I need to do more research on miscanthus. Ive been curious and seen several videos about it, but neve retained the information. Its something I would be interested in placing around portions of the property. Currently im using cuttings from dappled willows, OP-367, red osier, yellow twig and some elderberries.
This makes a great addition to your arsenal. As long as your plants don’t have to be “Native” . The Giant Miscanthus although not invasive is a Non-Native plant .
@@thebowtroll GMG is to extend my screening wall . As i pass at the road 150 yards away the deer are still seeing me thru the high canopy tree line . I staggered the row because I still want the deer 🦌🦌🦌to be able to enter from that Same direction
@@brushcrawler8612 cause I needed every inch of those clumps I got . Lol . In future I will do that …. And video it as well . . Thanks for watching and commenting . Great question 👨🏻👍🏼👍🏼
@@figandcloverranch5871 Gotcha. I would be interested in seeing you grow a couple pieces in pots, at home, for the summer. A little comparison between site grown and a control group that you feed with liquid fertilizer...???... It might pay off big time for first year growth. Have a dandy clump to plant in the fall
Great seeing before and after
Thanks . I am happy with both as well 😉
Looks really good . I like the being able to see two diff stages in one video . Thanks
Looks great
@@MariaBRD thanks really happy with my planting and it coming up . Gunna expand the food plot over to it next spring

Figgy Why did you plant the GMG in that location? Just curious what the reasoning was behind it. It looks great though. Keep up the good work!

I have to get on this miscanthus next year. When did you order it to get it in the ground in time?
When you order they give you ship date options , this way when they ship you are ready to plant . It’s a nice thing
Why didn't you just harvest some rhizomes off of the established clumps?
