Betty White was one of those people who kept all of her marbles and remained sharp right up until the very end.
Georgia Engel was the actress with the baby voice. She's most known for playing Georgette on the Mary Tyler Moore Show in the 70s.
She was also in everybody loves raymond
@@juandiegorenteriatrejoI don’t remember her on that show! I’ve only watched a handful of episodes, though. She’s SO cute 😂
I was introduced to Betty White as the man crazy SueAnn Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, in which Georgia Engel played a brilliant supporting role as the girlfriend/wife of Ted Baxter.
Betty White is an icon. Please check out more of her brilliance.
Betty White was also fantastic as Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore Show in the 1970's
Wendy Malick, the tall woman playing an aging actress, was in Young Sheldon, Billions, Frasier (Martin & Frasier's girlfriend), Emperor's New Groove, News Radio, Mom (tv series), and many ,many more shows as guest appearances. She also appeared in movies since the late 70s.
She also played a supermodel in Just Shoot Me with David Spade and George Segal
Valerie was on the show" One day at a time". Valerie ex husband name was Rock star Eddie Van Halen
The baby voice lady was also on Everybody Loves Raymond as Robert's MIL and Valerie Bertinelli was married to Eddie Van Halen.
Plus The Mary Tyler Moore Show.😊
@@stephaniemccarthy1676yes, also with Betty White.
She was also on the old Mary Tyler Moore Show as Ted Baxter's girl!
Valerie Bertinelli's first acting job was on One Day at a Time.
She was HYSTERICAL in that role, the episode pat smokes is comedy GOLD.
The blonde with the baby voice was Ted Baxter’s wife on The Mary Tyler Moore show. But that was over 50 years ago.
Her name was Georgia Engel, and she was on "Everybody Loves Raymond" as Amy's mother.
Betty White was only supposed to be in the pilot, but she is too good not to keep on.
Betty White's very different characters on Mary Tyler Moore*, Golden Girls, and ...Hot in Cleveland prove how awesome she really was! *including with "baby girl voice" twice.
Valerie Bertinelli starred in the TV show 'One Day at a Time'. She was married to Eddy Van Halen.
You should react to the Hot in Cleveland Bloopers
The premise of the show the three younger women were flying to New York and they're playing had a detour in Cleveland and while they were there, they were getting lots of attention from men they were "Hot in Cleveland" so they move there and met Elka and rest is history...
Hot in Cleveland is famous, it's amazing you haven't heard of it. It's the only good modern sitcom.
There's Carol Burnett on the couch! Betty White was also on Mama's Family with Carol Burnett, but she wasn't in the show much
Betty Engle: Baby voice. from The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Better White Show and voiceovers. Her and Betty worked together for years.
Jane Leeves: The Benny Hill Show, Frasier
Valerie Bertinelli: One Day at a Time
Betty was literally the first person on tv there were no set up then so she did everything singing cooking for hours a day until a structured show was made she was in so many shows. She hosted Saturday Night Live by fan demand we loved her!
That lady you are thinking of was in the sitcom "Just Shoot Me" had David Spade as well. a fashion magazine office was the main set place. Valarie was married to Eddie Van Halen, and now she does cooking shows on Food Network.
Love Betty White! Huge OB fan and this channel. You and your wife, whos name i wont attempt to spell, give off the air of class. Cheers from Niceville Florida!!! yes its a real place lol
Hello Niceville...from Valparaiso, Florida...we be neighbors - RIP Miss Betty!
WOW small world!
@@williambill5172 My real name is Dave Carr,,,the internet is so small lol
Valerie Bertinelli was in "One Day at a Time". Georgia Engle was also a cast member on the Mary Tyler Moore Show. She played Georgette, the wife of air-headed news man Ted Baxter.
Valerie was in One Day At A Time, set here in Indianapolis, and married to Eddie Van Halen, mother of Wolf V H. Georgina was in Mary Tylor Moore and Everybody Loves Raymond. Wendy was in Dream On and other shows. Jane Cleeves was on Fraiser.
The one with the short bob.. she was in "Friends"..lol
The soft-spoken lady was in the Mary Tyler Moore show and also played Robert's (Everybody Loves Raymond) girlfriend.
The baby voice character is a cast mate of Betty White’s sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore tv show.
2:18 - Is that the same actress who played Pat (Amy's mother) on Everybody Loves Raymond?
7:41 - Oh, that cute little doggie!
BTW, Betty White also played in several episodes of Bones. 😀
Betty White was beautiful when she was young. She was featured in a deck of naked lady playing cards in a black and white photo.
Valerie Bertinelli was on the 70s TV show One Day At A Time. She was married to the guitarist Eddie Van Halen, not the singer.
The tall thin lady played on the show “Frasier”as Frasier dad’s (Martin) girlfriend then later on show got married and became his wife.
BTW Jane Leeves who played Daphne in Frasier. Got her start with Benny Hill. In the 80s she was one of Hill's Angels and also was in a number of sketches.
You deffo need to check out her bloopers from this show - ‘Best Betty White Bloopers of all Time’ it never fails to make me laugh ☺️👌
Valerie Bertinelli was in the sitcom One Day at a Time. The one you think was the receptionist in Grease is Ted Baxter's girlfriend and then later wife in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Georgia Engel. Actress Doddie Goodman played the receptionist on Grease.
Wendy Malick was in "just shoot me". I believe thats who your talking about Daz. Valerie Bertinelli was in "one day at a time" back in the late 70s when she was a teen, before she married eddie van halen obviously. Georgia Engel has been in many great sitcoms from "the mary tyler moore show up to "everybody loves raymond". The list of stars who made appearances on this show is incredible..john mahoney..frasers dad and peri gilpin..roz..from "fraser", carl reiner, john lovitz, mary tyler moore, kirtsie alley, william shattner, wayne knight...newman from seinfeld, fred willard..who played georgias husband on "everybody loves raymond...they where roberts in-laws when he married amy, bonnie franklin...who played valeries mom on "one day at a time", sean hayes...who played jack on "wiil and grace" and so many others. I dont think there ever was a sitcom that had so many stars of past television shows and movies make appearances. And dont forget that betty white also was on the " mary tyler moore show".
for some great betty white materiel, check out the AFI tribute to morgan freeman. She opens the show with a comedy bit.
"The Lion King" player was singer Rick Springfield.
They did an episode where Elka & Mamie Sue reunited their bowling team (GLOBs) from the 60s and it was the entire Mary Tyler Moore cast. They've had so many stars from sitcoms of the 1970s and 1980s, esp people they acted with on other shows. So it was a long funny reunion.
The Amish episode is my favorite - George Wendt (Norm) from Cheers reprised a modified version of his character at the bar. The Bachelor was great too. In the Cold in Cleveland episode Lesly Nichols plays an obnoxious British woman as a substitute for Joy's mother who can't make it for Christmas. Kirstie Alley from Cheers played in an episode also. Craig Ferguson had a recurring role as Joy's baby daddy. And since Victoria (Wendie) was a former soap actress whose rival was Susan Lucci, Susan appeared in a number of episodes.
Truly a well-written show and great last role for Betty and cast.
Baby voice girl with the bop? She played on the Mary Tyler Moore show as Georgette (Actess Georgia Engel).
Betty White, taking on the Sophia role in HiC.
YEA - ANOTHER great comedy!! :) ENJOY!!!
baby voice girl was georgette on the mary tyler moore show.
Valerie Bertinell was in a show called one day at a time. She was indeed married to Eddie Van Halen. The one that plays the actress was on a show called Just shoot me. Of coarse Daphne from Frasier and Betty white has a list to long to go over.
that actress lady was in frazier , She was also on seinfeld .
I didn’t see it mentioned here but Jane Leeves (who you recognized from Frasier) was on a two-episode run on Seinfeld in what is one of that show’s most popular episodes, both critically and among fans. She’s in season 4: Episode 9 (The Virgin) and Season 4: Episode 10 (The Contest). I’m not sure if you’re still doing Seinfeld on Patreon but if so I would think you’d be coming up to her episodes soon. So keep an eye out.
Georgia Engel played "Georgette" on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and her character was married to Ted Knight's "Ted Baxter" anchorman character. Georgette was initially a co-worker of Valerie Harper's "Rhoda" & they worked at a department store in Minneapolis. She was 24 when she started in 1972. Ironically, Betty White on both TMTMS & "Hot In Cleveland" was only supposed to be an 1-episode character.
Her character of Sue Ann Nivens "The Happy Homemaker" on the TV station, was introduced on the first episode of the 4th season as having an affair with Cloris Leachman's "Phyllis" husband ... At the end of the episode, Sue Ann had to choice between her show or the guy and she of course, chooses her show. The response was so over-whelming she became a regular for the final four seasons.
On here, Elka was only supposed to be in the pilot because Betty was 88 years old at the time and didn't really want to do another TV sitcom after doing 4 years on TMTMS (1974-77), 8 years on "The Golden Girls" & "The Golden Palace" (1985-1993) but wound up doing all 6 seasons of "Hot In Cleveland" (2010-15). She won an Emmy for playing Sue Ann & it was rumored that her feud with Bea Arthur only increased because Betty was the first of the four actresses to win an Emmy on "The Golden Girls"
One of the most endearing episodes now that they have sadly all passed away, but they did an episode that re-united Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachmann, Georgia Engel & Betty White ... their characters were bowling champions back in the late 1960s but when they went to take their photo, that's when the "argument" happened that supposedly broke them all up. You should watch that one. Season 4, episode 23 ironically called "Love Is All Around" (that was the theme song to TMTMS).
she was in just shoot me! that’s what i remember her from
Wendy Malick, with David Spade and George Segal, hunh? Fashion magazine show with her also an old model.
@@Billy-zv6gv yep that’s the one!
She's also the university president on Young Sheldon.
I first seen Wendy on the HBO in the early 90's show Dream On.
Then did voice work on Jimmy Neutron. 😂
I think Malick does a lot of Hallmark TV movies now.
Wendy was also an old model who was the mom of American Housewife.
Watch Betty whites blooper compilation video for hot in cleaveland. You'll cry from laughing.
You guys should check out the Mary Tyler Moore Show. Betty White played Sue Ann Nivens, the Happy Homemaker on a local TV station. Sue Ann was sickeningly sweet on the surface; but razor tongued and lascivious underneath. Betty White was SUPERB in the part.
Please put this series on patron. 20k subscribers within a day. I truly believe.😊
Betty did this show from her late 80s to mid 90s
The premise of the show is that 3 middle aged women from LA are starting to feel a bit past it. They get stranded in Cleveland and realize that the men in Cleveland think they are still hot, so they decide to stay. They rent a house. Betty White is the caretaker. Hilarity ensues!
Valerie Bertinelli was married to the late Eddie Van Halen.
She was in her 90s then the oldest actress working
Check out the outtakes from this show with Ms. White. There is a great one.
Everyone love Raymond
I hear Eda the owl lady’s voice actor. I think it is the lady who’s character wants to be an actor
I love Hot in cleveland ... But you have to see it all to understand the funny part
Does Daz not know Van Halen?!
The other old woman was Amy's mother in Everybody Loves Raymond. Utter shite, but she was in it.
I thought that was where I've seen her before too!! Lol
in Fraiser
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 classic
and on coach
Mary Tyler Moore. Best show ever
Aiden thinks he's too cool for Betty White
Always liked Jane Leeves
Who IS that British woman? So familiar, I want to say from... Catherine Tate?
Do you mean Joy (Jane Leeves) or the woman who played her mother (looked to me like Juliet Mills possibly)
@@janetsanford6923 I have no idea, she just looks familiar. She's at the door at 0:59 - trying to recall where I've seen her.
The woman at the door talking to the fireman about Star Trek is Jane Leeves (Daphne from the show "Frasier")
Not saying the show ain't funny because it was, but when did Rose turn into Sophia?? Lmaooooooo that's all they did was take Sophia's character and give it to Betty white lol
Betty's characters were always the slightly mean, sarcastic types. Rose was a complete flip on her usual roles.
@peterdennis4394 ya I know that... but THIS particular character is almost a direct character transplant...
