake dark ride, which has been gone for a while. I still remember pieces of the sets falling in towards you, the smell of smoke, a section of the ride went through Chinatown, all the fireworks going off. There were no gorillas escaping from cages though! lol Its funny how you remember very distinct things from the past.
I also really love cedar point its amazing there.
I grew up in northeast ohio. Spent my summers going to cedar point, geauga lake and sea world. Fun times
Glass blowing, yay! We loved watching that at Dollywood. Thanks for adding that little blurb about it in this fun filled video! It's our new favorite fascination. We're addicted to a glass blowing competition show on Netflix called Blown Away, too.

That line for Maverick was insane! We got lucky amd went in the beginning of June. The smile on Sam's face, he was in a coaster's paradise!

I didn’t realize cedar point was right on the water! Our kids are older and we are starting to take amusement park trips. This has been added to our list! Loving the road trip!
I didn’t fully realize it either, it has this magical vintage seaside feel that is so special when you’re actually there!! I tried hard to make it come through in this vid bc I’ve never seen anyone else focus on that aspect & it was EVERYTHING to me!!

We were waiting for this one! Loved the vlog and so happy it lived up to your expectations! I'm also excited that you included Cedar Downs. I have a pic of my dad and I on it in 1977 when I was 4 (when it didn't have a height requirement lol). Now I get to enjoy it with my own family.
Keep on rolling. I work with special needs kids/adults and this has truly been the highlight of my days watching these adventures. It gives me great ideas for taking our wish folks on trips they can enjoy. Love the parks, hotels and interesting places. Keep on going we're addicted to watching it now.

There is a wonderful hotel with a large indoor water park called kalahari resort. It's about 10 miles from cedar point. Better for adults than great wolf lodge African themed
I remember going in 2018 in late October and by the time it was dark it had gotten foggy our last ride was Valravn and I kid you not once we hit the top we could not see the bottom everything was very clouded as if we were on top of the clouds great experience.
I'm so very glad that you were able to visit Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast :). It's our home park and have such amazing memories of spending days there with the family. Every time we visit, we have to hit up Frontier Trail and do the "dip your own candles" activity.
I'm glad you had fun at my home park. Next time you have to ride Raptor, and eat at the Backyard BBQ near Magnum.
Haven’t been to Cedar Point in 22 years, when Millennium Force opened that summer. Definitely gotta go. No doubt if I can survive Leviathon here at Canadas Wonderland, I can survive Millennium Force.

I’m a pass holder at CP and absolutely love steal vengeance. It’s a completely different feel at night vs during the day. Every ride there is fantastic, I don’t know how they are going to top steal when they decide to add a new big coaster. It made very good use of the old mean streak track

I have been meaning to watch this for a while. It was cool to watch. I grew up going there every summer. I still get back occasionally as an adult. Definitely the best place to go for coasters.

Cedar point is amazing ! I just moved back from Tampa to Michigan and It’s only two hours from my house. We used to go all the time when we were younger ! Can’t wait to go back , so many good coasters
that was our "go to" Park when we were growing up!! as adults we started hitting up the islands!! lots of adult fun there. love that you loved Cedar Point!!
