I just discovered TN's last year and switched from the A5s I have used for DECADES to Standard Size TNs for my Planner Set-up! I have 3 Inserts: Monthly, Weekly, and a Blank for Reference, Lists, and Notes. Of course I bought All.The.Things! I also have the Passport Size (just Monthly plus a Blank for Notes on the go) that I keep in my purse. I love the flexibility and having fewer pages than a bound notebook helps me to "compartmentalize" and organize by subject or purpose, which satisfies my dominant Left Brain! I still use my "collection" (aka "my hoard") of larger, book-bound notebooks for lengthy journaling sessions, but the TNs are wonderfully flexible and sized well for lists, daily thoughts or notes, functionality, etc. I can't believe you got SIX notebooks into that cover!
I could not agree more. I'm just getting back into my journal after decades, so the small size of the standard TNs is perfect so far. I do like to add pictures and things which make it a little too small. It's perfect for notes like you said, which is why I think for traveling, the passport/pocket size is perfect, and then I can make larger spreads later. It's always a work in progress! I do have an A5 leather bound journal I will probably get back into using when I have the habit down and start to need that space. I was also surprised it fit all 6! I don't think it could handle one more. It's a great everyday carry option, and the leather feels more rugged, so I can just throw it in my bag and go. I still have that new TN thing going on where I don't want to mess up the cover.
You just about described my plan for 2025 - TN for my everyday planner with Monthly, weekly and blank for daily by Sterling Ink and use a passport size to carry in my purse with just a monthly and blank notebook! This year I used a Hobonichi type notebook made by Sterling Ink.
I actually got it from the Michaels website at www.michaels.com/product/itoya-journal-sidekick-black-magnetic-pen-holder-D272217S I'm sure there might be other places it is sold as well.

Thanks for sharing. I always like to see how people set up their tns!
Me too! And with the new Tokyo set coming out, I'm trying to remind myself that I don't need to add anything. Yet 😆
@@KimbosCrafts ahh yes, very tempting but I ended up ordering only an insert and the charms because they are so cute!
@tortagialla That's what I was considering. Will need my budget to catch up with me first, but a refill is always useful.
Wish you had mentioned where you got the magnetic flip pen
