Living Full-Time in a Winnebago Revel for Two Years

- This is a highlight reel celebrating two years of travel and adventure in our 2021 Winnebago Revel. We're not your typical van-dwellers; a couple of awkward 40-somethings. If the road is paved, we're not interested. We love seeking out secluded corners of the map, where there are spectacular views and no one else for miles. It's not van-life, it's just life... and there happens to be a van.
This is a feel-good video, and scenes depicting conflict or despair were intentionally omitted.

You just single handily help sell a couple thousand of these Adventure Vans lol. We are in the process of building our 2nd Sprinter AWD into an Adventure rig. Awesome video compilation of what these things can do. Not just an RV but Freedom on and off the beaten path

Great video Chris! Like I told you when we briefly talked at the NW Overland Rally quite a few years ago, yours is my favorite channel. Your equal enjoyment of the trail/adventure as well as camp life exactly matches mine. I like that you only outfit your vehicles with what is needed & don't go over the top buying literally all the crazy expensive & often unneeded gadgets just to go out & enjoy offroad camping. Keep up the great work. I've grown bored of almost all my other overland travel channels but not yours. God Bless you & Shannon. I always chuckle because my wife is named Shannon too lol.

Wanted to share a mod I did to my StarLink on my Revel that works well. StarLink Pivot mount that attaches to roof rack on the rear passenger side. Just two T bolt and done. Then you won’t have to strap in down. Great video!

I see a lot of these 4WD Sprinter platform vans driving around here. None of them look like they have ever been offroad for even the simplest trips. I like the way how you folks use your van like it was built to be used!

How do you feel about the 170 Sprinter? Do you think the size would have been a hindrance or a benefit if traveling the same paths that you took? Awesome vids btw!
It’s tempting from a living comfort standpoint. We just met up with friends recently who have a really nicely executed 170 custom conversion, and they headed out on the Camino del Diablo.
So yes, a 170 can get it done 80% but there are certainly a few trails that it would not have been a smart choice. Overall, for how we prefer to travel, the 144 struck the best balance of comfort : agility.

How would you keep your dog safe temperature while you stepped out for work? If you don't work at an office, would this be possible?
Shannon says: we have AC and a now-robust power system to run it for several hours. I also worked from the van full time. Finegan was never unsafe or uncomfortable, thank goodness!

Does the Revel have 4lo or just traction control?
It does have 4Lo. Although anything built in 2022+ chassis is AWD. Ours is a 2020
