Interesting that Joan Collins who was on one of the most popular shows in the 80’s decided to do GL which at this time was starting sink. I guess the producers figure she was going to save the show. She did a pretty good job overall.
She requested to be released from her deal with Guiding Light after three-months into her tenure, citing other commitments for the reason of her request. Upon her request, they were able to secure Marj Dusay's return. Joan was rumoured to be returning in 2003, but they did not pan out.
