I’m so happy that song became a staple, such a great song lyrically and musically!!
A staple? What? Are you even paying attention to what your watching?
Rusty Shackleford They played it a few times in the latest shows I enjoy it!!!
I am from algerias i like metalica
karim marouf I’m from Australia I like it too, cause it doesn’t matter where you come from you appreciate good things!!
A few shows recently is hardly a staple
This, Minus Human and I Disappear always made me wonder what that follow-up album to ReLoad around 2001-2002 would've sounded like if Jason hadn't left and James didn't go to rehab (yet).
Yes, same! I love the direction of those three songs!
I woulda been like minus human more but maybe metallica woulda sounded like soundgarden
@@mungofinalfi4480 i just watched skom few days ago after a while
Shadows of the Cross ftw
Play Fixxxer
Lars is making the best comeback in music history
What happened?
Lars is
That's lame.
Fail.
@@chokethewoke746 he is playing way better than the last years
With a song which is in 4 bpm? Yeah hard work...
Honestly the best live version of this song in quite a while. You can really tell how drained James was getting in 2019 and my god does Lars playing on time improve the performances a lot
Just don’t tell Lars he’s playing in-time or he might stop it to spite us.
@@EliteY33t2 although it was quite a difficult time I do appreciate the SM2 performance. Shows he’s a fucking warrior no matter what, and I respect that. Papa Het saved my life back in the early 90s and now that I’ve been 4 years sober he’s saving me once again.
@@EliteY33t2 why is it cringeworthy?
@@thebeave0630 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Didn't see S&M2?
This is the best they have sounded live in a LONG time... and I've been a fan since Day 1 (yea, 1983...). Lars must have locked himself in a room and relearned the drums... he's super on-time, no crazy stuff... 🤘🤘
Agreed🥁🍗
My, you are a absolute OG, I just got addicted to them like 4-5 years ago
His quick snare rolls still sound too fast for the song, like little bursts that don’t match the original’s tempo. But overall they sound great!
He’s just playing to a click track now on his ears to keep him on time. Drummers not on a click go faster or slower
A fan since 83 also and I'm one of lars's biggest critics and I will second the fact that on this tour he has tightened it the f*ck up. Unfortunately it's about 20 years too late.
Metallica never gets old.
Metallica grows old be never get old
you can clearly see everyone is better, james sings amazing, lars improved a lot (and what a snare tone), kirk playing really good, and cant say a lot about rob but he's always at his top
I think its the black album tribute snare, sounds amazing
@@pessinieminen4341Lars uses a mix between drum triggers and natural drum sound so I think it’s probably a hardwired snare sound on the trigger and the black album tribute snare natural sound
except kirk cause he always invent the solo from his mind and doesnt play the original solo
@@saviovs2769 Because there is no original solo. The S&M recording was pasted together from parts of both performances plus additional studio recording.
@@SuperPol1981 but there is a solo recorded. so he learns the solo and play correctly. ist like the drum parts from justice. pieces and pieces together but lars plays the song? so kirk could plays the solo too.
They should play Minus Human back! One of their heaviest song.
agree, that main riff
Hell yes!
Add Devils dance too.
Fuck yeah man. With James' current voice I think minus human would be killer.
Lars has been the biggest improvement since they started doing shows again. You can tell he has used his time well and practiced songs, timings and new fills. Not to mention he looks like he is having the time of his life too.
I think the Covid lockdown last year has given the whole members of Metallica a good enough rest, although i am sure they were nervous with the uncertainties but i am glad Live Music is happening again at least in the USA
@@dessy844 Maybe they realized they need the music as much as the fans and got a second wind. IDK
hes playing better, but he still uses the same tired bullshit fills that dont fit any single metallica song.
@@jamesnewcomb9834 That's just his style of playing. Creative license and all that.
These guys are such workhorses I think the pandemic forced them to have the much needed year-plus off that they needed.
This is one of the best from S&M, love this song.
2:57 James turning into his 29 years old self
👏 👏 👏 👏
Now that Lars has the right tempo, it's time to play
- Human
That one really needs Jason on the backup vocals
@@tiagometallica007 Bring Jason back for the 40th anniversary events to play - Human 🤟🏻
@@9VENDETTA Honestly it's just so weird to me that Rob has been in the band for 18 years and still can't sing for shit. Actually I don't even want him to sing, just scream ffs, any audience member would do a better job than him
@@tiagometallica007 Yeah, the backing vocals have always been Rob's weak point. To be fair, Jason left *massive* shoes to fill, in that department 🤟🏻
@@9VENDETTA Kirk should be stepping up. When Kirk does backing vocals, it always sounds fantastic.
Man, I love Rob being in this band. He just added that edge that they were missing 15 years ago. Their setlists changed massively when he joined and their sound just got better and better
@DimebagVision sometimes I don't think they utilize him well enough. Don't get me wrong he's a good musician it's just James and Lars don't use him like they should.
@@BasketCase420 well i didn't understand that until i've listened some of his previous work, like Suicidal Tendencies or Infectious Grooves, where his style seems to be different. IMO he joined band too late to change the way it goes, although he has some credit in writing new music like flamenco gimmick in all nightmare long
It would be nice if he would have his own bass solo’s cause he’s fucking amazing instead of having him play cliffs solo with that awful sounding distorted wah.
Metallica have no trash basist all of metallica basist is awesome
@DimebagVision Jason better than Rob on back vocal and live energy, but like bassist Rob much better.
I dont think Metallica has made a bad album.... it's just they grew as artists. People dont understand this untill themselves grow as a artist . Even st anger now that I look back on it had a punk metal fusion
@StringPullerz st anger the perfect album to listen too when you’re angry
St. Anger needed to happen. They had to do it. It helped them.
Easily the best album after Justice is St anger
@@MyBrothersKeeper101 Ah, to Hell with rankings dude.
@@itchy.tasty. Merely an expression of preference.
The hidden gem in Metallica's discography.
Damn!!! I can listen to this drumming from 4:08 till the end over and over again!!! 🤘🏻
Just the 4 guys in the band, with no symphony. Still sounds MASSIVE \m/
I just wanted to thank Metallica for being such a positive presence in heavy metal. I know the community has had their differences with the band, but overall, I think we wouldn't be half the community we are if not for these guys. So I appreciate everything they've done and everything they continue to do for music.
This is probably the best non symphony performance of this song I’ve ever heard
One of the best for sure, i think Minneapolis 2018 still is the best sounding one tho.
I cant believe how tight this band sounds, best since '91
Lars is making it hard to make fun of him. Been on point in every recent videos I’ve watched. 🤘
Click track makes miracles )
Lars is one of the best to ever do it ..🔈🔈🔉🔉🔊🔊🔊🔊
Never really liked the beats he made and I definitely wasn’t happy with the way he played live but now I’m proud of my little danish friend
Dudes actually hitting hard like in his young years
Lars being close to in time makes such a huge difference to these performances, Rob looks reinvigorated and able to groove more confidently and James and Kirk look more in sync than ever
The pandemic forced them to take a long overdue break.
That intro into the heavy riff is so goddamn satisfying every time. On the S&M2 show the conductor seemed to go “holy shit thats heavy!” on the transition
The kings still have it! Can't wait for the 40th anniversary shows in December.
Will they invite Dave back? The 30th had him and many others..
@@TornadoOfSouls777 let's just hope it is bigger and better
Me too brother, they are sounding great
@@TornadoOfSouls777 hope so!
Kirks face when he’s playing the guitar solos always makes me so happy, he just so glad to be a star
This and Hero of the Day should be on every single setlist
Yep
I would love if Hero of the Day made a return, it's one of the highlights from Load.
Man deadass they need to put hero of the day back on their setlists
This and Disposable Heroes
And until it sleeps
The most underrated Metallica's song but one of the best if all. It's great that they finally played live after so many years. I love this song.
This song just hits different! To me one the band's greatest songs, hope they play it on the next tour dates 🖤
WE WANT LOAD/RELOAD SONGS FULL VERSIONS LIVE PLEASE
Happy 40th Anniversary Metallica!!
I like the fill at 4:11. It's simple and easy, but when Lars does sth like this it feels like the coolest thing ever.
Greeny sounds so amazing kirk is the maddest guy for just using it like it aint no thang
4:16 Love that fill-in!
Sound mixing is flawless.
Love that Kirk has Greeny up there letting it rip on the road. That guitar is one of the all time greats.
Happy 40th birthday, Metallica. All the best!!!
1:45 Wonderful capture of the bass. So close. Wow.
Best regards from Poland, super cool 💥👏
My favourite Metallica Song !! Still love the S&M version as the best !!! Still remember buying the pirated tape set at a flea market in Bangalore in 2003 as the official tapes released much much later for us folk those days .. Did buy the Blue Ray S&M a few years back to make it up to James& Co.. not to forget Michael Kamen's genius..
There aren’t many bands from the 80s that still have me excited for a new album. Metallica is one of them
Best performance of this song since S&m🤘🤘
chills, literally chills
Love this song
Metallica была есть и будет иконой и образцом металла в мире!
Лучше них не будет никого в ближайшие стони лет!
Да, брат, ты чертовски прав!
My God, Lars is BACK!
What a song. One of my favorites.
0:16 In love with that Phrygian Dominant Bb minor scale
I remember listening this song S&M 99, loved it back then, still loving it today, only more..
Long Live Metallica!!! 🤘
One of my favorites.
Im really glad they're playing this song live more, its great!
Such a good mix. Kirk is the reigning king of wah!
I'm still has goosebumps while listening to this awesome song ...daaamnnnn soo strong and powerful !!! 🤘💪
I love this song!!
I've loved that song since the first time I heard it...... I still do!! Phenomenal!!!
This is one of their best work, hands down!
So glad to see fans enjoying absolute class. Gig envy running through my veins.
I love this song. Thank you Metallica 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yesss Larssss the fill on point and the Tempo precise. Love it.
Man they sounded amazing at this show (based off these uploads) I love that they have started playing No Leaf Clover live again more recently. It's one of my absolute favorite Metallica songs
Simply fantastic.
Wish I could see them live once more
Love this song.
God DAMN this sounds as good as the original performance!
I hope they play this song next year when I’m on their concert
coming to see you guys in vegas! dream come true for me. 40 years. amazing!
The best song ever. Always makes me feel powerful!
This is going to be awesome, if this is the last post from the sac show it’s worth it. These shows were amazing and Metallica is sounding so awesome as of late! The COVID downtime was not wasted!
8 more minutes, tick tick tick tok. I am frantically waiting for this video to be available. Thanks Metallica for adding great quality videos all the time.
I love these boys. Always will be my favorite band of all time 🤘
My respect for them just grew because this video shows they clearly don't care if they are playing for 100 people or 100,000... acts of this magnitude that are willing to play small rooms like this are very rare. It shows they are still humble and down to earth despite their success. I used to work in concert production so it is real obvious to me based on experience that these guys are the real deal.
This is the Lars we want ! This is the Lars we need !!!!!
E olha que o And Justiça for All para mim é melhor .
Lyrics are absolutely brutal in this, what a gem of a song! so happy they are playing it often.
It's good to see metallica still active in 2021
Não tem palavras pra dizer o quão foda eles estão. A cada lançamento já no aguardo do próximo vídeo. Metallica obrigado
Watching this live is one of the beautiful things there is. Thank you, Metallica.
I love this guys a lot
Love all your music Metallica you are the best! Love watching you perform and would love to see you live! ❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
С Днём Рождения, Метла! 🤘From Russia with respect 🙃!
Wow sounding really good for live, boys have been practising 🤟
One of their best songs! Good performance
One of the songs that gives you goosebumps
Rob’s bass is BOOMIN.
Amazing song.....we don't get enough music like this any more nowadays
Getting better,
As time moves on...
And they are Badass from the beginning...
🤘🤘 MetallicA 🤘🤘
Metallica is BACK BABY!
Lars beat is turns back like Reload. S&M1 era. Also james voice too. Metallica is back 🤘

omg I wish I could see Metallica in concert for once in my life. All time Favorite band ever!!!
Still one of my favorites from S&M and this time again in an amazing performance…… still gives me the shivers. Thanks guys for so many years (first album bought: black) of amazing music 🤘🏻
Круто!
Круто весьма....впрочем как всегда))))
Just gotta love the entry
Man, I wish I was there!
I love this song! I used to play when I was on college here in Brazil. That final solo still give me goosebumps 🎸
Wonder if they would ever play with a backing track for this one, it feels a bit empty without the orchestra.
Still one of my all time fav Metallica songs.
Since James started wearing is guitars a little higher his playing has become even better. Hands down my favourite rhythm guitarist, but his leads are pretty tasty as well 🤘
His back probably couldn't take it anymore. He used to be hunched over sometimes.
@The XSP-XTREME STREET PREACHER Good point, that could also be why we don’t see him playing his original Gibson Iron Cross as much. Being a 70’s era Les Paul Custom it probably weighs well over 10lbs
The band sounds killer in 2021.
Great music and vocals here.
Loved it
Не стареют душой ветераны🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Yes , Lars is the great Drumer . I recognize this . We Need recognize their ability . METALLICA 🤟
I mean he's better than the fan base often portrays him to be, but he is still by far the least skilled member and a sub-par drummer by most bands' standards
