I just did it by watching this video, you are a life saver, works a lot better than I expected, I have no rock at all now and a much more solid take off. Thanks man
10:41... Your car sounds good on the inside! My Regal GS supercharger needs a new coupler, sounds like 3 or 4 bad power steering pumps lined up next to eachother.
Stuart W lol thanks sadly the trans went out a week ago lol but I’m saving up to by a built one and I’m buying some yella terra rockers to put on it and get a e85 tune and I’ll have videos of all that! Yeah my buddy had a bad coupler and they sound horrible when it gets worn out lol
sstrick500 cool glad it helped you! If nothing else it should at least buy you sometime to get new ones or whatever, I’ve had mine flipped since I made this video and it’s still better then it use to be. Before it was horrible but I didn’t want to by new ones
YZ426F yea I use to have a 2000 gt and they were really bad so I bought new ones and those wore out so I figured I'd give this a try for now cause I've seen people do it, what year is yours?
YZ426F cool I didn't know either of those things, this one has like "torque management" and "abuse mode" on top of the traction control so even when that's off I try and do a burnout and it acts like traction control kicks in hard, it sucks I guess you can get it tuned out but idk I want to get a mail order tune for this once I do a few other things
mine is completely spin happy any more than half throttle from a stand still and im spinning them. I can actually spin if I roll on to it going 25 in first gear. surprisingly first gear goes to 45mph before it shifts around 6k rpm. ZZP makes a good pcm if you are interested. it even double down shifts if it can feel you brake boosting or just punching the pedal.
Is it best doing one at a time? Mine are shot and need replacing but was wondering & could find no answers anywhere! Lol Some person said I gotta replace ALL mounts but I don't believe that.
Doing one at a time will allow each new mount to be extra stressed, however, it should be fine to replace in pairs. Both uppers, then later the lowers in horizontal pairs.
The only bad thing is when they decide to go they give up entirely...i drove mine on a 12 hour road trip not a problem no oil consumption or weird noises at 178k miles then the next day.. I said hello to a rod on my way to work
New mounts wouldn't solve the issue. What this procedure over comes is the verticle rubber being pulled sideways, instead force being applied to one side of the rubber beam. Gm builds the mount and installs the rubber vertically. If you look at one in person, the rubber mount looks is a square with a rubber beam running through the middle, only connecting 2 sides. When this beam is situated vertically, it prevents the engine from moving vertically, but allows movement forward and backwords. Causing the engine to rock and shudder back and forth engaging a gear and sudden acceleration. By resituating the beams horizontally, the engine now has a stiffer resistance to the forward and backward motions, allowing firmer shifts and less jitter with transaxle. It does allow engine to move vertically more though. This is a good procedure for a free modification, however, this can cause excess strain on other motor mounts as well if they are worn out. The best option is zzp polyeurathane mounts. They are solid and prevent the motor movement completely, while still absorbing hard movement

Honestly thank you again man, I just bought my new car and with rent due I can’t go buying any other parts. Wish I could do more than like and subscribe. Haha

Okay, if you're not the actual guy in this video you have to be his Mom! 😆
That’s the reason for my 07 lacrosse has the jitters!!! Where was your video last several weeks, thank God I found it now!
I like how you use the car wash as a garage!
William Tickhill lol had to get that lighting for a video man
William Tickhill 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
THANK YOU! ! !
They probably didn't put them like that from rhe factory because they wanted to make money for mechanics. Thanks again.

Thanks. My bushings are trashed, so I wanted to flip them to see if that would help. Its better than it was before!

I’ve also had people recommend getting polyurethane for those mounts but this is definitely a great option since it’s free!
Thank You! ! !
What is the part name of the "rubber" that your turning? ?? Please Reply.
Great video
Genius!!!!!💯💯
Gonna go do this right now
Did it work
yea dude the dog bones become trash. i had already had mine rotated but I put some polly ones in a few months ago and it really made a difference.

I might have to try the poly ones though when these ware out
I have a 97 coupe which is the lightest of all the years and came from the factory without traction control

Did you but a jack under the motors?
No there’s still the motor and trans mount underneath so you don’t need to worry about that, these just prevent the engine from rocking front to back
@@BoostedBuckets thank you bud
All hail the mighty 3800. Not as indestructible as the famous Jeep 4.0 straight six, but awfully close.
John I know to bad they stoped making them I love the 3800 platform, don't really know much about jeeps but I have heard about the 4.0

The dest course of action is to take that engine and put it into a Fiero.
Mine did a back flip the other day. x'D
Ok what's the purpose of this again i mean wouldn't it be easier to just get new mounts

Bad design or designed to last twice as long
Annnnd @ 2:55 "FUCK!"
You look too young to have figured that out
