I should love this car but... heres why the Urus is a disappointment. Please check out @camperghini and @camperghini on Instagram #lamborghini #urus #dadcars #purosangue
Was a pleasure to meet you, I do understand your issues with the car and said similar things before I owned it as an Audi fan boy… but after driving and living in it for the last almost year I have got to say I do love driving it. So much fun for what I am doing.
I agree with you. I don’t see why most owners buy a “performance” SUV over a perfectly good estate car. The space inside is similar and the additional weight and compromises of making it off road capable is a huge waste of resources for the vast majority of owners. Owners just want the height for its looks/their superiority complex and better visibility. At least this guy is using it an appropriate way, good for him.
Ive never liked an URUS either, its going to be ridiculously expensive to maintain and doesn't have the wow factor of other Lambos. I get the SUV thing for families as the ride height is convenient for loading kids and shopping. But for me, if I had a choice for our family car (I don't, the boss does as she ferries the kids while I'm at work), it would be an RS6 Avant
Parents buy SUVs more than anything to make it easier to load in kids and shopping. The higher ride makes this possible. I love the RS6 but I'm in my 40's. I don't want to be bending down every time a child is getting in and out.
Personally Id still prefer an estate, You just get more boot space, and less comprised handling and ride. And I'm in my 50s now with kids. for me at 150k for a used uras you could buy a new Audi fast estate AND a used Aston Martin AND a used land rover... you could own 3 cars all with specific use cases. And have way more fun
So underwhelming to see these things - the engine sound? Different matter. I’d go Rangey if I was in the market for 4x4 or CLS63 Shooting brake for family car
Fair play to Connor, love the way he’s found solutions for bringing home comforts into the car! There are probably lots of other cars that could do the whole off road thing better, but life is too short to drive boring cars 😊 I totally get the choice!
@@dadcars it was wonderful to see you and your family too!! I’m sure I’ve seen Connor get featured on another channel when was driving across the states at the start of his adventure! So cool he stopped off in the UK and let you review it! This is the adventure of a lifetime for sure 😊
19:58 that laugh and giggle is priceless. To be fair to Lambo, they’ve tried quite hard to hide the Audi underpinnings with the styling and interior and at least it isn’t ugly; more than a few manufacturers seem to be either making cars look as square, boxy and boring as possible, or as ugly as possible! I they’d been able to squeeze the V10 into the Urus then it would probably have been forgiven for almost anything.
Hi from 2031! Urus' are really quite cheap, but very expensive to maintain, and most people would rather get a Cayenne or Q8 that's considerably cheaper still.
Me to, i'm typing this from my beach house in Birmingham. All that rising sea level was a problem, but hey....people got to drive mental and unnecessary cars around. For a while at least. We are all in rowboats now. Lambos all new forged carbon turbo family canoe is very popular. Comes with satnav and airbags for safety. lol.
I have four young kids and her indoors. So i needed a 7 seater no ifs no buts. I ended up getting a 7 seater bmw x5. 40d absolutly love it. Straight six with Over 300 bhp and over 600 nm torque. Handles mint for a suv. Its all things to all men.
I do like these but would never ever look at it as a exotic. My favourite suv is the g63 amg even if it's not the most practical or handles the best etc
wanna hear your thoughts about I8 BMW, I mean the cost of it soooo sweat, you can buy one under 25-30£ and the way it looks is really nice for that money in my opinion ;))
I do agree with you about the Urus. People buy the Urus because they want to show off but they buy the SQ7/8 because they want to drive. I own an SQ7 with the advanced suspension package that adds The adaptive sway bars from the Urus and let me say that it transforms the car from a powerful family car into a bad backroad monster. It rides well, sounds great, but throw it in dynamic and the extra ride height, air suspension, and adaptive sway bars means you can absolutely annihilate a poorly paved mountain road. I bought one because I wanted a family vehicle. I didn’t realize it would be so much fun.
People or you are we talking about? The only reason I'd get the SQ7 is if I couldn't afford the Urus. If you love to drive the Porsche Cayenne coupe GTS or Turbo are waaaay better drives than the SQ7 and would be my choice. The Audi is for people who just want a nice car without showing off.
The Urus is basically a reskinned Audi RSQ8 with a teeny tiny bit more power and a little bit swankier inside. I don't hate it, but it's not value and you'd be better off in either an RSQ8 or better still an RS6 or RS7. Still prefer the Urus to the Ferrari Purosangue though. The prices on those are insane. Can't believe people are willing to pay over half a mill. Would much rather have a GTC4Lusso V12 and keep the £350k. At least Connor is enjoying his Urus. Seems a really nice guy.
As someone looking at doing a round the world trip like this, I have to say the urus is a really terrible choice of car. I can list 100 reasons, but the headlines are Fuel availability (this car will not be happy with the poor quality fuel in South America), conspicuousness (good chance you’ll get car jacked), Range (there are many times it will be 400 miles to your next station), Reliability (if you have a breakdown parts are not going to be available), and massively compromised sleeping space for the vehicles size…….. Good luck to him though….

The cayenne gts looks much better than the urus , same platform, will handle better and imo has a more refined interior and you have fully spec one for half the price of an urus .
Nope. BMW M5 touring over RS6 all day every day. If you want super SUV, Cayenne turbo S is the best choice; better performance, better built, less money.
If you're looking for a fast luxury SUV the Tesla model X plaid seems like a great choice. Doubt there's a cheaper or more practical way to take the family down the quarter mile in sub-10 seconds.
Yours doesn’t look special but if you have the money they can look good they designed it to make Lamborghini money and give there customers something to use as an everyday kicker!…
I've never been drawn to these cars either; tall cars are just soulless show pieces. A genuine SUV that can actually get you off road is fine, but a pointless tall thing that its only plus point is being easier to get in and out of - no thanks!

Completely agree. Went from a golf GTI recently to an X5 for this exact reason. Both wife and I are very pleased

I agree a urus at 150k plus is a rip off.it is just a rebadged Audi. it should have a v10 or v12 engine.
People who buy cars like this don't care value for money
V10 or v12 you say… I have something in the works 😁
This is true! Being able to pay over the odds for something is a flex
4:50 - it’s not supercharged , it’s a biturbo v8 vag lump
You should try Audi RS6 C7
I will 😉
That driving position is giving me a headache
A Lamborghini truck without a V12.
For 200k you can buy (used) an RSQ8 and a Huracan. 😎
