This message wasn't just for LeBron. This message was for anyone who thinks it only gets easier after High School. This message is for anyone that thinks that they can just walk on and make the NBA. I see so many high school athletes, that don't study, that just focus on the sport, thinking that they can play in college, then just get picked up professionally. Reality check! You probably won't make it. I see this video as Micheal Jordan apologizing for making it seem easy. Because he knows, and he's shared that its anything but. MJ was one of the greatest. He was so good, he had to come back and apologize for making it look easy. There can only be one Micheal Jordan.

    MJ vs LeBron
This is a silly debate. Clearly Michael is better. It's not even a close one. But let's go to the facts. Updated after Lebrons 14th season. Michael Jordan has
    •3 more rings
    •3 more final mvps
    •1 more DPOY
    •1 more season MVP
    •9 more scoring titles
    •3 more steals leader
•3 more all defensive team selections
•4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer lol.
    •800 more steals
•Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10)
•Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals
    Lebron did it twice
    •6/6 (never allowed a game 7)
    •Lebron had much more help
•Jordan never had a teammate averaged more than 22 points in the finals..
Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26
•MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs
•MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games..
All of this accomplished in 13 seasons
Lebron is in his 14th season still chasing the "ghost that played in Chicago"
•Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg.
(86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics.
•Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line.
•in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this.
•the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%.
    •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3%
•MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3.
•MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9%
•MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year..
Seriously this list can keep going. This isn't even a debate. Mj is the GOAT.
Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls:
    -10 STRAIGHT scoring titles,
-Won Defensive Player of the Year,
    -9 times all defensive team,
    -9time All NBA,
    -5 league MVPs
    -6 finals MVPs
LBJ missed the playoffs completely in his first 2 years. Jordan didnt with scrubs on his squad. Jordan played 82 games 9 times in his career once at 40. LBJ only played 82 games once. In 89 Jordan won the scoring title all star MVP slam dunk title regular season MVP and Defensive Player of The year something LBJ has never done. Jordan also averaged 41 pts a game for an entire Finals shootimg 50% and won. Something else LBJ never did.
All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career...
And before you criticize me for copy and pasting just know that it doesn’t matter if it’s copied or not, truth is truth.
    Check Mate.

  • @akg4y
    @akg4y 10 років тому +44

LeBron will be the second or third best player by stats when he finishes, but in terms of heart and individual skills, nobody is even close to Jordan. Jordan's story, from start to finish, is the stuff of legend. From being cut in high school, the flashy freshman championship winner at UNC, not being drafted first, breaking his foot in his second season, dropping 63 on Bird in the playoffs, the Pistons rivalry, The Jordan Rules, beating Magic (couldnt have been scripted better) after losing game 1 of his first finals, beating Barkley while laying down >40 a game in the Finals, the first 3 peat in ages, his father getting murdered, his not-so triumphant late season return, then ANOTHER 3-peat with a dominance in a 72-10 season that the NBA has never seen and may never see again... it was legen- wait for it... -DARY.
LeBron is good. Heck, LeBron is GREAT, but he's not the stuff of Jordan, because nobody is. He may or may not win as many championships, but he wont go undefeated in them. He joined a team with superstars simply to take the easy route to a championship, Jordan took his lumps for *years* and made his teammates rise up to the occasion to win it for the city that backed him from Day 1. He left the game for 2 years and came back still as the most dominant player in the game. He shot 57% as a SHOOTING GUARD one year. He shot over 50% for his career if you dont count the unfortunate last year as a Wizard, unheard of in today's game with players that rely on athleticism rather than a combination with skill. Put him at point guard? He gets 10 triple doubles in 11 games. NBA's all defensive team? No doubt. NBA defensive player of the year? Yep. Leading the league in scoring and steals? Yep.
LeBron's legacy unfortunately is shaping up to be "The announcement," "The flop," and "The cramp." He's a better player than his haters give him credit for, but in 20 years Jordan will remain a household name, LeBron will be the guy in trivia questions.

The game had evolved to something different from that era and a lot of Jordan's hand checking would keep him in foul trouble. And let's not forget that while he was powerful at point guard & the most explosive jumper, he was not particularly fast (referencing foot speed, not agility). His powerful leaping and agility made him look faster on offense than his actual footwork. On defense he slowed a lot of players down with his hand checks. This was how Allen Iverson cross over was so effective, he was a rare breed that fronted Jordan instead of turning & giving him a hip to push. This leads more to question him containing a fast powerhouse like Westbrook.

      Tarik Smith
Speaking as someone who grew up watching/studied Jordan(fav basketball player of all time), knowing his game in and out I believe I can take this. To your point about Westbrook, you have to keep in mind that Jordan studied everybody that he guarded. I can pretty much guarantee you Michael would have schooled Westbrook just like everyone else. The great thing about Jordan was he always found what your weakness was and like my fav QB of all time Peyton does with defenses, once he finds it he will abuse you all night long. Westbrook maybe very fast and agile but at most times its to a fault, which is why like Derrick Rose he stays on IR.
With Westbrook all you have to do is give him space and make him shoot ie why he is nicknamed Westbrick. The Spurs have been figured this out and that's why they always beat them, so in a sense I can't believe you used Westbrook as a argument. To your point about Iverson, as you also should know that only happened once and the next play right after that crossover, Michael with his back to Iverson juked him so bad he left him standing at the 3 point line as he dunked it. To your point about hand checking, you have to also include the entire picture of that era because one thing pertains to another. Meaning the game was much more physical back thing so hand checking was more necessary.
So for you to use that as argument isn't smart because its not like Jordan was the only one who did it. He did it because it was available to use and if it was removed he would have found another way. Just because you use something that is available for you to use that is later removed doesn't make it a weakness as you are trying to make it seem. So in general if Jordan played in today's game, based on what he was able to do in a much tougher era, fouls weren't called every 5 seconds, he would be putting up Wilt Chamberlain points.

People need to understand Lebron played in CLEVELAND. Bird played in Boston, Jordan played in Chicago, Kobe and Magic played in LA. Its very easy to get people to move to those cities however you cant get anybody worthwhile to move to Cleveland. Lebron tried to get Wade and Bosh to come to Cleveland but Wade told Lebron "dude its Cleveland, that place is a dump why dont you come to Miami where the weather is nicer and theres a lot more to do" and so Lebron left. Who wants to be in Cleveland whre its 10 degrees and snowing right now when you can be in Miami where its 78 and breezy.

I have read some of the comments and I disagree with some of you. IMO Jordan is better then LJ. Everyone has said with out Pippen and Rodman, Kerr, Jackson and so on MJ wouldn't be as good. Well least MJ stayed and was loyal to the team that drafted him. He didn't run for "help" to win. They got that through the draft and trades. That is why I hate LJ he had to "run" to another team to win. No one did that ever as a young player. Another thing if Jordan played those 2 years he played baseball he would have won 8 in a row, then this discussion wouldn't even exist so keep that in mind. LJ is a more physical player then MJ and more athletic then MJ but MJ is a better defender, better scorer, and played against the greatest players of all time.

Because back in the day people called people who hyped jordan dumb. Not saying lebron will be the greatest i think he will finish in the top 3. But if he beats the warriors. He will be 2nd of all time. But he wont be the greatest. So top 5 1. Jordan 2. Kobe 3. Kareem 4. Lebron 5. Bird.

    • @blackheart0129
      @blackheart0129 7 років тому +1

Do you really believe that Lebron left so Cavs can rebuild? Seriously?! Ok, I guess if that's what you believe it sounds a bit desperate to me though. Jordan had a better team on his first few years as well. Most people forget that Jordan was drafted in 84' and he didnt win a championship ring until 91'. That wasnt the point though. The fact that MJ never left Chicago. Despite uncertain future and yes it was still an uncertain future for the Bulls a year or two before they won their first ring. Pippen was still developing his skills and Phil Jackson was a fairly new coach but still Bulls never had to worry about MJ leaving.
Even he Lakers felt the same with Kobe. He instead forced the team to do something to get back to their winning ways quick by saying he wanted a trade. But they still never had to worry about Kobe being a free agent.
Where's Wilt and Bill Russel on that list of top 5?
